'I hope Rascal is going to be okay,' Chloe says while tears are rolling down her face.

'We are here for you, Chloe.' The other girls hug her.

'He will be fine,' Kelsey says, trying to comfort her friend.

'No... Have you seen the deep cut in his side and the fact that he had trouble breathing?'

Kelsey doesn't say anything. They all know how badly injured Rascal is.

'Please don't die, Rascal...' Chloe whispers softly. 'You have to survive!'

Days have passed and Rascal hasn't woken up yet. Chloe starts to worry more and more that he may die. She sits next to him, on a chair and stares at the pale joker who lays in bed. And it has been like that for the past few days, but no matter how long she watches him, he doesn't wake up.

But then she suddenly hears a soft moan. She looks up immediantly and bows over Rascal.

'B... Breeze...' Rascal says. 'I... have to... tell you some... thing...' He brings her hand towards her face.

Chloe gets tears in her eyes and it rolls down her face.

Rascal's hand just hangs in the air and he closes his eyes. His arm starts to shake.

No! Rascal thinks. I must not lose strength. I have to protect Breeze and warn her for the awaiting danger!

But he can't. He lowers his arm and the pain is too extreme.

'R-Rascal?' Chloe asks.

No respond.

Chloe starts to cry again. 'Please come back...'

'She is not herself anymore,' Emily says to Kelsey, Lily and April and point to Chloe, who is sitting alone. 'She is not talking much and wants to be alone all the time.'

'Why does she care so much for Rascal?' Kelsey asks. 'It almost seems like she... has feelings for him.'

The girls all look at each other. They can't deny that the two seem to like each other very much.

'Well, one thing is for sure,' Emily says, 'Rascal does have a crush on Chloe. He even admitted.'

'But what about Chloe?' Lily asks.

'Maybe she doesn't dare to tell,' April says.

'But she's our friend, she has to know that she can trust us with this secret,' Emily says.

'But how do you tell something like that?' Kelsey says and looks at April. April looks back and it seems like the two share the same thought.

'We should cheer her up though,' Emily says. 'Or else she keeps feeling miserable.'

'But what can we do?' Lily looks at the others. 'Any idea's?'

'We need to spend time together as friends,' April says. 'I think that will help.'

'Maybe at the Libary of Legends?' Emily suggests.

'Good idea!' Kelsey says. 'Let's bring some food with us.'

'Can we have chocolate?!' Candy asks hopefully.

'Ofcourse!' Emily says and hugs her small pixie friend. 'We will get as much as you like!'

'Yay!'

'Let's buy everything and then we set everything ready at the Libary Of Legends!' Emily says.

And so the girls walk away, to the city to buy lots of delicious things. Fruit, sweets, chocolate, chips, fresh bread, butter, cheese, orange juice, apple juice and milk. They also bought disposable tableware.

'I hope spending some time together will cheer her up,' Emily says as she puts everything in a basket. Then they go to her house and open the bookportal. There they set everything ready.

Chloe watches Rascal when suddenly her phone rings. She stands up and walks out of the room. 'Hello?'

'Hey Chlo, with me, Em!' the voice of Emily sounds. 'Can you come to my house?'

'Is something wrong?' Chloe asks.

'No, don't worry.'

'I actually wanted to stay with Rascal...'

'That's exactly why you should come to my house,' Emily says. 'We are worried about you and we want to cheer you up!'

'Awh, that's so nice of you guys...' Chloe says and tears come to her eyes. She is so Lucky with such kind friends... And to be honest, it sounds good to distract herself. She is only sad the last few days.

'I am coming right away,' Chloe says.

'Great! See you then!'

'See you in a few minute's.' Chloe breaks the connection and puts away her phone. She then goes into the room again to look at her jester friend. It doesn't look like he is going wake up soon...

'Chloe!' Emily hugs her friend when she appears at the door.

'Hey Emily,' Chloe says.

'We're so happy that you are here!' Candy says and jumps at Chloe. Chloe hugs the little pixie.

'Me too, Candy...' Chloe whispers.

'Let's go to the libary of legends,' Emily says. 'We have prepaired something for you!'

Chloe runs after her friend and when she sees what the girls have done, she smiles.

'It looks amazing, guys,' Chloe says. 'I don't know what I would do without you...'

'We're here for you when you need us,' the girls say all together.

'Thank you,' Chloe says. 'I really appreciate it, guys...'

The girls smile. 'No proble. You are our friend.'

'And now, let's eat!' April says exited.

The girls all laugh when they remember April's big appetite when they were visiting all sorts of places with the use of the libary of legends.

Candy immediantly goes for the sweets and decides to share the same ammount with her friends.

They also chat with each other about all sorts of things. Chloe feels much better.

'Silly girls...' Moonkiller shakes his head and sniggers. 'If only they knew what is awaiting them... Too bad only Rascal knows about it, but it seems like Rascal won't make it in time to tell them.'

'We have got him really good there,' Anadil says. 'But I wonder... How come he not able to dodge it? I mean, he never got injured like that before.'

'That would be called teamwork,' Vlob says.

'Heh...' Moonkiller says satisfied and crosses her arms. 'You are not as bad as I thought.'

'Is that supposed to be an compliment, lord of Nightmares?'

'That depends on how you personally look at it.'

That evening Chloe gets terrible news. She cries and cries and her friends hug her tightly, trying to comfort her, but it doesn't work.

'We are here for you...' Kelsey says, and the concern is noticeable in her voice.

'I... I can't believe it!' Chloe cries out. 'A-aft... er every... everything t-th... that h-has happened...'

'Come here.' The girls pull Chloe closer to themselfs.

After a long time Chloe pulls herself loose. 'I... I w-want... to say... g-goodbye... Before it... already h-happened...'

The girls nod and they decide to go with Chloe. They all feel upset. They got the news that Rascal is close to dying from weakness and that the chance of surviving is very low.

He used the last bit of his energy to try to warn Chloe for the awaiting danger, but he had not enough.

The girls then all stay around the bed and look at Rascal. He doesn't look good at all.

'I can't believe this...' Chloe whimpers.

'Same here...' Emily says.

They all look down at the ground, until Kelsey notices something.

'Hey, what's this?' she picks up a purple ball. 'It seems so familiar...'

'Yeah...' April says. 'But where have we seen it before?'

'I... I think I regonize it...' Lily says.

'It's from that moment when Rascal first defeated us...' Emily says.

'Negative energy!' Chloe says immediantly as she takes a look at it. 'It's a ball filled with negative energy.' She remembers that he had some when he was on the bad side (Chapter 5 - Gone).

'But why is it laying on the ground?' Kelsey asks.

'I think I know,' Chloe says. 'When I found him the first time, only negative energy could help him regain strength (Chapter 2 - Negative Energy). Maybe he tried to heal himself!'

'Do you think it would help?' April asks.

'There's only one way to find out!' Chloe takes the ball and gives Rascal the negative energy. It glows around him and then he opens his eyes and immediantly sits up.

'Breeze!' he says and looks at her.

'Rascal! YOU'RE ALIVE!' Chloe yells.

Then she does something that shocks everyone, including herself.

She shoots forwards to Rascal and she presses her lips against his mouth and then opens hers slightly. Rascal's eyes get big from surprise and he deeply blushes. But then he closes his eyes, wraps his arms around her, opens his mouth and returns the French kiss.
