Hello guys! I finally managed to finish another chapter!
I'll be going on a vacation this upcoming Wednesday, and after getting back home, I'll have another week off from work, so I hope to get more chapters done during that time!
On a side note, I just found out there is a café/restaurant called Olli's near my working place. I was so shocked! I can't believe I didn't notice it earlier as it's been two years since I've been working here!
Anyway, enjoy the chapter!

VICTOR's POV
Today wasn't a good day. I was supposed to go shopping with Alison, and that in itself was a torture. But the main reason I was in such a bad mood was the promise I gave her the day before.
We were discussing our supposed wedding, and how much we hated our fathers for rushing us, when she changed the subject and forced me to talk about Oliver. I didn't really want to talk about it as my mind was still too messy for me to actually make sense, but Alison was Alison. There was no way to run away from her when she wanted to talk about something. If I really hated something, I could, of course, just leave and ignore her, but I considered her my close friend, so I didn't do that often.
"So, what are you gonna do about the fact you have a kid? I mean, it's not every day you find out you are a father. What's your plan?" she suddenly started, her face all serious for a change.
I was quiet for a while. I really didn't know what to answer as I didn't have enough time to think it through, but there was one thing I was one hundred percent sure about. I wanted to meet the little guy. I wanted to meet him and spent time with him on regular basis. I couldn't really tell I loved him yet, I just found out he existed for Christ's sake. But I sure as hell wasn't going to pretend I didn't know. Having a child was a big deal, and I wanted to be part of his life. Knowing there was a boy with my blood running through his veins wasn't something anyone could ignore.
"I don't know. All I know is I want to be in his life. I want to get to know him. I have a right to know my own child, right?" I grumbled, not really sure about anything anymore. Voicing my thoughts was making everything even more real, and it was making me sick.
Alison was looking at me without saying anything, taking her sweet time to respond. The words that left her lips seconds later made me reconsider my intention to share my feelings with her. I should had fled the moment her expression turned serious.
"Why don't you talk to him about it? From what I gathered, you didn't really talk about it that much the last time. You know where he works. What are you waiting for?" she asked, taking a sip of her coffee.
Just the imagination of talking to Oliver again so soon made me feel all kinds of negative feelings. I wasn't ready. Seeing him would probably make everything worse.
"You know what, don't answer that. Let's make a deal. I'll stop butting in and asking you about it if you go and see him one of these days. Whether you think it's necessary or not, you need to talk it out. Prolonging this uncomfortable silence between you two will result in more awkwardness and hurt feelings."

And that was what led to my bad mood today. We were currently walking down the aisle in a shop with shoes, Alison excited to get a new pair or two. It was decided I would be going to see Oliver after we finished, and just the imagination of it made me scowl. There was no way the confrontation would go smoothly. He would get defensive the moment he saw me, and I was definitely going to get pissed off for one reason or another.
"Are you done yet?" I called out, irritation slowly making its way into my voice. If anything, I needed to relax before going there. Meeting him already in a bad mood wasn't really a good idea.
"Oh, come on! We just got here." She turned around, eyeing me with her "are you serious" eyes, as if I was stupid or something.
I sighed, shaking my head. This was definitely hopeless. I was doomed for another hour or two, stuck in a shopping mall with one crazy woman.
A sudden snapping sound woke me up from my momentary inattention, Alison grinning while holding her phone.
"Sending this to Nels." She laughed, her fingers moving quickly as she kept on typing. The mention of my best friend's name took my mind a day back, deep lines appearing on my forehead under the pressure of the frown I couldn't surpass. Just hearing his name made my eyes twitch.
Friday morning
My head hurt. That was all I could think about as I came around in the morning. I had no idea how I ended up in a bed, but I was grateful for it. Waking up in a bar or in some kind of alleyway, dirty all over, wouldn't be appreciated at all.
Slowly getting up, I groaned when a sharp pain shot up my back. As if my head killing me wasn't enough. How I was going to get to work and actually do something was something I would have to think about later on. Now, all I wanted was a hot shower and coffee. Cursing under my breath as I was trying to get up, I caught myself from yelling when something moved right next me. Looking to the left, my eyes widened in horror. There was a person softly breathing, tucked under the blanket so tightly only a head of light brown hair was visible.
I broke out in cold sweat.
Going back to the previous night, the last thing I could remember was me ranting to Nels about not having enough time to myself. I was so out of it I wouldn't recognize black from white. I looked back to the person next to me, painfully aware of my aching back and the fact this wasn't my hotel room.
"This can't be happening," I mumbled, feeling all blood drain from my face. Thinking about the situation I was in at the moment, there was a clear answer to my questions, but I just couldn't believe it. I was a top. I would never let anyone fuck me, not even if I was dead drunk. This was wrong on so many levels I didn't know what to do with myself or the person next to me.
I kept on sitting in the bed, staring at the wall in front of me, my mind blank. It was then I decided to never drink again. If there was anything obvious at the moment, it was the fact alcohol wasn't going to help me anymore. Not after the catastrophe lying next to me.
Just as I was contemplating whether to run away or wait to find out who it was next to me, the person moved.

Turning around, I almost gasped.
Familiar grey eyes stared at me with curiosity written all over his face, and my jaw fell down. I was sure my already pale face was as white as fresh snow now. Complete silence filled the room for a while, neither of us moving an inch for next few seconds.
My mind was a mess. I couldn't believe my best friend was lying in the same bed as me, possibly being the reason for my hurting back. How drunk could I be to let him actually touch me in that way? How drunk was he? Hundreds of questions were running through my mind when I saw Nels move suddenly. His arm stretched for something next to him, going back to reveal a phone. I was frozen at the spot, not knowing what to do or how to react, so when he unlocked it and took a picture of me, I was even more confused.
His face scrunched up in a sudden burst of laugher, tears prickling his eyes.
"This is priceless," he said between laughing and gasping for breath, shaking so much I could feel the whole bed doing the same.
"You should've seen your face!" He sat up, hand on his chest, calming down a bit.
"What the hell is going on here, Nelson?" I growled, hating the fact I didn't have the situation under control. My head was starting to pound really badly, which was never a good sign.
He shook his head, standing up and revealing his half naked form.
I never really understood how he could sleep in pajama pants, it always felt extremely restrictive to me. But seeing him wearing it right now got my hopes up. If we would sleep together, he wouldn't be wearing it, right?
"You have to see it!" He turned to me, his face red from all the laughing. Sticking his phone right in front of my eyes, it took me a while to focus on the picture that was there.
The moment I saw it, I went for his phone so I could throw it out the window. Unfortunately, he was much faster and dodged it, stepping few steps away from me.
"Oh, come on! You have to love it! Waking up to you looking this way is just too good. I've never even imagined you could make this kind of face. It's hilarious." He started to laugh again, walking towards the door that was behind him.
"Alison will piss herself," he mumbled under his breath, his back shaking.
"What did you just say?" I asked, getting on my legs but stopping right after from the pain.
"Shit!" I yelled, leaning against the wall next to me.
"Nelson, why is there pain radiating from my ass?! And be careful about what you say, or I'm seriously going to kill you, best friend or not," growling, I glared at his disappearing form.
He stopped, turning abruptly, looking dumbfounded as never.
"You," he stuttered, cheeks turning a bit rosy.
"What the hell are you thinking about, you fucker? As if! There's no way we would actually-" he stuttered again, turning away and continuing through the door.
"You fucking drunk too much, as usual, and fell off the barstool, right on your ass. You were so wasted you weren't able to stand on your own, so I had to carry you all the way back here. And as my room was closer, I just threw you in my bed. You are heavy, you pig!" he yelled from what seemed as a bathroom, a soft sound of water running audible in the room.
"How could you actually-" he paused, his head popping out from behind the door.
"Not everyone around you is gay, you know?" Shaking his head with expression that screamed unimpressed from miles away, he went back and closed the door.
Back to present
I had no idea who got the idea first, but since Nels sent the picture to Alison, they started this contest of getting the best picture of my normally expressionless or angry face. It was starting to seriously get on my nerves, but it seemed like they didn't care at all and continued their little game.
"Can you just stop with this bullshit? I seriously don't understand how this is fun." Looking at her with raised eyebrows, I sighed when she chuckled and turned away, continuing her search for shoes.
It took almost four hours for us to finally leave this hellhole. We went through several different shops, Alison trying on dozens of clothes and shoes in each of them. She even forced me to buy a new suit and some casual clothes, which wasn't making me happy at all. If this was going to be my life after we got married, I would probably commit suicide the day after the ceremony.
"Oh, come on, Vic. It wasn't so bad. You should thank me for helping you choose new clothes! From what I've seen, your taste is absolutely horrible. I bet you usually have Nels helping you, because your wardrobe looks absolutely different compared to things you were eyeing today. How can a successful man like yourself have such a bad fashion style? Goddess." She sighed, taking a bite of her sandwich.
We were currently sitting in a restaurant near the shopping mall, having a late lunch. I couldn't describe how hungry I was when we arrived here, but having two main dishes consisting of beef, baked potatoes and some salad spoke for itself.
"Shut up. The most important thing for me is to understand the business. I can always ask the shop assistants to choose for me. But you're right. It's usually Nelson who helps me. It was Oliver in the past." Munching on a chocolate cake I got as a dessert, I regretted saying his name out loud the moment Alison's face turned serious, again.
"You didn't forget about your plans today, did you?" Her voice was void of any humor, and I felt a sudden urge to go shopping again. Everything seemed as a good idea compared to seeing Oliver so soon.
"Yeah, yeah. I remember, don't worry your big head about it," I grumbled, earning a glare from her.
"I hope I don't need to remind you to act mature, right? Acting like a kid and yelling for no good reason won't get you anywhere. And please, don't even dare to threaten him with lawyers and trials. That won't help your case, and even if you really did such a shitty move, not even the best lawyer out there would win you such a case. You would get a shared custody, at the best, and that's not a good idea considering the kid probably doesn't know anything about you. You would be a total stranger to him." Her eyes kept on staring at me, and I couldn't disagree with anything she said.
She was absolutely right. But even though I agreed with her every word, I knew, deep down, that one wrong word from Ollie would ruin all my chances on keeping my cool. And he would definitely say something to make me angry, so I knew right here and now that I would do something stupid. Something I would probably regret later on.
"Easier said than done," I mumbled, stuffing my mouth with more cake. I wanted this conversation to be over, and I hoped she would let it go as well. I needed to think about something different, like birds or sea.
Looking at me for few seconds without saying anything, she leaned against her chair and smiled her typical sweet smile she put on her face whenever she was about to act like a huge bitch.
"I'm going with you, honey."

Was the whole situation with Vic and Nelson what you expected?
Do you think Nels has hots for his best friend, or is it just my plan to confuse you?
