I laid on the bed waiting for Cara to come into the room to start the scan. My back hurting a little while the pups moved around and kicking almost like they were in a football match. Every so often a softer kick happened making me think that sometimes the twins would soften their kicks but something in my mind told me it was something else.
"Sorry about that." Cara walked into the room and sitting on the chair next to me while Alaric and Karter was the other side of me. "Some of the new pack doctors needed a bit of help."
"No worries. There's nothing major going on with us so it's okay." I smiled at her.
"Right, so are we finding the genders or waiting for a surprise?" She asked.
"Waiting for a surprise." I replied while Karter and Alaric said, "Finding out the genders."
"I thought we agreed to wait?" I frowned. "That the scans were only checkups."
"I don't think I can wait doll." Karter sighed. "I just want to know what we're having."
"I want to be able to buy individual things for the pups so they have something for them, not just gender neutral things." Alaric said. "Wow, that sounded very old fashioned."
"Well you are an old man." I giggled.
"How about we know, and keep you away from the nursery until the pups are here. And you get gender neutral things so you still pick out things for the pups." Alaric suggested.
"But, I thought we could all wait together. Be a surprise for all of us to experience at the same time." I sighed. "No it's fine, we'll know the genders please Cara." I gave her a small smile.
"I'll write it on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope. So if you want to do a gender reveal or want to know later on in the pregnancy you can read it. How does that sound?" She asked.
"Okay. Thank you." I nodded. Cara put some ultrasound gel on my belly and used to rod to move around my bump.

"So far there is still only two babies in sight so I don't think you should be expecting a third. I just need to take some measurements to see what both genders are so I can write it down. Other than that, we'll be done in a few minutes." Cara explained as we all looked at the screen.
"As you can see on the screen there's baby A and baby B. Baby A is just that bit bigger than baby B but there is nothing to worry about at all. It's very common in multiple births that one baby is smaller than the other. Apart from that, everything you're doing keep doing it until they decide to come out. And keep doing regular walks, it'll help a lot." She added.
"Okay, thank you." I smiled and nodded. Cara turned off the screen so she could do what she needed to do before turning around and hiding the paper she was writing on.
"So here's the genders. Don't look if you don't want to, but I'm sure you'll be happy with any you get. I think you're all set now until next month where we'll see how far babies are down. I know with vampires pregnancies vary since Karter came earlier than you, but the pups will come when they're ready." Cara said.
"Thank you Cara, we really appreciate it." Karter smiled at her.
"What are sisters for, huh?" She laughed.
"Aunties." I pouted.
"And that." She smiled wider.
"You're family is weird. You have to explain it to me again." Alaric chuckled.
"Very long story." Cara shrugged and walked out of the room. I stood up pulling my, Alarics, T-shirt down so we could leave. I grabbed the envelope so I could hide it when we get home.
"Let me read that." Karter went to take the paper from my hand.
"No." I growled holding it to my chest. "We agreed to wait until the pups are here. I want it to be a surprise."
"Please." He pouted and gave me puppy eyes.
"No." I frowned and walked...waddled off to grandpas house so I could apologise for my sudden leave yesterday.

When I got there I entered the house seeing my grandfathers all sat on the long sofa cuddling up to each other. "Grandpa." I frowned and went up to him.
"What happened darling." He asked sitting up.
"Tell Karter no."
"No Karter." Grandpa Arlo looked at his son without asking what I was telling him for.
"Dad, you can't be serious right now. She won't let me know the genders of our pups." He sighed.
"We agreed to wait." I glared at my mate. "Please hide it." I passed the envelope to grandpa Arlo.
"Does that mean we can read it?" Grandpa Elias asked teaching for the envelope.
"No." I whined taking it back. "Can I hide it here please?"
"Of course darling. I'll keep the boys here." Grandpa Arlo smiled at me letting me walk upstairs to hide the genders of my pups. I wanted to know as well, but I thought it would be a nice surprise that all three of us could have together as mates, instead of knowing beforehand.
Once it was hidden, I went back to the living room and sitting between grandpa Arlo and Toto. "Can I feel?" Toto asked gesturing to my bump.
"Course Toto. They move a lot but kick most when Alaric and Karter touch my belly. Hopefully you can feel something. No one but Karter and Alaric and dada have felt them kick." I told him.
"I'll get them to kick. I managed with Karter so your grandpas could feel it." He smiled at me before placing his large hand on my bump.
"Are you sure there's only two?" Toto asked after a couple silent moments.
"Cara confirmed it today since she could only see two." Alaric replied.
"Why'd you ask dad?" Karter spoke up.
"Because your mate is much larger than your dad was when pregnant with Theo and Cara. Maybe because they are half breeds they're bigger whereas the twins are just wolf." He answered.
"Cara said don't expect a third pup because she can only see two. I don't think there is a third one though. It would've shown by now." I shrugged.
"Maybe it's bigger siblings are keeping it hidden." Grandpa kolby laughed. "You never know."
"I don't think so. Only two heartbeats come up on the ultrasound and we can only hear two, so it's very unlikely there's a triplet in there. Them pups are just fattys like their fathers." Alaric chuckled.
"Can say that again." I giggled. "Them two could eat the whole pack buffet if they wanted to."
"Same with your Toto. Tubby fucker." Grandpa Arlo smiled.
We all laughed but stayed silent after that. It was only a few minutes later did one of the pups kick. "Feel that?" I look up at Toto.
"No. Where?" He asked. I held his hand and moved it a little bit further up my belly where the pup last kicked. Again not taking long for it to kick on his hand.
"That's a feeling I will always miss." Toto smiled.
"They never sit still. I struggle to sleep a lot because they don't stop moving around." I told them.
"Try sleeping with one leg over Alaric or Karter. Or because them two mountains are too big, use a pillow. It worked when Theo and Cara didn't stop moving when I was pregnant with them." Grandpa Arlo told me.
"No one else can tell you what to expect other than him because he's the only one that's been pregnant with twins before." Grandpa Elias said.
"I know. I'll try it tonight. What if it doesn't work?" I looked at grandpa Arlo.
"I'm not sure sweetheart. We'll find some stuff out and pass it on. Don't worry, we'll find something out for you." He reassured me.
"I'm sorry for leaving yesterday. I got scared." I muttered.
"It's okay baby. You'll be okay, I know it." He hugged me to him. "Everyone needs time to heal."

Fated Nirvana || Completed ✅
The Fated Series. Book #1. "A single minute without her in my arms and it felt like a lifetime." - Mateo Ramos My name is Mateo Adam Ramos. I was born into a family who's bleed for their reputation, and built us into being one of the most dangerous families to exist. You hear my name... you run. I for one am determined to continue upholding that reputation because that's in my blood. But things are never that simple, are they? Feeling and emotions got involved, and everything I thought I knew, vanished the second I met her. A soft souled, beautiful brown eyed girl who gleams with goodness found her way into my life. I shouldn't have played the good samaritan, that was my fault. I don't want to know goodness, and yet I'm drawn in like it's the light to cure my sins. This goodness has a name, and a face of salvation and I for one know I shouldn't get involved. Guess what I do? I get involved. Because even if I don't want too that's not really how fate works, is it? You don't pick and choose fates plan, you get slammed with it and good luck to your poor soul. This is my story, the kind that was written years before I was even born, and now I'm living it. Watch me make a mess of it too, because after all, I wasn't born to follow. P.S. This book is technically #1, but I have a book before this one that's about their parents. You learn more, and get a clue about their parents and why they are the way they are. Some of the conversations in this book would make more sense by knowing the past. It's not as well written, but if you can get thought it, I promise you'll love this one even more. Of course if you rather start here, then you do you! It will make sense either way! I tired to fill in all the gaps without it getting overbearing. You can always hop back to the book before this after.
