"Yeah we're fine. Just spending a couple nights with Katie and Jerry before Nova has to go back to school." Karter said into the phone. He had to borrow mine after leaving his at his pack to get our mate.

"Dad we'll be fine. We're on human territory, nothing will happen I promise. Tell Ryan and Eli she'll be safe in the pack tomorrow we just need one more night." He added.

After a couple more words, Karter hung up and gave me back my phone. Once again laying down the other side of our sleeping mate. She had been out all afternoon and night, it's now morning so hopefully she'll be awake soon. From what Karters told me, Nova can sleep so with the heat it probably made her more tired so she slept for longer.

"My dad wants us home tomorrow." Karter whispered running his hand up and down Novas cheek.

"I don't want you to leave me. None of you." I muttered cuddling into Nova more. After getting the scent of Karter, both me and my vampire has become attached to both of them. The little wolf sleeping next to me and the mixed species.

"My head is telling me to get Nova away and safe with the pack but my heart is telling me to stay." He sighed. We both cuddled up to Nova but made sure we were feeling each other as well.

"Can I come with you?" I questioned not looking at him so I wouldn't get disappointed more than I felt.

"I guess. You could stay with me in my house, my brother is the alpha of the pack so maybe he could let you in. Become a pack member." Karter put his hand under my chin to make me look ag him. "Come with us."

I nodded and he leaned over Nova carefully kissing me. A soft, slow kiss. Before anything could get out of hand, we both pulled away, me pulling Karters bottom lip between my teeth. A small groan came from him making me smirk and let go of his lip.

"We kiss." I heard a small voice. I looked down to see Nova smiling up at me and Karter.

"Who do you want to kiss doll?" Karter asked her.

"Mate." She looked at me. I leaned down and took her lips. Just like karters, hers were soft as well, only more plump and a little more softer.

When I pulled away I saw Karter looking at us. "We have to go home tomorrow doll. We can stay with Alaric today and tonight but then we have to go."

"I no wanna leave him." Nova whimpered, her bottom lip wobbling making me awe at her. But what got me by surprise is the way she spoke. Like a child.

"We're not gonna leave him baby. He's going to come live with me at my house." He told her.

"A-and uncle Theo make him stay. No leaving." She sniffled.

"No baby, no leaving." I smiled softly at her. "I love you and Karter already."

"We love you more." She giggled.

"Novas saying a film thing. We sat we love her, she says I love you more and we reply with I love you most." Karter told me.

"I love you most." I chuckled. Taking me by surprise, Nova sat up and crawled into my lap where she straddled me. My hands went to her hips to keep her steady incase she were to fall.

"No." Nova pouted cutely.

"Yep." I smiled pecking her lips making her pout turn to a smile.

The whole day we got to know each other. I know both Nova and Karters likes and dislikes, their favourite foods, where they like to run when in wolf form, what they do for fun, everything about them. And I told them about myself.

I'm twenty years old, well, my looks are. I was born in 1777 and stopped ageing at twenty. My favourite thing to do is hunt and draw. I was pressured into showing Karter and Nova my stuff, some dating back decades or centuries. Both were amazed and wanted me to draw them. I agreed but wanted it to be when they least expected it.

At night Karter and I stayed awake. Both being vampires we don't get tired easily so stayed in the living room while Nova slept in the bedroom. I had my feet on Karters lap and a book in my hands. Like drawing, I like to read when I can't sleep. It passes the time and I enjoy it. What made it better was knowing I had my beloveds close to me. One a room away and the other right next to me.

"How are you feeling about tomorrow?" Karter broke the silence, pulling me away from my book as I looked at him.

"Nervous. Usually I'm this cocky guy with bad attitude but as soon as I set my eyes on Nova i knew I had to change. Then you came along and I knew I had to buck up my ideas because this hunk of a man will put me in my place." I chuckled.

"I guess vampires just have bad attitude. My dads like it, my aunt and uncle to. And I'm like it as well, a bad attitude know it all who only wants what's best for those I love." He sighed a little.

"Yeah. My parents were like that, same with my sister." I smiled at the memory of them.

"What happened to them?" He asked.

"They died a few decades back. My parents killed for betraying our clan and my sister trusted the wrong man. He killed her in a rage leaving me alone. My clan exiled me and my sister before she was murdered." I told him.

"I'm sorry." Karter whispered taking my hand in his, pulling me to straddle his lap.

"You don't have to say anything like that. I'm past it. My parents were horrible people anyway and my sister trusted too easily. I told her not to see that man but she insisted. I bet she wished she never did." I sighed laying my cheek on his shoulder.

"No family is sunshine and rainbows is it?"

"Yours seems like it's perfect." I huffed with a small chuckle.

"Nope. It's very confusing and weird. I have four dads, two biological, two half siblings, Theo and Cara from my dad Arlo, my step dads Elias and Kolby are their dad. Ryan is my step brother from Kolby and a woman called Claire, Eli from my other step brother from my other dad Elias and a woman called Sofia, they had two boys, Eli and Thomas. Xander is a baby from Elias and Kolby. Years later my dad Arlo and my other dad Tommy had me. Ryan and Eli are mates, Nova is their daughter, Cara has her mate Rick with their son Wyatt, Theo has his daughter Mika, he sadly lost his mate before I was born. On my birthday I shouted at Nova, got beaten by Ryan, got shouted at by Elias, got threatened by Eli. So no, my family is not all sunshine and rainbows." He explained.

"It does sound confusing." I laughed. "Why did you shout at Nova?" I looked at him.

"I had found out she's my mate. Knowing what I am I didn't want her to know because I don't want to hurt her. On her birthday she found out and wanted me to stay, so I did. That was the first time I had touched Nova like that, in a sexual way."

"Oh. Please don't do it again. I don't want an upset beloved or a beaten one. I don't think Smith would like that very much." I grinned.

"I promised myself I'd never do that to Nova again. And now we have you, I promise to never do it to you either." Karter gave me a small smile.

With that, I laid my head back on his shoulder and carried on reading with the amazing sensation of my mate running his fingers up and down my back.
