Nova and I laid on her bed, her cheek squished against my chest making her already chubby cheeks look even chubbier. A smile made its way on to my face while I looked over my beautiful mates face.

"What are you looking at me like that for?" Nova looked up at me with a smile of her own.

"What? Can I not look at my beautiful mate? I'm hurt doll. I just cant stop myself, you're just too beautiful." I chuckled lightly.

"I never said you couldn't." She giggled. "Karter?"

"Yes doll?"

"We make cake?" She asked.

"Only if you want to and if its okay with your fathers. I know how good of a baker you are." I smirked. "Your cooking is better than kissing you."

"Nah uh." Nova shook her head.

"Really?" I smiled. "Then prove it."

Nova smiled and leaned towards me after sitting up. Her leg slipped over my waist so she was straddling me. With that, she leaned in more, her lips hovering just over mine. Before she could do anything else, I crashed my lips into hers. Our lips moved in sync. The feeling of her lips on mine was out of this world, the softness just took my breath away every time I kissed her. In just one night, this girl is making me feel so much more loved than before. With the small kisses, little comments, she's just something else.

Just as I was about to pull away so Nova could breath, she deepened the kiss moving her hips up towards mine brushing over my jean covered member. A small moan came from her lips making me grow hard as she kept moving her hips on mine. What was the hardest part was holding back to not flip us over and grind into her, to strip her of her clothes and make love to her like I've wanted to do for years.

"Nova you have to stop before I do something you're far from ready for." I whispered to her as she panted.

"W-what if I want you to do something I'm not ready for?" She asked.

"Trust me doll, you really don't want that." I told her.

"Okay." She whispered. "We make cakes now?"

"Of course baby. I'll meet you down there, make sure to ask your parents first." I said making her nod and jump off me to run downstairs.

"Slow down doll." I called after her. She shouted out a 'sorry' with her foot steps coming to a walk from a run.

A sigh came from my lips as I sat at the edge of her bed with my head in my hands. I rubbed my face, another sigh coming from my lips making someone laugh. My head shot up to see Kobe stood by the bedroom door.

"She's a handful that's for sure." He chuckled.

'Damn straight but that's what i love about her. She's just the best." I shrugged with a small smile.

"One of a kind that sister of mine is. I know you agree more than anyone. Nova is a sweet kid, but she has some moments where she's not the Nova we know. Do you know what i mean?" He asked.

"Yeah. When I shouted at her on my birthday she seemed, grownup." I sighed. 'Not the Nova we all know and love. It wasn't bad but it doesn't seem good either. I'll love nova no matter what, but it was weird."

"I was thinking its her wolf making an appearance."

"What do you mean? If it was her wolf her eyes would change like everyone else." I frowned.

"Well yes, but that's not what I'm sure about. I asked our oldest pack doctor and they said they've never seen anything like it either. But when she's most adult like, its because her wolf has taken over." He stated.

"Do you think that's why she kissed me? I know nova would never do anything like that, so do think that was her wolf?" I asked.

"Maybe Kyra knew, you know wolves have a hunch and are never wrong." He shrugged.

"Kyra?" I frowned. "That's her wolfs name?"

"Yeah, did she never tell you?" Kobe matched my frown.

"No, it never came up with her. She knows Rogue and Isaiah, yet she never told me her wolfs name." I sighed. With that, i got up and went downstairs where i saw nova getting ingredients out to bake.

"We cook now?" Nova asked. I nodded with a smile and sat down. I cant bake for shit so Nova usually does it all while I cook meals not cakes or cookies.

"Be careful doll. I don't want you getting hurt." I told her. She nodded with a smile on her lips and carried on taking the measurements of each ingredient.

"Karter put it in?" Nova looked up at me. I nodded and kissed her head before taking the tray filled with cookies on it, and putting it into the pre-heated oven.

"Done." I smiled at her.

"What we do now?" She frowned.

"How about we watch Rapunzel?" I suggested. Nova nodded eagerly and ran into the living room where she bundled herself up in the many blankets Ryan, Eli and i have gotten her over the years. The good thing about blankets is that Nova falls asleep bundled in them, so if she goes to sleep and Ryan and Eli come home, I can ask them about nova and her wolf.

Like always, nova cuddled into my side where i put my arm around her using my free hand to put on the film. Just as i knew, Nova was passed out within the first ten minutes, with also me radiating my heat knowing it helps her sleep.

A timer sounded letting me know the cookies were done. After taking them out, i left them to cool and went back to my mates side. Not long after i sat down, Ryan, Eli and Arlo walked through the door. All smiled at my mate making me smile down at her.

"I have to ask something." I said when Eli sat down after taking nova to her room.

"Ask away." Ryan replied.

"Novas a runt, so she has tendencies of a child, but there have been times when she's... older. Her mindset is older than normal. Kobe said it might be her wolf, but her eyes don't turn black like everyone else's." i told them.

"It's a runt thing." Dad said.

"Really?" Ryan and Eli asked shocked.

"Yes." He chuckled. "Where she's a runt and underdeveloped, her wolf and body isn't linked to one in some ways. Like, I sometimes cant connect with Milo. And my eyes don't go black when hes in control."

"But milo's never in control, at least I don't think." Ryans eyebrows furrowed.

"That's what you think. Milo has spoken to all of you. Especially Karter when he was little, and when hes upset."

"How can we tell when hes in control?" Eli asked.

"Only your fathers know that. I have to go, but i'll see you all soon." Dad kissed our heads before leaving.

"So what happened to make you ask?" Ryan looked at me.

"Sometimes she seems older, more mature and strong in the way she speaks. I don't know, I'll figure it out, but Nova isn't Nova sometimes. Like she sometimes, kisses me. Goddess this is weird." I mumbled.

"No it's fine. Tell us." Eli urged. It's a damn good thing this family is comfortable about all this.

"When we kiss, sometimes she deepens it and you know, makes me hard. It, it just doesn't, it didn't make any sense until Kobe told me he thinks its her wolf taking over." I explained.

"There has to be signs for this. Surely its not just her mindset changing. That's almost never." Ryan shrugged.

"It's a lot when she's with me." I sighed. "I'll let you know when I have more stuff to tell you."

They both nodded before i got up and went to my mates room. As i opened the door, Nova looked up at me sleepily, her hair sprouting all over the place with her eyes squinting showing she had just woke up.

"Hey doll." I smiled and sat next to her on the bed.

"Hi." She whispered.
