Chapter 98: He Has a New Prey

Jin Yiming nodded, but the haze in his eyes didn't disperse.

As they spoke, they walked deeper into the district.

A taxi stopped at the entrance of the district. Chi Jiao alighted and looked into the neighborhood. She spotted Jin Yiming and Bai Weiyu's backs as they left.

They held hands and looked just like a young couple.

Chi Jiao's eyes darkened as she walked into the area.

Jin Yiming lived in Room 101, Unit 5, which was on the first floor.

When they reached the entrance, Jin Yiming opened the door to his house. After letting Bai Weiyu in, he pretended to look behind him casually. After confirming that there was no one else, he dashed into the house and closed the door.

This wasn't Bai Weiyu's first time at his place. There were no outsiders here, either. She took off her coat and hung it on the coat hanger before walking to the sofa and sitting down.

"It's very cold outside. Why don't I get you a cup of hot tea to keep you warm?" Jin Yiming asked her gently.

Bai Weiyu smiled and nodded.

Jin Yiming walked to the kitchen and poured hot water into a disposable cup. He then took out a white pill from his pocket and threw it into the paper cup.

The white pill was colorless and odorless. It quickly melted into the water, leaving no traces of abnormality.

Jin Yiming carried the paper cup and walked out of the kitchen with a smile. He handed the cup to her and said, "It's a little hot. You can warm your hands with it first."

"Thank you." Being stared at by Jin Yiming with gentle and focused eyes, Bai Weiyu felt as if a little bunny was stuffed into her heart.

Jin Yiming sat opposite Bai Weiyu and watched her finish the drink little by little. The excited glint in his eyes was about to overflow.

Bai Weiyu put down the paper cup and looked up at Jin Yiming. Just as she was about to say something, she suddenly felt dizzy, as if the world was spinning. Her vision was also a little blurry, and she could no longer see the person opposite her clearly.

"Teacher Jin, I suddenly feel really dizzy" Bai Weiyu's voice trembled.

Jin Yiming got up and walked to her side. He hugged her in his arms as if she was his lover. "Weiwei, do you remember what I told you before? You're sick and need medical treatment."

"I'm sick?" Bai Weiyu's eyes were filled with confusion. It felt as if she was floating in the clouds, and her body was light and weightless. She could only lean into Jin Yimings arms and mutter, "I'm sick. I need to be treated."

The way Jin Yiming looked at her was no longer as gentle and loving as before. Instead, it was filled with disdain.

He already had a new prey.

In that case, he would have to clear away any obstacles.

Before clearing this stumbling block, he had to play one last time.

Bai Weiyu's vision was so blurry that everything she saw was a double image. Therefore, she couldn't see the expression on Jin Yiming's face clearly. The dizziness made her feel so uncomfortable that she was about to cry.

"Teacher Jin, hurry up and send me to the hospital. I feel awful."

"Alright, I'll send you to the hospital now." Jin Yiming picked her up and walked towards the bedroom.

The sound of the bedroom door locking was heard clearly.

The phone in Bai Weiyu's bag on the sofa suddenly vibrated vigorously.

The caller ID showed Chi Jiaos name.

The phone vibrated for about a minute before falling silent.

Chi Jiao stood in front of Unit 5 with her phone in her hand. She looked up at the building in front of her.
