Chapter 80: He Really Never Thought That He Would Be Listening to a Little Girl One Day

Quan Jue turned to look.

Chi Jiao stood on the mat by the bathroom door barefooted. She was only wrapped in a white towel, and her damp hair was draped messily over her shoulders. She was looking at him with her innocent doe eyes in a daze.

He could see her glowing white skin, exquisite collarbone, and her fair and slender legs.

Quan Jue gulped as the images that he had painstakingly chased away earlier started to wreak havoc in his mind again. Quan Jue quickly turned his back on her and refused to look at her.

"What?" His voice was a little hoarse.

"Brother Quan, I suddenly remembered that I don't have any pajamas to change into," the young lady said in a soft tone.

Quan Jue didn't speak. Instead, he strode toward his room.

Less than a minute later, he walked out of the room and passed the pajamas he was holding to Chi Jiao, but his gaze didn't land on her. "Wear mine first. These are clean."

Chi Jiao nodded obediently. After taking the pajamas, she returned to the bathroom and closed the door.

Quan Jue glanced at the closed bathroom door and felt a little frustrated.

He hurriedly walked to the kitchen and took out a bottle of cold mineral water from the fridge. After unscrewing it, he poured it into his mouth.

The ice-cold water flowed down his throat and into his esophagus. It seemed to have instantly filled his body with coldness, finally calming him down.

Hearing noises in the living room, Quan Jue walked out of the kitchen and saw Chi Jiao squatting on the floor with her damp hair loose. In front of her was a black kitten.

The black kitten looked to be about three months old. It was chubby and round like a little dust ball.

It lay on the ground on its back, letting the girl squatting in front of it caress its stomach.

Quan Jue's gaze landed on Chi Jiao. His pajamas looked especially big on her body. The sleeves were rolled up, revealing her hands. It was clearly a top, but on her, it became a skirt that coincidentally reached her thighs.

Fortunately, the house had a heater. Even though it was snowing heavily outside, the temperature in the house remained above 20 degrees Celsius. Chi Jiao wouldn't freeze even if she was only wearing a thin set of pajamas.

Chi Jiao's attention had been completely focused on the little black kitten, so she didn't notice Quan Jue standing opposite and staring at her.

She really didn't expect Quan Jue to have a kitten here.

He was such a cold person. He didn't look like someone who would like small animals.

This kitten had a good temper as well, unlike Quan Jue's cold personality.

"Is it fun?" It was only when a deep voice was heard from above her head that Chi Jiao looked up at him and nodded with a smile.

When the little black kitten saw Quan Jue, it got up from the ground and walked to his side, using its head to intimately nuzzle his feet.

"Blow your hair dry," Quan Jue said indifferently when he saw that her hair was still wet.

"Brother Quan, come and blow my hair for me." Chi Jiao stood up and walked straight to the sofa.

Quan Jue stood rooted to the ground for a few seconds before taking out the hairdryer.

If it was in the past, he really never thought that he would be listening to a little girl one day.

Chi Jiao carried the little black kitten in her arms while Quan Jue stood in front of her and helped her blow dry her hair.

The hairdryer made a little too much noise. Therefore, neither of them spoke.

But Chi Jiao felt that tonight was the happiest she had felt in months.

The girl's hair was long and dense, and it felt soft in his hands. It was black and shiny like satin.

Quan Jue's actions were very gentle. From the beginning to the end, he didn't hurt her at all.
