《The Hidden Heir (VegasPete)》Chapter Eleven

"Who are you young man?" The woman asks in a sweet yet alarm voice.
She squint her eyes as she tries to figure it out about the young man who just climed through these walls and now is peaking in the room.
Vegas stood still, thinking on how he should introduce himself. When he finally felt that there is no more sign of someone's arrival, he went near so that he will be recognized.
"I am with your son." That was the safest answer he has at this moment.
When Pam covered her mouth in shock, eyes are widened as Vegas can clearly see how fear succumbed on her; he is convinced that the woman still remembers Pete.
"No." Pam talked almost inaudible. Vegas saw her walks back and forth and he knows that kind of expression. "No...this can't be."
"Pete is looking for you." Vegas informed her calmly. "He wanted to see you."
As a person who didn't grew up with parent's affection, Vegas is still confuse on what he should feel. Both him and Pete didn't grew up with a mother figure, both felt like they were both abandoned by their mothers.
Vegas grew up as a sole puppet of his father while Pete still doesn't have any idea on how psycho his father is. But this time, Pete had the mother who chose to be imprisoned for years just to hide the fact that Khun Pat's heir is alive.
Vegas doesn't understand that kind of love of a mother. He grew old thinking that his mother left him because it was his fault.
How wonderful would it be for Pete when he found out that his mother gives up everything... even leaving Khun Ja without a word just to hide him from his lunatic father.
"Whoever you are young man, leave now. Bring Pete with you and go away." Pam told him and whispers. "Don't let him meet me or Pat, please."
The desperation in her voice and how her eyes are in horror made Vegas wanted to follow her. He also doesn't like the idea of Pete meeting Pat. He would rather kill Pat and bury him to the core and let Pete live a normal life.
"We will help you to escape." Vegas didn't look further and tries to find ways on how to break the grills and made Pam run away with them.
"Does Pete know?" The question isn't complete but Vegas knows what she meant.
"No." He briefly replied.
Vegas knew that he isn't the one who should tell Pete about his father's identity.
If he did that, he will definitely describe Khun Pat in a million adjectives about how crazy, stupid, devilish and lunatic his father is. Vegas won't hesitate to curse Khun Pat in different languages he can ever learn.
Vegas moved the grills a little, tries to find out where it is connected and when he saw that there is a small crack and it was kind of detached, he pulled it slowly and surely.

He felt his hands burning and in red as he has been holding on for too long. His upper body was already feeling the fatigue and his feet tries to the step on the nearby pillar.
"You still have time to think," Pam is trying to persuade him. "Tell Pete to never come back here anymore."
Vegas can only scrunch his nose, takes a deep breath and prepares himself to communicate again.
"Pete will kill me if I didn't bring you back, Phi." With all of the patience he can absorb in his body, Vegas answered.
"If you got caught, Pat will kill the both of us."
Vegas smiled faintly and continues to ruin the grills. The way Pam said that was the same as Pete's tone- stubborn but at the same time funny.
"Why don't you kill him?"
The tense posture of Pam has turns into someone that is calm. The old lady rolled her eyes and stare at the chains wrapped on her wrist.
"I tried several times." She said. "That fucking stupid bastard seems to be a cat with nine lives. No. He probably have infinite lives from Satan."
Vegas is convinced and no one can change his mind that Pete only have the face of his father but definitely the same attitude and thinking of her mother.
"Pam."
When both of them heard that voice, Pam went on the bed and takes a sit while Vegas can only bend a little so he can hide and at the same time takes a look on what's happening inside. The room might be dark but he can easily recognize who enters the room.
If looks can kill, Khun Pat will definitely be decomposing at this point. Vegas with his left hand held his gun, ready to shoot Khun Pat the moment he notices his presence.
The only reason he will not kill Khun Pat is because he wanted to torture him. He doesn't care on how old Khun Pat is. He better feels the hell and enjoys the burning sensation as his soul disappear and would beg the heavens that he shouldn't be reborn again.
"I have some news for you." Khun Pat said.
Pam didn't answer, uninterested to the conversation.
"I found out that Pete isn't at the Main Family's house."
"Really?" Pam sarcastically answered. "So what?"
"Did you know that he should be here with us? But your son is so hard to find because he has been hanging out with Vegas."
"Vegas?"
"Kan's son." Khun Pat answered. "I wonder where that kid went."
The reason on why they didn't get tracked was because Vegas have already requested Arm to block any devices that can possibly be connected on their phones. He also took care of the CCTV footages and even the information about the vehicle they use.
When he requested that, Arm followed the order without any hesitation. The reason on why he agreed so easily is still a question.
"Let Pete live his life." Pam coldly said. "Let him be."

"Let him be?" Khun Pat raises his voice. "He is my heir, Pam. He should live with us as we dominate the business world. I've heard that Pete is a good fighter too, he can help me."
He sounds like a proud father when he said those words.
"You want to take him for what? To bring him in your own hell that no matter how many times you try, you can never escape?"
After saying that, Vegas saw how Khun Pat slaps Pam hard that she fell from her seat. The sound of chains hitting each other and the heavy breath of Pam as she recovers from shock was heard.
That scenario made Vegas gritted his teeth. He watch Khun Pat pulls Pam to stand up, his hands are tightly holding Pam's cheeks yet the woman was motionless, only staring at Khun Pat blankly.
"This is not hell, Pam. This is our home."
Fucking idiot. Vegas said at the back of his head.
"Home? You call this home? This is a fucking hell, Pat! And you! You will never escape from hell."
"And so do you!" The argument just heated. "If I will suffer...I will make sure that I will bring you with me, Pam, through thick and thin." He said the last sentence so sweetly.
"Crazy!"
"Twenty years has passed and you still don't like me?"
Pam scoffed. "I hate you until my last breath."
Khun Pat went near her again, slaps her again on both of her cheeks. He held Pam's hair and pulls it as they both exchange death glares.
"Kill me, Pat. Kill me!"
Vegas froze as the memory of Pete requesting him to kill him flashes in front of him. The way the universe has slaps him hard and made him see this situation was enough for Vegas to know how cruel he is.
He can see their situation before, the same beating, the words of two people exchanging heated arguments and how someone only wishes for his death.
"No." Khun Pat pushes her away. "We will still be a happy family with Pete." His voice changes as if he was finally near in reaching his goal.
"Family of what? Let Pete live his own life and don't bother him!"
"He belongs to us!"
"He isn't a toy!" Pam protected Pete as if she has known him for a very long time. "Do you think he will be happy to know about you?"
"I can force him to be happy."
You fucking can't. Vegas prepared his gun, he can't take it anymore. The more he sees Khun Pat's face, the more he wanted to murder him.
"That's why you're still lonely. You keep forcing people to do things for you."
With what she said, it triggers Khun Pat more that he pull the chains and made Pam hissed in pain.
"That's why you are here." He devilishly laughs like a devil who just won a battle. "You hid Pete well. You keep telling me that he died when you escaped."
"..."
"You also liked it, right? When I intentionally impregnated you and you keep him in your womb."
"The baby didn't do anything wrong but I also wish he died so that he won't meet a horrible person like you!"
No. That's a big no for Vegas. If Pete wasn't born then there is also no Vegas Theerapanyakul in this world. He believed that he was born to have Pete in his life.
"I am not horrible... I am doing it for us."
Pam shouted and tries to go near him but with her weak body, she can barely move forward.
"You fucking crazy bastard! You literally lose your mind!"
"If you want Pete dead before then you should have just killed him in your womb but you didn't! see? You wanted it too."
Vegas can see how miserable Pam became. She helplessly sat on the floor, with such disappointment as her eyes was filled with tears. Vegas heard her tired whimper as if she was so done of the argument.
"You gave me knife to kill him while he was on my womb." Pam cried again. "What do you even need to stop this crazy nonsense of yours?!"
"I need you, Pam." The fierce voice has turned into someone that is gentle. "I need you."
"You don't need me. You fucking need a therapist! You're sick in your head!"
Pam can only look down, giving up. Her white dress was starting to be tainted with the blood coming out from her wrist.
"Then what? Are you expecting Ja to tell you those words?"
Now, Khun Pat is involving Khun Ja in their conversation. The way Pam stopped after hearing Khun Ja's name is enough to know that it was never been Khun Pat.
"It's been years, Pam. I've told you already that Ja already have his family!"
Liar! Vegas might still hate Khun Ja but he knows that the old man never had a family. He was neither married nor had a child.
Khun Ja is still waiting for her.
"I am so tired, Pat." Pam confessed. "I am so tired. Kill me and let Pete live and everything will be okay."
Khun Pat sat down on the floor and the next thing he did made Vegas wanted to kill him more. Khun Pat went near her and hugs her like a good husband that is comforting his wife.
"No, no...shhh... we will live happily with Pete."
Don't even include him with your plan!
Vegas was about to shot Khun Pat when he suddenly notices something. At the open door, someone is leaning on the side and with his hands crossed near his chest.
He was looking at the view of the psycho Khun Pat hugging Pam who has already given up.
He raises his hands a little and moved his fingers, as a sign of waving to someone.
A smile forms into his lips as his eyes met Vegas. The man has seen him without him noticing.
Damn.
"Stop hiding." The man said and smiled at him.
" Khun Gray asked.

Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
8 521No Strings Attached [Rewritten]
Warning Just so you know, you better be paying attention to the chapter title or else it's going to be like travelling across multiverses. Explanation Due to a single comment made by a wonderful person, or some douchebag in real life, I have decided to create two seperate stories. A rewritten version, and the original version. The rewritten version will somewhat follow the original storyline of the original version, but will have extra content, extra side stories of course rewritten personalities. The original one will be like a rough draft of where I want the story to go. Like for instance, the original story is like the first Link from 'Legend of Zelda', choppy but fun to read. The rewritten story is the Link from any game during and after Windwaker, smooth and somewhat follows the main premise. Overall both are going to be probably terribly done but hey, I'm creating a furture and past story so what should you expect. - Styx Whatever just put up the revised description. - Ariel Edited Summary Jay W. Blu, a dashing and charming rich boy who's been spoiled his whole life. He is very cocky, has a case of egomania and isn't exactly what you call a 'Relatable Main character', unless you somehow fit one of these descriptions and then relate all you want. He had everything you would probably want if you weren't pessimistic, realistic, or chronically depressed. But as most reincarnation/summoning stories go, he get's himself killed at whatever age he was and is sent to another world. Normally, he would be summoned as something you would call a hero, but since that's to cliche by my standards he is something else. Instead of being the hero of the people that he was told about by a friend, he instead summoned as the anti-hero aka, 'The Hero of Demons'. Now he must traverse the lands slaying opposing heroes as he tries to keep his mind straight, although it's to late. There will be weird people along the journey like a fangirling war general, a hive mind and a manly magical girl? Oh well, Jay is too pure to see love anyways.
8 145Apollo and Daphne (Modernized)

8 111Once in a Blue Sun
First, the Blue Screens came, Transforming their lives into a game, Kevin's got a bomb, what a shame, Life will never ever be the same.
