CHAPTER 21 Lily's POV

Warning: French Kiss and Violence

My knees gave up and Salvy tightened his grip on my waist to prevent me from falling. I looked at his eyes, trying to see if he was lying but his blue eyes were filled with sincerity and anticipation.

(Heavenly by Cigarettes After Sex played through the speakers.)

H-he asked me to be his girlfriend. Me? A sh!tty anxious broken girl. My tears roll down my face, He really wants me. Am I dreaming? Is this a prank?

"Hey. Did I scare you? Are you okay?" He softly asked. He cups my face and wipes my tears using his thumb.

"A-re you sure? I m-mean you can h-have anyone. Why w-would you want s-someone like me?" I choked out

"Why not? You're the best thing that ever happened to me. You're the person I want, I like, I need and I crave." He kissed my nose and smiled charmingly at me.

"B-but I get anxious all the time, I easily g-get s-scared, I'm not f-fashionable or eye-catching. I'm a conversation k-killer, I don't know h-how to keep a c-conversation going. I st-stutter a lot. I'm useless. I'm b-boring and broken. I-I even need to attend therapy. H-how could you choose me? I j-just I d-don't get it." I lowered my head.

"Chin up my angioletto." I look up to him, he is still wearing his smile. "The people who said that to you or made you feel that way, are just fck up people who get their satisfaction in hurting others and If I ever meet them, I'll break every bone on their body and ship them on a faraway land where they can never see or hurt you again." he winks and lightly sway me to the beat.

"You're kind hearted, patient, considerate, thoughtful, sincere, lovable and so many more. You've always been the highlight of my day, I always look forward to going home and spending my time with you. I find your shyness and attempt to make the conversation flowing adorable. I love how you always consider everyone before making any decision or saying anything. There is also nothing wrong in asking for help, it makes you brave not broken. I like everything about you Lily Fiore." he pulled me closer to him and sweetly kissed my lips.

"I-I like you a l-lot too. S-Salvatorre Ugo Pl-please accept me as your girlfriend?" I kiss his cheeks.

(My Kind of Woman by Mac DeMarco played through the speakers.)

"Yes my angioletto. Who would say no to an angel?" he grinned and hugged me tighter. "Thank you. Thank you for trusting me."

"N-No. I should be the one thanking you. Thank you for choosing me." I sobbed harder on his chest. I am so happy, I don't even know why I'm crying.

"I will never let you go" His fingers tracing random patterns on my back and waist to soothe me. "Can I kiss you?" he asked, his voice coated with seduction.

I looked up to him and winked. He captures my lips, gently biting and sucking my lips. He pushes his tongue between my teeth and I open my mouth, his tongue eagerly tasting every inch of me and I can't help but moan. He slightly pulled away from me to let me breathe and continued his assault to my neck, I always love how he licks my skin after biting and sucking in it hard.

He gets back to my lips and lightly nibbles my swollen lips. I accidentally bit his lips, when I felt a sharp pain on my left arm. Salvy looked petrified and covered me with his body.

He was shouting something at me but I can't hear him. I saw several guys come out from the bushes and then everything went dark.

Salvy's POV

Several gunshots were fired in different directions, I hugged Lily closer to me. "Fcking find them, it's either your heads or theirs!" I shouted, I felt the familiar pain on my side. Sh!t I got shot, I don't know if they're aiming for Lily or me. I can't move, afraid that they're after Lily.

I grabbed my phone on the table and dialed Enzo's number. "We are being ambushed, Bring William and Andrea to the mansion. Prepare the doctor and the chamber." I said on the call and hung up.

A few minutes passed and Leo walked up to me. "Don, We were able to capture all of them. The car is also here. It's safe to move now." he said and bowed his head.

I stood up and carried Lily in my arms. Leo tried to take Lily but I glared at him. I walked to the car and gently laid her down on the back seat, her head resting on my thigh. I checked her wound and relief washes over me when I saw that the wound is not deep and the bullet just scraped her skin. She might have fainted due to shock.

I saw Enzo and Papà waiting outside the house, I carefully carried Lily and walked pass through them. I went straight to my room and saw a tiny hospital bed near my actual bed. I laid her down on the hospital bed. "Check her wound first" I commanded the doctor.

"Salvy, maybe he should check you first, the bullet is still inside you." Enzo cautiously said. I ignored him and watched the doctor clean her wound.

Enzo kept on trying to get my attention and I just want to punch him to make him stop. "Vaffanculo! I'll get mine fixed after Lily okay? Just fcking shut up!" I snapped at him. He sighed and bowed his head.

"All done, The skin was only grazed. It will heal within a few days." The doctor stated.

"Call Andrea and 2 female maids to change her clothes." I ordered Enzo. "Let's fix this somewhere else, I don't want to disturb Lily." I asked the Doctor. The Doctor nodded his head and followed me to the next room.

I sat on the bed and removed my stained clothes. Sh!t that stings. "Don't put anesthesia on it." I said. I need to be fully awake when I go down to the chamber later.

I can feel him cleaned the wound and his forceps deep in the wound. I tried my best to block whatever he is doing to me.

"Andrea and William are asking your permission to stay in your room and promise to leave after you get back. They want to check on Lily." Enzo asked.

"S-sure." I answered.

"Both of your wounds are not deep. I don't think their goal is to hurt or kill" Papà said while intently watching the doctor.

"The shot was precise and made sure that no vital organs were hit. Please No heavy lifting or any extreme physical activities for at least 2 weeks, your ribs just healed and you gained a few stitches from the wound." The Doctor said.

I clenched my fist. "I have an idea who did it and I'm going to enjoy extracting the answers from my new pets in the chamber. I'll handle this on my own Papà"

He nodded and I went to my room. I saw Lily sleeping in my bed, wearing a sleeveless night dress. William and Andrea are sitting near the bed just watching her sleep. I sigh and close the door.

I went to the chambers and saw the 4 culprits, they are all naked, and tied to a chair. "Good evening. Starting tonight your names will be One, two, three and four. I will probably kill you anyway, we don't need to get to know each other" I greeted them.

Enzo handed me my Cat O' Nine tails. "You know. It's been a while since I used this." I grimly smiled and whipped each one of them on their left arm, The blades on the whip removing chunks of their skin and muscles. Their groans in pain are like music to my ears.

"I want to know why Lily only got a scratch." I asked, walking around them.

"I-I missed" Three whispered.

"Do you think I'm a joke?" I laughed and hit him on his torso, the sound of his flesh ripping echoed through the chamber. "The Sniper's first shot missed? Bullsh!t."

"It w-was the instruction given to us. Scare the girl b-but don't hurt h-her." Three stuttered, his entire body shaking.

I whipped all of them on their thigh and belly. The laugh of my men overpowered the whimpers of the pets tied in the chair.

"Just two fcking hit and already peeing your bladders out?" Anthon shouted.

"Hush Boys, We have to give them credit. They did not even make a sound when we removed their thumbs." Leo taunted.

"I can make your deaths quick or leave you to die here with them. Who asked you to ambush us?" I questioned.

"B-Boss Ricco. He said that his brother owns the girl." One stuttered.

"Lily is not owned by anyone." I grabbed the gun from Enzo and shot him in the head. "I'm tired. Play with the pets and make sure all of them are dead before the sun rises." I ordered and walked away.

"Salvy, take a shower before going upstairs. I'll bring you a change of clothes. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to walk around looking like that" Enzo says while following me.

Sh!t He's right, I looked horrible and some of their blood splattered on me. I nodded and went to an unoccupied room in the basement.

I took a quick shower and dressed myself comfortably with a white wife beater and gray sweatpants.

Enzo is waiting for me outside the door. "Want to talk about it?" He offered. I nodded my head and we went to the garden.

We sat on the sun chairs, A maid served us a bottle of whiskey, bucket of ice and two glasses.

"What are we going to do now?" he sighed.

"I want the Don title to be transferred to me immediately, Once my parents move to a different house. Everyone will move in here." I drank in one go the whiskey in my glass.

He re-filled our glasses and frowned. "I think William will refuse to stay here."

"You're wrong" I shook my head. "I have a feeling he will be the first one to agree. William goes where Lily goes and Lily needs to be protected from those fck up brothers."

"Should we tell them about the brothers?"

"No. It will scare them, just make up some excuse on why it happened."

"Who would have thought that Matteo is so obsessed with Lily, he sent one of his best snipers just to make sure Lily will not get hurt on his ambush." he laughs.

"As if their fcking stunt scared me. Lily is my girlfriend and I will protect her even if this sh!t ends in a war."

"Wait. She agreed to be your girlfriend before or after she got shot?"

"Why does it matter?" I rolled my eyes.

"It matters because What if Lily doesn't want it anymore after what happened?"

Then it dawned on me, What if Lily really gets too scared and doesn't want anything to do with me anymore. What will I do?
