Song used is Empty Words by Beth Crowley
"I need to find myself Kong, I just don't see myself having a future with you anymore. I see a full future with P'John now"Arthit says, leaving the shocked and broken hearted younger boy shaking his head. "No, P'Arthit. We can make this work can't we? I was able to adjust with what you want, I can keep doing it"Kong says, watching as his phi shook his head. "No Kong, I'm just not happy anymore"Arthit says, clutching his bag and his suitcase before making his way to the door. "Kong, I'm sorry"Arthit says. "I don't want your apology! I want you to stay! P'Arthit please don't leave"Kong pleaded, grabbing his senior's hand. "I regret everything. All of it. You, me, what we did, what we had...everything" Arthit says, shedding a single tear as he jerked his hand away from the younger's grasp.Just then it began raining cats and dogs outside, as if the sky was empathizing with both boys at that moment.
"I just don't think you need me anymore. I'm doing you a favor"Arthit says, and at that moment Kong decided to stop trying, so he let go of Arthit's hand and let him go outside. "Is this what you really want?"Kong asked, Arthit didn't bother to look back as he opened the door to let the cold air get inside the house. "Fine. If you walk away from me, I don't want you coming back"Kong says as Arthit opened his umbrella with tears streaming from his eyes. "One day you're going to wake up and notice that you should've tried. That I was worth the fight"Kong says, telling himself that if Arthit wanted to leave then he wasn't going to try and stop him this time, he was done trying to fight. Kong had followed Arthit out in the rain as Arthit waited for a cab, it was 11 pm so he wouldn't be getting one anytime soon but he had to wait. But if he was being absolutely honest he was grateful he had to wait, Kong was too. It gave him more time to speak his feelings out, and Arthit wanted that too.
"Listen, if you're going to leave that's fine. And I know you promised you wouldn't but I also know that sometimes it rains when it's not supposed to. And boys kiss people they shouldn't. And people trust people they shouldn't. So I understand why you're done"
"But please don't forget to pack up our 3 hour FaceTime calls, and our photographs where we were smiling so big it looks like we've never been happier or felt that pit in your stomack when someone says they don't love you anymore" Kong continued, getting soaked with rain water more and more but that was the least of his concerns right now.
"Take back every kiss. Every time I started to fall asleep on your chest. Every song you screamed at the top of your lungs in the car just to make me laugh and smile. Every tickle fight. Every "I love you more" fight. Every adventure we went on together. Every little thing that reminded me of you" Arthit's tears flowed along with the pouring rain as he listened to his now ex-lovers words

"I gave you everything and yet you decided to give your all to a boy who won't give you even a silver of attention I ever gave you. You'll look for me in every person you come across in life and when you realize there's no "better me" I won't be here when you come running back" Kong finished just as Arthit finally hailed a cab and drove away, leaving Kong with his knees on the ground as tears still streamed from his eyes.
~.~.~.~.~.
Kong shook his head to shake away the memory. That happened 1 year ago, Kong was a better man now. He got himself a new boyfriend named Thun Thunyakorn and he was proud to say he was happy now. But the memory still haunts him, that's the reason why he hates the rain; as it reminds him of that night. He wasn't afraid to say he hasn't moved on yet, but he was thankful Thun understood that and respected it. "Kong, standby. You get on the stage in 5"His manager P'Jane says and he thanks him. Kong was a famous singer-song writer now. He took the 3 things that reminded him of his ex: singing, song writing and guitar playing, and used that to cope up with their break-up.
"Here's your guitar P'Kong"Thun says, handing him his guitar as Kong smiled. "Thanks babe"He says, kissing his boyfriend's head. "By the way phi, one of my friends said P'Arthit is here"Thun says, unintentionally making Kong nervous. "Are you sure you don't want me up there with you phi? What if you break down again?"Thun asked, concerned that his phi may not be able to hold back his feelings. But Kong shook his head and smiled. "No, I'll be fine. Thanks"Kong says and Thun nodded, praying he really would be fine.
"Good evening everyone!"The MC says and the crowd cheered. "See you backstage"Thun says, kissing his boyfriend's cheek before going to the side of the stage. "I'm sure you're all excited to see our very own lion"The MC says and the crowd cheered louder. "So I won't hold you here any longer, everyone please welcome to the stage, Khongpob Sutthiluk"The MC says and Kong pulled together a smile before getting on stage with his guitar. "Good evening everyone"He greeted again. "We missed you P'Kong"The crowd says together and Kong smiled softly at them. "I missed you too, it's been an entire year. But I promise you I am better now"Kong says, spotting his ex in the very front of the stage.
"This song, I wrote it on that day when my world turned upside down"Kong says, not taking his eyes off of Arthit as he spoke. "This is for everyone who talk with their mouths full.....of lies"Kong says, as he began to pluch the strings of the guitar. Arthit looked up at him, feeling stupid for even coming to the concert. Unlike his ex, he has moved on but the pain is still there. Then Kong began singing, holding back his tears as the memory once again flows in his mind.
You left, needed to find yourselfjust an excuse to go and look for someone elseYou're back, you're thinking just like thatI can forgive, but let me tell you what I can't forget

Me standing thereas you walked awayignoring me when I was begging you to stayYou never turned around, not even oncewhile I called you're name, said "is this what you really want?"
Kong sang, preparing himself for the chorus as a tear escaped his eye. He opened his eyes and his gaze one again met Arthit's.
But they were, empty wordsNow I'm way too numb to ever let them hurtYou didn't get the best of me,I rescued what was left of meSave it, you can keep your empty words"
He sang, tears now flowling from both he and Arthit's eyes.
"You're here to crocodile tearsyou make your case, describing how much you have changedYou're sure, 'cause it's always worked beforeYou can persuade me you won'tdoubt your feelings anymore"
The crowd was swaying while some also cried with Kong and Arthit because of the message of the song. Among them were 2 ex couples who met unexpectedly at the concet- Perth and Saint who was with his new boyfriend Zee. Kao and Earth, both with their new boyfriends. They were crying along with the song as memories filled their minds again
So confident but you'll be surprisedit took a whilebut I can finally recognizeI'm so much better off with someone elsewho can see what they havewhen it's right in front of them"
Kong sang, averting his eyes from Arthit to Thun with a smile. Arthit followed his gaze and smiled too, he was happy Kong was with someone who will treat him better. He and John had also already broken up, and Kong was right. There really was no better him, but it was too late.
"But they were, empty wordsNow I'm way too numb to ever let them hurtYou didn't get the best of me,I rescued what was left of meSave it, you can keep your empty words
The crowd told Kong to stop crying as the instrumental part of the song was playing, the pre-recorded one this time. Kong laughed before wiping his tears and gripped the mic before singing the last words of the song
Don't need your, empty wordsNow I'm way too numb to ever let them hurtYou didn't get the best of me,I rescued what was left of meSave it, you can keep your empty words"
Kong finished, wiping the tears from his eyes again. The crowd clapped once he finished, drying their tears and laughed at themselves for being so overwhelmed with emotions. Kong smiled before getting off the stage when the MC took over. Perth and Saint along with Kao and Earth had hugged each other to comfort the other, letting each other know they were still good friends even after what happened. "One one of you has a backstage pass please proceed with Lisa over there"The MC gestured and one of the staff raised her hand for everyone to see. Arthit looked down at his backstage pass before making his way with Lisa. "So you're the lucky fan"Lisa says and Arthit laughed before following her backstage.
"Kong, the fan is here"Lisa says, Kong was taking off his earpiece when they arrived. "Ok, please tell-"Kong turned around to face the fan when he sees Arthit. "Hello"Kong says, giving his most friendly fan-service smile. "I'll leave you both here. Thun, you stay"Lisa orders and Thun nodded, he was also one of the staff and it was a rule that one staff member stayed during backstage meetings. Not only that, but because Lisa knew Kong would need Thun there when he faces his ex- yes, everyone knows. That's how close they are to each other. "You're lucky to have been able to buy the ticket with the backstage pass"Kong says, reminding himself he needed to talk the way an idol would to his fan. He was going to disregard their personal affairs and act proffesional.
"It's seems so. You seem tired, have you been resting lately?"Arthit asks, he saw nothing wrong with the question as a normal fan would ask that question too. "I've been quite stressed lately but I've been taking care of myself, thanks for your concern"Kong smiles at him, ignoring the pain he was feeling in his heart for seeing his ex after an entire year."How about you? How have you been?"Kong asks. "I've been pretty good too"Arthit answers. "You see, this is really awkward for me. So how about we skip the faux feelings and you tell me how you really are"Kong suddenly says, leaving Thun and Arthit shocked. "Very well. I've been absolutely horrible lately but I'm holding up fine. John and I broke up" Arthit confesses.
"Oh. Well for me, I'm doing ok I guess. Still a little scarred since the day you left, but I'm ok"Kong answers. "I heard you have a boyfriend?" Arthit asked and Kong nodded before pointing towards Thun who was too busy with his phone to notice. "Good on you"Arthit says awkwardly. "I have a question though"Kong says. "Ask away"Arthit replies, watching as Kong took a deep breath.
"Why now?"
"What do you mean?"
"Why did you choose to show up now? After an entire year?"
Arthit was speechless, he wasn't expecting the question and so it had caught him off guard."P'Kong, you don't have to-"Thun began to say, noticing how uncomfortable it made Arthit. "No, I need to know"Kong answered, his miscles tensing as he waited for the answer. "Because I wasn't ready to face you after what I've done okay? I broke you, I didn't want to but I did and I couldn't accept that"Arthit answered but Kong scoffed. "So why'd you leave? If you didn't want to break me then why'd you leave then?"Kong demanded, by this time Thun was beside him, holding his hand in a comforting way
Arthit couldn't answer so he remained silent. "But you know what, I have to thank you for leaving me. Now I have Thun, and I guess you really did do me a favor"Kong says, looking into Thun's eyes and smiling at him. "P'Kong, stop"Thun whispered. "Well, have a nice life Arthit. Thank you for coming to the concert"Kong says coldly before standing up and leaving. "I'm sorry for him P'Arthit, he's just been really stressed lately"Thun says but Arthit shook his head. "Just promise me you'll take care of him"Arthit sobbed and Thun nodded before saying "Will do phi" and following Kong outside."I've truly lost you, but you will always have a special place in my heart"Arthit says, before standing up and exitting the backstage as well.

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
