《Scentless Curiosity [KristSingto Fanfic]》22: Wonderful In-laws

Krist looked at the vase sitting on the coffee table in their living room, the flowers from two days ago still relatively fresh. Singto suggested throwing them away since they were going to wilt sooner or later but Krist wanted to keep them because he liked them. He loved the meaning behind it and the fact that his fiancé put so much thought into the proposal warmed his heart.
Fiancé.
That word still feels like a dream, sure he dreamt of marrying him in the future but he never thought it would come so soon.
"Staring at them again?"
"Of course I am, I still can't believe we're engaged..."
"No going back on your words since you've already worn the ring on your finger."
"Honestly... before I met you, Phi. Never in my life had I thought I would get a boyfriend and get married. I was prepared to spend my life all alone and single."
"Well, that plan went flying out of the window ever since I laid my eyes on you. So, let's think about what to eat for breakfast instead, you should be hungry already."
Krist was about to say he was not hungry but his stomach betrayed him by releasing a loud growl. "Okay, maybe I should think about what to eat now."
Since two days back, both of them wore their rings proudly, not hiding the fact that they were engaged. Previously, the promise rings Krist got them were worn as necklaces, paired together with their gear bracelets. This pair of accessories always made Peraya smile ear to ear and go crazy.
After all, what was better than your ship being proudly in love and together?
But now, they went even more crazy when someone pointed out their rings, creating another wave in their university forum and on social media. It was now known to everyone in campus that the former head hazer who was about to graduate and the third year head hazer were tying the knot. There was a tacit understanding to not offend any one of the two because you did not want a fierce alpha coming at you with daggers in his eyes, neither did you want a seemingly innocent smile directed at you from the anomaly called Krist Perawat. It has already been two years, they still did not know his secondary gender.

During breakfast, Singto asked a question that made Krist choke on his drink. It was, "Kit, can I go meet your parents?" To which he responded with, "What! Why?!" Singto explained that he wanted to formally ask for their permission for his hand in marriage. After all, he did not want their first meeting to be, "I'm your son's husband." He wanted to make a good first impression, lest they saw him as somebody who stole their precious son away without them knowing.
----
The two-storey house loomed over them, for the first time Krist felt scared to step into his own house. Singto was not nervous? That is an utter lie, the man's palms were sweaty and sticky but he still kept their hands intertwined to comfort himself with the fact that Singto was just as nervous as he was.
They walked step by step towards the from door as if they were heading to hell and when Krist heard the click, signalling that the door was unlocked, he knew there was no going back. His father was on the couch enjoying his lakorn while his mother was cooking dinner in the kitchen. "Sawasdee krub por, I'm home."
"Mm, Sawasdee and this is?" His eyes briefly went towards their joined hands before looking back up at them.
"Sawasdee krub, Uncle. I'm Singto Prachaya Ruangroj, Kit's senior." Singto greeted Krist's father, he was not that shameless to call him dad, at least not until he got their permission.
"Oh, so you're that senior he's been talking about?" Cue Krist's favourite friend, blush.
"P-por!"
"Oh, he talks about me?" Singto made his way to the couch, expressing his sincere curiosity in the current topic. Unfortunately for him, his father was taking the opportunity to tease his son so he ignored the pleading tone of his son and continued on with spilling the tea.

Krist gave up and went into the kitchen to see if there was anything he could help with, "Son, you're back? Did you bring your senior over?" It seemed that there was no escape for him today.
After dinner, the four of them sat down in the living room, one couple opposite of the other. Krist started fidgeting and Singto started the conversation, "Auntie, Uncle, today I came over to ask if you would let me marry your son."
He looked over Singto from bottom to top, and again. Then he said, "If you can take care of him well, then I agree."
"I promise I will, Uncle. I will give him all that he needs and wants, the next time you see him would have gained weight."
"From the food I presume."
"O-of course it's from the food, Por!" What did he mean he presumes?!
"Calm down son, your por is just saying. Mae thinks that Singto seems like a very good man, he is perfect for my precious baby. He has good manners and he even looks so handsome!"
"Ahem, I'm still here. Can you not praise another man?"
"I'm just saying the truth, Honey."
"Thank you Uncle and Auntie for accepting me."
Mae immediately waved her hand in front of her after hearing Singto, "Oh, no need for that, just call me Mae and call him Por. After all, you are now my dear son-in-law!"
"Krub, Mae."
When Krist and Singto left, once they were out of earshot of a normal person, Singto heard Mae say, "Honey, you owe me a hundred baht now." And he smiled at that, his parent-in-laws were very wonderful people.
"Why are you smiling?"
"Hm? Nothing... I just feel happy, that's all." Maybe one day he would tell him that his parents bet on him.

Taking advantage of his weaknesses, the Fearmongers, demigods, gods, and many others will hinder his path. But a powerful yearning will keep him from falling apart. An ever-burning flame melting away the despair and welding back the broken pieces of courage.A single desire.«I will find redemption no matter the cost.»………Or not, hun, who knows? The book isn’t done yet. Haha—SLAP!«Who put this guy in the synopsis narration?! Get him out of here and launch the warnings! Now!»***WARNINGS:— The MC is human. If you’re looking for a perfect MC, you’ll only be wasting your time here. However, if you’re looking for an MC who will LEARN, GROW because of his flaws. An MC who will try his hardest to overcome adversity, then you’re in the right place.— No harems. However, it doesn’t mean the characters can’t fool around without having love interests. A relationship isn’t necessary for people to satisfy their physical desires.— You will find a few typos, grammatical and wording issues, that’s certain. I’ll do my best to bring you guys quality content and such issues will either be nonexistent or extremely few. However, one man can only do so much. If I get enough support, I’ll hire an EDITOR that will look at the chaps with a fresh eye. And POOF! Issues no more. Improved quality. Happier author and reader. Not sure if the editor will be happy tho.— The first three chapters are fast-paced as to quickly get into the nitty-gritty but slow down afterward to give the story the time it needs to progress accordingly.— The book can, never mind, it will contain «strong» language, gore and violence.— Comedy, as you know it (and if you don’t, now you know) is subjective. So you might not like the jokes.— If you truly read that until the end you have my virtual congratulations ‘cause I sure as hell wouldn’t have done that.
