《Disco Madness (jjba5xreader)》[34] The Stranger

"Have anyone seen my skates?!" You were practically tearing your guestroom apart, trying to find the black rolling boots. Your searches were proving to be in vain as you crawled out from under your bed with dust bunnies clinging to your hair and clothes.

Even while in hiding, you still have to attend work in your new job, which consisted of defending Doppio or anyone who offered Bucciarati enough money. But you knew Bucciarati wouldn't give you a job while you were trying to lay low. But Doppio, on the other hand, had no clue what was going on, and as far as he knows, you were spending the night at La Squadra's when he decided to ring you up and drop another mission onto your shoulders; which was just your luck.

Great...

"Did you try checking under the dresser? It looks about wide enough for them to get swept under without you noticing." Proscuitto leaned against the doorframe and watched you scramble away from the bed and towards the dresser.

"Ah-ha!" You pulled the dusty skates out from under the dresser and quickly brushed the dust off the best you could.

"Is Risotto ready? Doppio was nice enough to let me take you guys along." Proscuitto waved your questions off and shrugged. "He's probably already ready and waiting downstairs for us."

You nodded your head and popped your skates on before lacing them up. "Alright, I see you guys downstairs in a minute." Prosciutto waved before exiting your room and headed downstairs.

Risotto was patiently waiting downstairs, petting JB, who was rolling around on his back as Risotto gently scratched his belly. Prosciutto fished around in his breast pocket before removing a lighter and a pack of cigarettes. He was quick to get one in his mouth and light it before standing idly by the window.

"Is she ready yet? Doppio will be here any minute." On cue, you were skating down the hall before coming to the horrible realization of trying to figure out how to go downstairs without busting your ass.

"Help! I've got skates on, and I can't get down the stairs!" You waited a moment before hearing something crash from the hall behind you before a Melone came sprinting out of his room. "I've come to save the day!" He quickly scooped you up before carrying you down the stairs while you held a shit-eating smile on your face from having to save yourself from sliding down the railing.

Melone would've carried you down the stairs regardless if you had skates on or not, but the reason why he was so fast about calling first dibs is that you're wearing your old school uniform. It didn't take a genius to figure out why he was so desperate to be the first to carry you.

"Good, you're ready." Risotto was sitting on the couch with his normal stoic expression while JB rubbed himself against the goth. He remained stoned face while lightly scratching the dog, which you found hilarious to watch.

"Smile a bit, Risotto! You get to go on a mission with (Y/n)!" Formaggio was sitting across from the ironically cold clown, reading a magazine that didn't seem very appealing to you. "It's not like she's going to possibly get the two of you killed, but then again, it's (Y/n)."

"The hell is that supposed to mean?!" Formaggio gave you a sly grin before looking back down at his magazine, still smiling. "You'll figure it out."

"Bitch. I will end your family bloodline right here and right now." manifested behind you and cracked his knuckles, ready to bust a man's nuts.

Formaggio didn't even get a chance to start running before someone knocked on the front door. "Time to go. You can break Formaggio's balls when we get back." Prosciutto smothered his finished cigarette out in the ashtray before pushing himself off the windowsill and heading towards the front door.

"This ain't over. You better be ready to face my ball breaker 3000 because you won't be able to sleep on your stomach for months when I through with you." You motioned to , who ran a finger across his throat before following you out of the living room, not without staring the male down the male threateningly first.

Formaggio didn't know if he should be taking your threats seriously or not, but knowing you, you'd probably go through with your words when you remembered them again at three in the morning after chugging a whole bottle of chocolate syrup.

You pushed your way between Risotto and Prosciutto and was the first out the door, scanning your soundings for the familiar head of pink hair. Once spotting your target, you skated full speed at him and jumped. "Dopes!" You wrapped your arms around him and giggled like a little kid who just got to see their puppy again for the first time in the last few hours.

"(Y/n)! Don't jump on me like that. I could've fallen." He stumbled forward a bit and shrugged you off his back before straightening up to his full height.

"At least you would've fallen because of me." You bounced your eyebrows before the pinkette shook his head in amusement.

"Who did you pick to come along with us today?" He looked over your shoulder and stiffened at the sight of the two large males, slightly intimidated by their height.

He straightened himself up even more and puffed his chest out before crossing his arms. "You two know what this mission is about, right?" The two of them nodded before Risotto stepped forward to repeat what you told the two of them earlier.

"You've been getting odd reports of a thick fog coming out of nowhere in certain spots by warehouses owned by Passione, but oddly nothing has been taken, just rummaged through. Basically, we're dealing with trespassers that are being a little too nosy." Doppio nodded his head and motioned for the four of you to follow him to his car.

"Right. Boss said they've seemed to be searching for something, but he doesn't have any clue what it could be. Whatever it is, they think Passione has their hands on it." He climbed into the driver's seat while you quickly claimed shotgun.

Once Risotto and Prosciutto got situated in the back, Doppio sped off, which you learned he was notorious for when you were already buckled up and hanging onto the grab bar above your head.

You tried not to laugh when you watched Risotto and Prosciutto get pressed against the backseats from the car accelerating too fast.

After driving for a few minutes, you decided to break the silence, "So. Who wants to play a game?" You looked into the backseat with a goofy grin while the two males gave you a deadpanned expression, not very amused with you trying to lighten the dull mood.

"Damn. Fine, be like that." You turned around and crossed your arms before huffing. "I was just trying to pass the time..." You mumbled a few other unintelligible things under your breath as Doppio chuckled and patted your arm.

You ended up staring out of the window and quietly hummed a random song that came to mind as you watched the city go by.

"That's some thick ass fog..." You pressed your nose against the glass of the car as Doppio tried to navigate through the dense mist. "Yeah... I just hope having any actual contact with this stuff doesn't cause any damage. But the bright side is, nothing seemed to be damaged when I had someone inspect everything. So that means it's probably harmless." Doppio mused as he continued to drive slowly.

You hummed and continued to squint your eyes and try to make out anything inside of it. You could probably only see about ten or fifteen feet. Not very convenient for the driver.

Proscuitto was itching for another cigarette, but he knew better than to smoke at the moment as he tried to theorize on how they could find the intruders within the fog.

"They're probably avoiding us because they can hear the car moving. It would be better if we got out and hunted them on foot instead." You pointed out Doppio's mistake for driving the giant hunk of metal through the heavy haze of fog.

"How do we even know this stuff won't kill us? It could harm us and we wouldn't even know it until it's too late." Proscuitto countered, causing you to turn around in your seat and shrug.

"I'll test it then." Before anyone could stop you, you opened the door and slipped out before too much of the mist could flood the car. You stood there and took a deep breath of the air and shrugged your shoulders.

"I feel fine. Just smells like humid air." You could see Risotto and Prosciutto weren't amused with you while Doppio tried to recover from his small heart attack.

"Pussies." You gave them a small grin and jokingly flipped them off as Prosciutto returned the gesture with a scowl.

"Come on! We don't have all day you three!" Risotto sighed and clicked his door open before stepping out, there was no point in dawdling when you already tested the theory of the mist being perfectly fine.

"God damn it, (Y/N)." Prosciutto climbed out soon, with Doppio following after, leaving the car on so the four of you could see a bit still.

"What's the plan bossman? You give the orders on this one." You looked at Doppio as he rounded the car to meet up with the three of you.

"We're obviously staying in a group, otherwise we would all get lost. We capture one person alive and eliminate the teammates if there is any. Risotto should be able to handle that simply, and Proscuitto and you should be able to immobilize somebody easily. I'll handle the rest once you three do your jobs." You all nodded in confirmation before Doppio started into the fog with the three of you following behind.

"This should be a piece of cake. If we get this done quickly we'll be back just in time for lunch." You grinned at the thought of possibly going out and getting yourself a treat for lunch.

When was the last time you rewarded yourself? It wouldn't hurt to buy some doughnuts or pastries to share with the rest of La Squadra.

You were snapped out of your thoughts with Risotto resting a hand on your shoulder and frowning at his surroundings. "What's up?" You looked around and squinted as you noticed Doppio starting to disappear.

"Hey, Dopes! Stop walking!" You shrugged Riotto's hand off and lunged at the pinkette that was only a few feet in front of you before losing sight of him completely. "Dopes!" You yelled into the fog and got no reply.

You turned around to look back at Risotto and Prosciutto before frowning.

They were both gone.

"Ah, shit..." You cursed yourself for not suggesting you tie strings or hold hands while going through the thick mist. Of course, you were destined to get split up.

Just great...

"Hello?! Risotto?! Doppio?! Prosciutto?! You guys nearby?!" You listened to your voice echo all around you, like it was bouncing off metal walls and coming back right at you.

You were always taught at a young age by your mother to always stay put and wait for help, but you weren't really sure if that would help in this case. The amount of ground Doppio was trying to cover inside the car was at least a dozen football fields large.

"Prosciutto?! Hello?! Where the hell are y'all?!" You started walking after a minute of listening to your voice echo and decided you would have better luck in finding the stand user or one of your companions.

You couldn't even see three feet in front of you as tried to squint and navigate through the heavy wall of water vapor. You ended up giving up on squinting and tried to flail your arms around to try and clear what was around you.

Just like you thought... that didn't work either. It was still worth a shot though, even though you tried this every time it got even a bit foggy back where you lived.

"We're not getting anywhere at this rate...!" Your stand was more than happy to come out at the call of his name before quickly realizing he wasn't fighting anyone.

You could faintly see him through all the water vapor sounding the two of you as he tilted his head slightly at the predicament you got yourself into.

"Don't look at me like that. I was just trying to stop Doppio before we lost sight of him completely." Your stand crossed his arms and shook his head disapprovingly. He wasn't too surprised at this point after spending many years with you and witnessing you do different stupid acts that either led you to wake up in a random location, a few injuries or completely lost.

Typical...

He knew the one cure for something like this and the good news was that it was all-inclusive. It was the solution to every problem, except alcohol, which was the cause and solution to every problem.

He patted his pockets before sticking one of his hands in his back pocket, looking for a particular tape that would be loud and catchy enough for anyone to hear it and immediately know who was in the area. Even if an enemy used this to their advantage, you would have to face them at one point or another.

He stopped at the sound of someone whistling and looked down at your confused face.

You strained your ears and tried to focus on the whistling as it played a familiar tune. "Is that... Billy Joel? Is someone whistling The Stranger?" You couldn't exactly pinpoint the location of the whistling, since he seemed to be coming from all around you.

"Hey! Who's that whistling?!" You cupped your hands around your mouth to amplify your volume and listened to your words echo all around you as you waited for some kind of reply.

The whistling immediately ceased.

You knew if it was one of your teammates, then they would've responded immediately. What unnerved you was the fact you couldn't navigate and figure out where the hell you were, and now someone knew you were close by.

Luck didn't seem to want to be on your side today.

You kicked at the ground in frustration before looking back up at with a small frown. "Do you think we'll be able to get some lunch at this rate?" You didn't eat that morning and was kinda itching for a snack.

Actually, you were pretty damn hungry.

shrugged his shoulders before fading away, already knowing you didn't need his assistance at the moment.

You scrunched your nose up at the thought of having to continue your adventures alone, but nevertheless, you continued to skate through the fog.

"Oi! Where the hell are you guys at?!" You continued yelling and listening for any responses as you tried to navigate through the vapor that seemed to be never-ending.

"(Y/n)." You jumped at the sound of your name and whirled around to see the outline of Risotto peaking through the fog. "Jesus- Atleast make noise before you just walk up behind someone and say their name!" You skated towards his silhouette until you could see him clearly enough and stopped.

He was staring down at you with a dull expression on his face with his arms idly hanging by his side. "Any clue where everyone is? Or was I the first person you found?" You skated beside him before he started his walk with you at his side.

"I haven't found the others yet. The fog must've split us up earlier." You let out a noise of agreement as you made sure to keep close to him and keep your eyes out for the others as you made your way through the mist.

"At least you found me first! It was actually starting to get a bit boring wandering by myself." Plus, you were hungry and wanted to get this mission over with already. But you weren't going to mention that part.

"Right. We'd be better off trying to find the car and looking for the others or eliminating the enemies first." You hummed in agreement before deciding to pester him a bit. Not out of boredom or curiosity, but something else...

"How many people do you think we're dealing with?" You crossed your arms behind your back and made gentle pushes with your feet as you continued to skate.

"Most likely a pair. It'd be good if we were to eliminate them as soon as possible." You let out another hum and eyed him for a second before shrugging your shoulders. "Whatever you say, BDSM Clown."

He didn't even react to the nickname and kept walking, occasionally glancing towards you to make sure you weren't falling behind.

"Hang on a second..." He stopped suddenly and made sure to grab you, so you wouldn't keep rolling. He stared out into the mist and squinted slightly as you tried to follow his eyes and figure out what he was looking at.

"What's up-?" He covered your mouth and continued to stare out into the mist. You squinted harder and finally saw slight movement from within as the air around the person stirred.

After trying to confirm who you were looking at, you finally identified the silhouette.

Risotto...

You didn't think that was good if there was already a Risotto next to you. "What the shit?" You were words were slightly muffled by Risotto's hand as he shot you a warning glance.

Now you were actually curious, was the Risotto you were with actually Risotto?

You pushed his hand off your mouth and took off skating towards the other Risotto, which quickly caught his attention from how loud your skates were clacking.

"(Y/n)?" You came to a halt and looked between the two before groaning.

They seemed to quickly take notice of each other as they both stared each other down with a menacing glare.

"They don't have iron in their blood. That's not a person, let alone me." The first Risotto you encountered claimed as the second Risotto gritted his teeth and narrowed his eyes.

"doesn't need to rely on just the iron inside your blood, it can easily use the iron in the environment around us." The second Risotto you just encounter countered as he put a hand on his hip.

You were starting to get a headache trying to figure out who was real and who was fake. "Well... The real Risotto would know what my dog's name is." You smiled proudly at your smart thinking as they both responded to your question at the same time. "JB."

Never mind, this was a lot harder than you thought.

"Uhhhh- my favoirte color?"

"(f/c)."

"Damn, y'all are good at this..." You crossed your arms as the two of them stared each other down with narrowed eyes.

"(Y/n), just make them try to reveal . They can't have the same stand." Risotto #2 pointed out as Risotto #1 crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes.

"How do I know you're not going to somehow copy after seeing them?" You continued to look between the two, already feeling a headache starting to form.

"When's my birthday?" They both looked back at you again and responded to the question.

"MM/DD" / "You never told us." They both look at each other with a grimace as you smirked, already finding your imposter.

"You're the real Risotto. I never told anyone when my birthday was. Not even Bucciarati himself knows." You grabbed Risotto #2's arm as Risotto #1 grimaced from his cover being blown.

"You're smart, but your friends aren't doing too hot." They smirked as the fog started to lift, revealing the giant parking lot you've been wandering through.

You immediately spotted Doppio trying to figure out who the real (Y/n) was as one of them clung to his shoulder while the other yelled at the (Y/n) with a pissed-off expression.

Proscuitto was dealing with the same situation, but both (Y/n)'s were fighting while he tried to break the two up, already having a busted nose.
