(I already talked about wildfires in another chapter, so it will be left out of this one)

these are some headcanon's on how natural disasters affect the states (and america!)

*TW// i'm putting a tw here for mentions of throwing up, so if you feel uncomfortable reading about that, feel free to skip ahead !!*

Hurricanes🌀:

- when a state is hit by a hurricane, a multitude of different symptoms can occur, depending on the severity of the hurricane

- if it's a tropical storm or a cat 1-2 hurricane the state will most likely just feel tired, drained, and excessively sweaty. they may also develop a fever.

- if the hurricane is a cat 3-5 then along with the regular and less severe symptoms, a state may get sick on numerous occasions, throwing up water caused by flooding.

- hurricanes also cause restlessness, headaches, mood swings and the state just feels all-round miserable.

Tornadoes🌪:

- symptoms of tornadoes are dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, and hallucinations

- a lot of the times if the tornado is powerful enough the state physically won't be able to stand due to everything seeming like it's spinning

- though, if a tornado doesn't do much harm then the state may just get a bad headache or nausea for a few minutes

Snow Storms🌨 :

- when a state is hit by a snow storm, they will constantly feel cold and no matter what can't get warm

- the northern states are pretty used to the cold weather so it won't bother them as much versus the extreme cold weather the US saw in texas this past winter (he was NOT prepared for that at all lemme just say)

- a state will usually develop a cold (yeah makes sense) and will be constantly shivering

- (also they may or may not cuddle with the warmer states lol)

Heat Advisories🔥:

- heat advisories almost always end up in the state passing out, even just for a few minutes

- they'll get extremely hot, sweat excessively, and become very, very tired.

- (cali and arizona will often times just spend an entire day chilling at the pool)

- it's very important that a state stays hydrated during these periods, so the chances of them passing out is lessened.

America vs. the States:

- when it comes to natural disasters, the state always feels it more intensely then america.

- for instance, if a hurricane is hitting say florida, she will be more severely affected by the hurricane versus america.

- another example would be a raging wildfire in california. cali would get lots of burns whereas america's burns would be less severe and more manageable.

- it's always less intense for america because he encompasses his whole country while the states just encompass, well, their state. so say a tornado is occurring in oklahoma. oklahoma would feel it the worst, america would feel it a little less, and the other states wouldn't feel it at all.

- ame always feels bad when a disaster hits and wishes he could feel all the pain instead of his states🥺
