- when he's sober he's actually a really smart guy who knows a lot about nature and likes to give guided tours

- gets high as a way to escape life, whether that be for good reasons or bad

- is frenemies sort of with utah. except it's a weird one-sided sort of thing where colorado is the clueless dumbass and utah hates colo but loves him at the same time.
