a chapter full of road trip shenanigans.

all of the states (including alaska & hawai'i and sometimes even puerto rico and the other 4 prominent territories) take an annual cross country road trip together!

they try to hit up each and every state too, and spend 1-2 days there on average depending on how many attractions they want to see/do. (but since their time is limited they don't always get to every states lol)

now of course, 50+ states and territories can't fit in one single car, truck, or van, so they take multiple!

it takes about 10-15 vehicles to have all the states comfortably ride in them for OVER a month.

(they usually take vans, minivans and trucks)

the trip is from the east coast to the west coast so they start in maine, go down to florida, then a pit stop in texas, california, and finally washington. (that's the typical route, sometimes if they wanna make sure they hit the midwest they go from maine to ohio and then along the US-canadian border)

ROAD TRIP SHENANIGANS:

- the amount of planning this takes is surprisingly little to none. the states just sorta go with the flow (and because there's 50 of them there is no way they can all be functional for more than 5 minutes together have you seen this nation)

- delaware makes the seating chart every year. he's gotten stuck with the task every year since 1977😭

- sometimes, del will purposely put states that hate each other next to each other (one year michigan and ohio got placed next to each other and absolutely no one survived that car ride.)

- alabama drives his signature red 1979 ford f-150 pickup truck that he manages to stuff 4 people in. (it's usually himself, mississippi, arkansas, and tennessee)

- a LOT of fights and arguments happen during these trips.

- a state or two usually ends up walking or gets dumped on the side of the road due to a fight lol

- one year north carolina, south carolina, north dakota and south dakota all went together and it DID NOT end well. multiple bones were broken and harsh words were said. just be glad the virginia's weren't added to the mix.
