Texas woke up to his dads happily taking pictures of him and his baby sister havin a lil snuggle.

"G'morning," Texas said hazily.

"Good morning Tex, when'd you take California?" Mexico asked.

"Oh, I had a bad dream so I went to find you, but you were all sleeping in Californias room. You all were suuuuper asleep, but Cali was awake so I took her so her wouldn't be lonely," Texas said.

"Awww, that's so sweet of you!! Well, Canada and I made breakfast, so wash up to eat," America said. Texas nodded enthusiastically, and Mexico took California, who was still sleeping.

During Breakfast, Texas was dismayed to see that California was just being feed stuff from a bottle.

"Why can't her have pancakes?" Texas asked.

"She shouldn't be eating that stuff until she's ready. For now, just baby formula... maybe we can try giving her puréed fruits soon," America said, while holding Californias bottle as she just chilled out and drank her noms.

After breakfast, the adults were talking and having fun, and Texas took his sister. Suddenly, Jack, his pupper, started following him.

"We're goin on a adventure together Jackie!! Look, it's the baby!" Texas exclaimed, holding California for Jack to sniff. Jack was happy to be able to sniff the baby, because the adults were always too tall for him to reach her when she was in their arms. California was giggling happily and trying to wiggle out of her swaddle. Texas decided he'd let her out of it later though, because her being the size and shape of a football made her easier to carry. Texas grabbed his satchel, put Californias baby bottle full of formula in it, some extra diapers and baby wipes for good measure, and some candy for himself.

And with that, he was off.

"Hey... where's Cali?" Canada asked.

"With Texas," America said sleepily.

"And where's Texas?" Canada asked.

".... SHI-,"

"Isn't nature nice Cali? Plants are pretty cool," Texas said as they walked through the park. Suddenly, Texas saw Philip on top of the play tower thing. What are those even called?

"Hi Philllllll!!!!!" Texas exclaimed. However, he was surprised to see Philip simply frown at him. "What's wrong?" Texas asked.

"We haven't hung out in YEARS! I thought you said the baby wouldn't get in the way of us hanging out!" Philip exclaimed.

"She still won't! C'mon, adventure with me!" Texas exclaimed. Philip sighed.

"Fine, but me and baby still aren't friends," Philip said. California was trying to figure out why it hurt to eat her hand. Texas and Philip were hanging out in the park, when Philipa walked up to them.

"Texas? Where's your fathers?" Philipa asked.

"At home," Texas said happily. Suddenly Puerto Rico ran up to them, breathing heavily.

"I-I.... Saw you.... When riding my bike.... I called Ame.... STOP RUNNING AWAY FROM HOME," Puerto Rico panted.

"But-,"

"No! Come with me," Puerto Rico said, dragging Texas to his bike. They got in the cool bike carriage thing I talked about. It looks like this:

They're really cool and fun when the carriage is attached properly, and wasn't thrown on in a rush.

It's less fun when, in the middle of a bike ride to get the kids you babysit home safely, the carriage detaches and tumbles off of a small ledge into the unfortunately unaccessible creek below.

So... needless to say Puerto Rico was freaking out.

Texas held Cali close, protecting her head and rolling into the fetal position. Luckily, the fall wasn't too tumble-ish, and the most Texas got was a scratched elbow, and Cali a small startle.

"I'm ok!!" Texas called.

"Texas! How's the baby?!" PR exclaimed frantically.

"She's ok! Just scared!" Texas exclaimed.

"I'm calling help to get you out ok?? Just stay calm!" PR exclaimed. Texas neglected to point out that PR was probably the one who needed to stay calm. While PR was busy frantically yelling at the emergency services operator that there were kids in need of saving, Texas was trying to calm his sister, when suddenly... he noticed something lurking towards him...

"Ohhhhhhh shoooooot.... A coyote...," Texas said. The coyote might've taken offense to this, seeing that she was actually a wolf, however she continued to approach them. Texas backed up, but Cali, being the baby she quite literally is, cried like her life depended on it. To Texas's surprise, the wolf slowed her approach, tilting her head slightly. She walked up to them, Texas frozen in fear.... And she laid next to them. Texas looked at California, who's crying faded, but was still whining out uneven, shaky breaths. The Wolfs breathing seemed to parallel this, and Texas noticed blood splotched onto the wolfs thick fur.

"Hello miss, are you hurt?" Texas asked. The wolf rested her head on his knee, and he stroked it. He knew wolves were dangerous, and their teeth could cut into him and kill him in an instant, however this one simply sighed, her breathing steadying in synchronization with Californias fading cries. Texas looked over in the distance, and saw the rest of the wolves pack. He saw only three wounded pups, and a still male wolf.

"I'm sorry, mamá coyote," Texas said softly. The wolf didn't seem to care that he once again called her a coyote. Californias cried softened. Suddenly, a fireman approached Texas, the other firemen up above suspending a ladder to get them up to safety.

"Hey bud, are you and your sister ok?" The firman asked. Texas looked up at him.

"Mhm, please make sure the mamá and her babies are okay. Her babies are over there. I think the papá is gone," Texas said.

"Let's get you to safety first-,"

"No, they're hurt," Texas said.

"Bud-,"

"I'm not leaving if I don't know they're safe," Texas insisted. The firefighter looked down at the dying mother, and her children struggling to crawl to her. He picked up his walkie-talkie.

"The zoo still has an animal rehabilitation center? Perfect, I'm gonna need some more support,"

Texas was playing with California in the living room, when America sat down with them and happily showed them pictures Australia sent him of the mamá wolf with her two surviving pups.

"How did you manage to stay calm? How did the wolf trust you?" Mexico asked in awe, still not quite able to believe what had happened. Texas smiled.

"Calis magic is developing! She told the mamá we were waiting for help too, and she waited with us!" Texas exclaimed. America sighed and smiled.

"At least you two are finally getting along.... Please be careful with her," America said. California giggled, and Texas nodded.

"Uh-huh! Cali is the coolest magic warrior princess ever!"
