《Tiny Texas Time!》Yay!!!!

While the kids were having their fun, the adults were sitting in the fancy living room drinking fancy wine like fancy people.
"So Neth, how's Holly with her new baby brother?" The Philippines asked. I realized that since Philip is Philip, Philippines can't be Philip, so Philippines is now a woman and her nickname is Philipa and yeah.
"They're getting along ok. Holly is a shy girl, and doesn't seem fully comfortable holding Nathan yet, however other than that, I think she's fine with having a sibling," The Netherlands said. Everyone continued talking about babies and how they're pretty chubby and small, and most parents find that endearing, however Brazil noticed Mexico was acting fidgety. So, he pulled him off to the side.
"Are you alright?" Brazil asked.
"Yeah, I've just... been thinking," Mexico said.
"...About...?" Brazil prompted.
"I... I think that maybe... maybe it'd be nice to have another baby using my dna this time, but... I dunno if that's... I mean... I love Texas, and I don't want...,"
"Let me just try and say what I think you might be trying to say; You think it would be nice to have another child, and use your sperm this time for the surrogate, however you are afraid it might be interpreted as you not feeling as connected to Texas because you aren't directly his father? Does that sound accurate?" Brazil asked.
"Pretty much... I always felt like a bit of a fraud in my marriage, and always worry I'm not a true father to Texas, even though I love him, and what if having a child with my sperm will... completely divide the family...?" Mexico said.
"Um... I feel as though that is a bit extreme. I mean, Chile, your sister, was the surrogate, so even though you aren't the biological father, Texas still shares your family's dna and looks a lot like you anyway. If the surrogate mother you use for any future child is from America's side of the family, America will have shared traits with that child as well even if you're the doner, so it probably won't divide your family at all. It might even make it closer," Brazil said.

"That sounds like a sweet possibility... You know how catastrophizing my mind can be... heh... I think I'll talk to Ame about it," Mexico said. Brazil smiled and nodded, and suddenly the kids were storming the house because they were bored of playing outside.
"I'm a superhero now!!!" Philip exclaimed, wearing a blanket as a cape.
"I'm his cowboy sidekick!" Texas exclaimed.
"NO! We're equals! You're my cowboy... uh... what's another term for a sidekick which is more equal?" Philip asked.
"Partner," Texas said.
"Yay! We're partners now for life! I saved his life and he gave me a handkerchief," Philip said, holding up the microfiber eyeglass cloth Texas gave him.
"That's great honey! I'm glad you two are friends," Philipa said.
"IMMA KILL YOU ONE DAY TEXAS!!" Tito exclaimed. The adults were understandably confused and concerned.
"Tito, that is no way to talk to your friend!" Italy exclaimed.
"Va bene papà! We're nemesises!" Tito exclaimed.
"Yeah!" Texas exclaimed, because you always gotta look out for your enemies, because if you don't, who else would plot against you?
"Ok, ok, well, come with me Texas, your dad is heading home soon and is bringing Mcdonalds," Mexico said, picking Texas up.
"Yaaaay!!! Bye Philip! Bye Tito! Bye everyone else! Thanks for inviting me Señor Japón!" Texas exclaimed.
"Byeeee!!!!!" Philip exclaimed.
"Arrivederci!" Tito exclaimed.
Soon, Texas and Mexico got home, and waited for America to get home too. They decided to wait in the front yard for him, so they could greet him as he drove into the driveway. Also they got one of those cool yards that are completely gated, even the driveway. Also, they're rich, so they have those cool gates that open when you press a button. Idk if those things are actually very expensive, but I only know rich people who have those so meh, and my driveway is not gated.

Anyway, my terrible way of describing stuff aside, America pulled into the driveway, and made sure the gate was closed behind him before he opened the car door for reasons that will be apparent in a moment.
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!" Texas exclaimed, running over to his dad and giving him a big hug. Mexico followed, and gave America a kiss.
"Hey hon, how was the party?" America asked.
"It was nice, Texas made some new friends," Mexico said, smiling down at the little cowboy.
"That's great! Speaking of new friends... Mex, pleeeeaaaaseeee don't kill me, but...," America said, opening the back passenger door of his car. Immediately after, a Jack Russell Terrier jumped out, excitedly checking out his new home.
"PUPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYY!!!!" Texas exclaimed, beginning to play with his new pupper friend.
"Wow," Mexico said sarcastically, smiling at America.
"Soooorrrrrryyyy, but a coworker's dog gave birth and I just had to have one!" America exclaimed. Mexico laughed, and the two of them happily watched Texas and the dog playing in the dirt, as kids and dogs do.
"Y'know... I actually wanted to talk to you about... maybe adding onto the family in different ways...? Like... y'know....," Mexico said earnestly.
"... Mex... are you asking for another child?" America asked.
"O-Only if you want to! I'm sorry, I didn't mean... um... if I sounded unhappy I didn't mean to... I love this family we have, and just Texas is fine with me, but I also... If you want-,"
"No, No, I understand! I didn't mean to seem like I wasn't ok with it! I actually wanted to ask the same thing, I'm just a bit worried that It might be a bit much to handle. I have to go to work from 9 to 5, and I'd hate to put all of the responsibility on you," America said.
"D-Do you think I can't handle it?"
"No, that's not what I'm saying, I'd just... feel really bad... I think I might get some time for paternity leave... and we'd have to find a surrogate... let's think on it, ok? we'll talk before bed... And I want to be clear that I am 100% on board with having another child. You are an amazing father, so I'm not too worried, I just want to be there for you too. Especially with the first few months...," America said.
"I think whoever the surrogate is should stay with us a bit after the baby is born, for nursing, and maybe they could help us out as well," Mexico said. America smiled and nodded.
"We'll figure it out," America said.
"Papá! Dad! I'm naming him Deputy Jack Daniel after that funny bottle you won't let me drink from!" Texas exclaimed from a distance. His dads laughed.

The Exodus Project
This is the original version of Origin before I rewrote it. It's much more simpler, some names and personalities are a little different. THere's nowhere near as much back story or character development/interaction. But the story is essentially at the end of book one. I wrote this 15 odd years ago, and with a bit of polish it doesn't look too bad. The story like Origin is about a group of college students who find a ship that is the last remnant of an ancient human space faring civilisation, they fix her up and go back into space. Along they way they'll meet alot of aliens, religious fundamentalists and conmen.
