《Tiny Texas Time!》New Friends?

(Btw the other kids in this chapter are basically just gonna be kids. Like, they are the kids of the countries themselves, but they aren't 'ship kids', nor are they a province or irl place like Texas.

I just felt this would be easier and less out of my range of expertise, because I feel like Texas being Ame and Mex's kid makes sense, but in the case of Japan... like, where would I point to and be like "Yeah that place is probably your kid because uhhhhh reasons,", and I also didn't want to set the precedent that the countries kids were their capitals or whatever, because y'know.

So yeah, the other kids are basically just kids, and their names are based on their parent country (except for one kid, Holly, because I figured for the Netherlands child I can use a 'H' name because Holland so idk, suck it?))

Texas and Mexico were hanging out in Mexico's art room, doin a art.

"Papá? How do I paint a eagle?" Texas asked.

"Hm? Oh, like this," Mexico said, holding Texas's hand and guiding him in painting a golden eagle.

"Why does it look all brown?" Texas asked.

"Huh? Oh, sorry... you meant a bald eagle," Mexico said, letting go of Texas.

"No, it's ok, is there more than one eagle?" Texas asked. Mexico smiled and nodded.

"Yes, your dad's favorite bird is a bald eagle, mine is a golden eagle," Mexico said. Texas smiled.

"I like both then," Texas said. Mexico smiled, and helped him finish painting one half of the eagle as a golden eagle, and the other half as a bald eagle.

"So Texas, Japan was hosting a playdate at his house tomorrow! Nekomi will be there, and also a few other kids! Doesn't that sound fun?" Mexico asked.

"No!" Texas exclaimed cheerfully.

"Huh? Why not?" Mexico asked.

"Because I wanna hang out with you!" Texas exclaimed. Mexico smiled.

"Well, you get to hang out with me more often since I'm gonna be home a lot more now... but wouldn't it be nice to make some friends?" Mexico asked.

"I dunno...," Texas said.

"They are all your age! Will you at least go for a bit? If you want to go home, I promise I'll take you home right away," Mexico said.

"Hmmmm...... Okkkkkaaaaaaay but they aren't allowed to make fun of me," Texas said.

"Huh? Why would they do that?" Mexico asked.

"Because sometimes kids are mean... that's why I wanna be a cool adult like you and dad!" Texas exclaimed. Mexico sighed.

"Yeah... well, I'll let Japan know we'll be there," Mexico said.

The next day, they arrived at Japan's house. Texas made sure to wear his best cowboyin attire, including his slightly too-big hat, and his toy gun was stuffed in his pocket just in case.

"Hello you two, come on in! The kids are in the backyard, go say hi!" Japan exclaimed. Texas smiled, but nervously gripped onto Mexico's hand.

"Go on mi vida, have fun!" Mexico said, urging Texas towards the open backdoor. He could hear kids playing, and still was a bit nervous. He wasn't sure if they would like him.

He walked in the backyard to see five other kids, one he knew was Nekomi, and another he recognized as Brazil's son Bruno. Yeah, I know.

"Hello Texas!" Nekomi called.

"Hello!" Texas exclaimed.

"I like your eyepatch!" A boy exclaimed, who was wearing dark sunglasses and a fancy button-up shirt.

"I like your Gafas de sol!" Texas exclaimed.

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!!!! YOU WANNA FRIGGEN GO!?!?!?!!!!!" The boy exclaimed.

"Uh oh," Texas said. The kid ran up to Texas, planning on throwing a punch, but suddenly another boy got in between them and knocked the other one down.

"HE COMPLIMENTED YOU, IDIOT!" The boy exclaimed.

"Oh! Ok! Thank you! My name is Italo, but don't call me that," The other boy exclaimed happily.

"Ok! I'm Texas! What do I call you?" Texas asked.

"Tito!" Tito exclaimed.

"And I'm Philip! I like your hat!" Philip exclaimed.

"Thank you! Imma cowboy," Texas said. Philip gasped.

"Really?! That's so cool!" Philip exclaimed.

"WELL, I'm a criminal mastermind!" Tito exclaimed.

"Oh really?" Texas said challengingly.

"YEAH!!!" Tito exclaimed.

"Can I be a magical cat girl?" Nekomi asked.

"Uh huh! Can I be your sidekick?" another girl asked.

"Yeah! This is Holly, and she's gonna be... uhhh....," Nekomi said.

"She should be a mouse-girl-magic thing!" Texas exclaimed.

"But I thought Cats don't like mouses?" Holly asked.

"Yeah, but Nekomi does!" Texas exclaimed.

"Yeah! Here's a magic wand for you!" Nekomi exclaimed, giving Holly a stick.

"Yay!"

"What about you Bruno?" Tito asked.

"....Uh.... I feel compelled to say I'm a psychic," Bruno said. Yeah, this is fan service. I know Encanto didn't take place in Brazil but like if I made Colombia have a kid named Bruno who wanted to be a psychic that's just a bit tooooo obvious... maybe if y'all don't hate the country's kids idea I'll add Colombia's kid and name em somethin cute like 'Cami'

"Cool! What about you Philip?" Texas asked.

"Uh... oh... I dunno," Philip said.

"Well, you need to think of something!" Nekomi exclaimed.

"He can be a cowboy with me!" Texas exclaimed.

"NO! HE WANTS TO BE MY PARTNER IN CRIME!" Tito exclaimed.

"No! He wants to be a cowboy!"

"CRIMINAL!"

"COWBOY!"

"CRIMINAL!"

"SHUSH!" Philip exclaimed. "I will decide who I'll join later, after we find the missing treasure!" Philip exclaimed.

"Huh?" Texas said.

"Philip lost his toy frog before you got here, we have been looking for it everywhere," Nekomi whispered to Texas.

"Ohhhh...," Texas said, before smiling triumphantly.

"Don't worry Philip! I'll find your treasure!" Texas exclaimed.

"NO I WILL!!!" Tito exclaimed.

"How about this! If Texas finds it, I'll be a cowboy. If Tito finds it, I'll be a criminal. Fair?" Philip said.

"Fair," Texas said, him and Tito shaking hands.

"Be warned cowboy... I do what it takes to get what I want...," Tito snarled. Texas just smirked. He knew this crook was no match for a cowboy such as himself.

dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun

ok thats it for rn

(Idk if I should've written the countries kids to be their capitals or something. I personally find the way I wrote it this chapter to be more digestible because it's like "Oh yeah, they are just their kids," however if y'all think it makes more sense to make their kids be actual places lmk)
