*Californias POV*
I was relaxing on Texas's couch, just scrolling through my phone, when suddenly I get a text... from Yorkie...
NY: Cali? You there?
C: what do you want
NY: I want to apologize.... and request that you don't forgive me
C: what?
NY: Cali... I was so stupid and desperate... I forced you to date me, and now I realize why you cheated. You didn't love me. Not because you're a ho, or a slut, but because you actually love Texas... naturally. Not like the twisted 'love' I forced you to be a part of. I understand if you don't forgive me, I just wanted to apologize
C: well shit, took you long enough. Look, I don't really forgive you... but you were my best friend, and I know your a good person deep down. I need some time away from you, but just know that I don't hate you ok?
NY: ok.. sorry again
C: no problem
I put my phone down and sigh... Things are finally getting better. And so...
"Tex!" I call. Texas walks in from outside, speckles of paint on his face and clothes. We've been renovating his garden, and he decided to repaint the fence.
"Hey Cali, everything ok?" He asks. I smile.
"What do you say we go to the bar to watch the game tonight? I hear the big soccer game is going on," I ask.
"Sure! Sounds like fun!" Texas exclaimed.
That night, we go to the bar, and immediately run into a group of southern states.
"Tex! How've you been bud?" Alabama exclaimed.
"Good! Oh, this is my boyfriend Cal, but I'm sure y'all already heard," Texas said.
"By god, did we. California, I'm so sorry for all those rumors and all the hate flyin your way, y'all didn't deserve all that," Tennessee said.

"No worries, I'm used to it," I say
"Hey look! Mexico's on TV!" Someone exclaimed. I notice Texas look forlornly at the TV.
"Man, it's been a while since I've seen him," Texas said. I nod, sighing.
"We were his most rebellious states Huh?" I say. Texas chuckled.
"Could be... I wonder what he'd think of us now," Texas said.
"I heard him and Ame made up... and made out," Alabama said, some states chuckling.
"Wait, really?" Texas exclaimed.
"Well yeah! I mean, nobody expected you and Cali to get together either!" Georgia exclaimed. Me and Texas exchanged looks... both of our countries... together? And I thought our relationship was shocking!
"If y'all wanna see for yourself, I hear they're throwin an after party for the teams! America is inviting his states!" Alabama said.
"Huh... wanna see Mexico again?" I ask. Texas smiles.
"Sounds like fun!" He exclaimed.

Celestial Botany
Erica Moore was offered the chance of staying herself during her next life, but decided that an unknown cost was too high a price to pay. In trying to get some peace from Faustian bargains, she accidentally got herself stuck outside the cycle of reincarnation. Aided by an eccentric gardener-goddess and armed with lifetime of stories, Erica will have to earn each new life. She will need to navigate identity as each new life changes her, and if she wants an overpowered reincarnator cheat ability, she will need to build it herself. The concept for this story was influenced by Vladerag’s The Many Lives of Cadence Lee, QuietValerie’s Ryn of Avonside, and the relentless stream of new worlds that my brain dumps on me. Inertia
A man is summoned to another world by a goddess after completing the nigh impossible final boss of a game. However, this world isn't your typical fantasy world. Though it has magic, it is set far into the future where technology reigns, and magic itself is just a finely-tuned science. How will our hero survive in a galaxy that looks down upon humans? One where his race, which once reigned supreme, is treated like trash along the roadside. Will he, with his diverse crew, be able to save the galaxy while fixing the hostility between the races?
