(Idk if anyone will read this story but I like it so I'll keep writing it)

*Californias POV*

I wake up the next day, seeing a different room... I hate to admit how often that happens. However, this time I'm alone... just me... it's almost saddening.... I go downstairs, subconsciously still hugging the pillow I cuddled with all night, seeing Texas in the kitchen making bacon and eggs.... ugh, he already ruined my fast once....

"Mornin Cal! How're ya feelin?" Texas asked.

"Shit," I said... that's rude I guess, but I don't bother telling lies anymore.

"Aw, I'm sorry... here, have some bacon, it fixes everything," Texas said. I really don't want to... but he's being so nice and I don't want another person thinking I'm nothing but a bitch.

"Thanks," I say, Texas serving me a plate. We sit down to eat, and it's oddly silent. But I don't really want to talk anyway... but it's way too quiet...

"So, should I text New York and tell him you're ok?" Texas asked.

"Hm? Why?" I ask. There's no way New York is concerned, he's probably still asleep on Delaware's floor.

"Well, I'd think your boyfriend would wanna know where you went," Texas said.

"We're not dating," I say.

"Oh... I assumed you were since... well...," Texas said. I sigh.

"...I was just drunk," I say. Texas nodded.

"Does that... happen often?" Texas asked.

"Why do you think people call me a slut?" I say.

"I see... I don't think I could sleep with just a random friend... not that I think you're weird it's just... I dunno...," Texas said.

"It doesn't matter to me, I just like the attention," I say.

"But doesn't it hurt knowing they don't actually love you?" Texas asked. I freeze... shit... there was no hesitation there... and it does hurt. "Sorry! Sorry, my stupid mouth... I'm just sayin I don't think I could sleep with someone if it's not for love... I'm not... I'm sorry...," Texas said. I chuckle.

"Hey, at least you apologize when you say some shit. Most people wouldn't... and yeah, I guess it hurts but... I've never really been in a successful relationship," I say. Texas smiles apologetically.

"Well, I'm sure ya can be! You're a good lookin guy! Have you ever considered girls? Or are you guys only?" Texas asked.

"Guys only, I don't really feel attracted to girls," I said.

"I see, well, good luck, I'm sure you'll find the right guy," Texas said.

"Thanks," I say. Soon Texas drives me back to Dela's house so I can get my purse, and then he drives me home. But before I get out of his car, he hands me two things... a sticky note with his number on it and a check.

"There, for your hospital bill and if you ever need anything else," Texas said.

"Oh! Are you sure? You don't have to-,"

"It's alright, we all need a little help now and then," Texas said. I smile... not a thrilled smile, or a fake smile... a real, grateful smile.

"Thank you," I say. He drives away, and I can't help but stare at his car... "thank you...," I whisper again, before heading back inside.
