《Taming the Rogue》Harms Way

I watched as Harlow hissed when she sat up. I had marked that pretty body of hers all up, and when the blankets dropped from her shoulders, marks were scattered across her skin.
"It's hot in the moment. Not so hot a few hours after." Harlow whined.
I stuck my bottom lip out and cooed to her. "My poor baby."
Harlow tried to stand, but she shifted one wrong way and just laid back down.
"Do you want me to put lotion on your marks?" I raised a brow as I reached for the lotion on the nightstand. I keep it there for non sexual reasons. My skin dries up in the winter.
She nodded her head and a pitiful whimper escaped her lips.
A small smile rested on her lips as I gently rubbed all of the tense muscles in her back as well as putting the lotion carefully over the red streaks and circles scattered around my canvas of her skin.
Harlow hissed as the lotion touched one of the purple marks. "Cold cold cold."
"I know baby. I'm almost done. Later on today we can take a nice hot bath together. Christmas is in two days at least." I pressed a gentle kiss in between her shoulder blades.
"A bath sounds nice." Harlow sighed in relief as I rubbed her sides before tapping the side of her ass so she'd roll over.
I smirked at my work. "This makes me want to take you all over again." I teased.
Harlow whined.
"Don't worry babe. I was just teasing." I giggled.
"So what are we doing for Christmas?" Tate asked me as I sat with Harlow on the couch.
"My family and us are going to throw a party at the restaurant my grandparents own, but we will have our individual Christmas mornings." I answered with a small smile.
"I promised Emily that I'd stop by around one and just hang out with her for a little while. I've told her everything. The wolf thing and what matches are, and she is cool with it all. She just wants to go slow, and I'm okay with that as long as it means she is mine." Tate had a smile on his face that he meant to hide.

"That's adorable." I smiled at him which made his cheeks turn a faint shade of pink.
"Just don't initiate anything other than hugs and conversations. Let her take the steps if she wants to do so. Let her set the pace." For the first time since Tate knew Emily was his match, Harlow actually gave good advice which shocked both Tate and me. "Oh my god, calm down you two. I'm not always an asshole."
"Tell me to calm down again. See what happens." I taunted her, and she immediately regretted her choice of words.
"Sorry Mistress." Harlow looked down at her lap.
Tate came running into the house around one in the morning later on after having the conversation about him meeting up with Emily, completely out of breath and a panicked look was on his face.
"What's going on?" Harlow asked as she stood up and started to take her shirt off, getting ready to shift if need be.
"Something is wrong with Emily. I've got a really bad feeling. It woke me up. When I say something wrong I don't mean a panic attack; I mean she's physically in danger." Tate rushed out.
"You lead the way." Harlow immediately responded and tore her pants off as her brother went back outside and waited for her. "I'll be back. I love you." She kissed my cheek before shifting in front of me for the second time, and holy shit it looked more painful than the first time. I hate that she has to go through all of that pain just to do something that is a necessity for her.
"I love you too." I furrowed my eyebrows in worry as I watched her bolt out the door.
Please be safe.
The sound of the two making themselves known in the woods by their deep howls could be heard across the neighborhood.
Some of my neighbors even turned their house lights on and went outside to look.
Calm the fuck down. If you heard the howl it wasn't meant for you.
Tate led me straight to Emily's house and we immediately smelt something that smelled like rotten flesh. The fuck is that shit?
"Lookie there Emily! Tate came to save you and even brought back up!" A masculine voice taunted behind us and we immediately turned around.

The horrid smell was to mask his. Smart on his part, but he's still gonna die.
Emily had tape over her mouth and tape around her wrists.
"Who. Are. You?" Tate asked in a growl as he took an intimidating step towards him.
"Her boyfriend of course. I came back to take her hone with me in Cali." He chuckled as he nudged her with the gun he pulled out of his waistband. "Don't worry. The bullets aren't for her. They're for you and your twin there." He carelessly gestured to Tate and I with the pistol in his right hand.
We have two options. Charge at him and hope for the best, or me create a diversion. I'd prefer the second one, but if it doesn't work we're fucked. "Fuck Tate, Demi needs to see me. She's having a panic attack." I gave him a look so he knew what I was doing.
Changed my mind. I'm going to sneak up behind him and have Tate pick Emily up and run while I drag the asshole into the woods.
He let me go without thinking and I made sure to make a big loop so he didn't catch onto my plan.
I heard the guy mumble a few words.
"I'm going to sneak up behind him. You pick Emily up in run as I drag his ass into the woods." I mumbled just loud enough for Tate's ears to pick up the sound.
I hid behind the shed that was right behind the guy and Emily before bolting at him and jumping up to grab his neck and snap it.
Luckily I was successful, but I don't know if he is completely dead or not. I can't have him yelling.
My jaws clamped down harder around his neck and I gave my head one good shake for good measure and I heard a more reassuring pop follow my actions.
I then took off into the thick woods with him in my jaws.
Once I got deep enough into the woods I dug my claws into his skin and tore it to shreds, leaving him unrecognizable all the while making it look like an animal attack instead of a human attack. Authorities brush it off quicker if it's an animal attack. They'll look for the animal for a bit, so Tate and I just have to be careful, but after a month or so it all blows over.
I trotted back into the house after washing the blood off in Tate's bathroom in his house.
I let a howl erupt from my throat and waited for my twin to let me know everything was okay.
Within the minute I got a howl back, letting me know everything was okay, including Emily, before heading inside the house.
"Thank god." I heard Demi let out a sigh of relief.
"I've got to keep quiet for a bit with my wolf form in the woods. I tore the guy to shreds to make it look like an animal attack." I shifted before sliding some clothes over my bare body and explained the whole incident in detail, other than the part that I tore him to shreds because that would make her sick.
"I was so worried." Demi engulfed me into a tight hug that I quickly returned. "You need to stop putting yourself in harms way."
I chuckled before speaking. "I am harms way. But with you I'm a softie because you just had to soften me up, didn't you?" I smiled down at her.
"Well of course. It's my job as your girlfriend to calm you down and tame your wild wolf ass." She teased before standing on the tips of her toes to meet my lips that were waiting for hers.
"Damn you." I sighed as I did my best to hide my smile. "I love you."
"Mhm, but I love you more, and if you argue with me about it I will get the cane out." Demi smirked up at me.
An audible gulp from me made her smirk.
"Good girl. Now let's get some sleep. It's four in the morning." She patted my ass before walking away to go to her side of the bed.
I am super hyper right now because I forgot to take my meds, so here is a chapter. 😂

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.

Tom Is Chill
An eye for an eye may make the whole world go blind but at least that f***er can't see either. The early bird gets the worm but I go to the grocery store so screw you. Technically humans don't need to breathe. If no one had any more children everyone would be dead in the next one hundred fifty years probably. Does this count as a synopsis? No? Okay. Tom murders a bunch of dudes. *Tom Dies*. Tom is reborn. Tom doesn't want to be reborn but no one really cares. Tom is born in a new world. He didn't really have to be though. Cause his old world had magic and all. I don't want to give anything away. I swear this fiction is more serious than I am I just find it hard to write a synopsis. Maybe I should write something like this. "Follow Earnheart Super Maximus on his gender-bender super adventures that are exciting and often humorous as he gathers a bunch of chicks for literally no reason." I mean that's what everyone else does and it seems to work.
