《Taming the Rogue》Going for a Run

I was a panting mess as Demi looked down at me with a smirk as I laid down on the bench in her office. School ended two hours ago. Yes, she's been doing this for two hours.
"Is my poor slut worn out?" Demi chuckled lowly and ran the cane-like stick down my stomach.
I nodded my head as I did my best to slow my breathing.
"Use your words or I'll keep going." She sighed in disappointment as she lightly flicked the cane onto my stomach.
"I'm worn out Mistress." I spoke in between pants. Yeah, I'm not going to be breathing right for the next year. I don't know why I try after what we just did.
"I'll give you a minute to gain the feeling back in your legs, because with the amount of shaking you were doing you most definitely cannot feel anything but jello right now." Demi flicked the cane against one of my legs once more before putting it back in her desk drawer.
I watched as she teased me by slowly putting her clothes back on and swaying her hips at every opportunity.

"Tate, did you take my steak I had in the freezer?" I groaned as I swung his mini house door open to see a freshly gutted deer in the shower. "That is disgusting T." I gagged at the smell.
"I didn't mean to grab it's stomach in my jaws. I meant to grab his lungs." Tate mumbled embarrassedly. "But no, I did not take your steak out of the freezer. I have fresh deer meat if you want some. If you want something of your own there are a shit ton of rabbits and foxes out back." He shrugged before turning back to his computer where he was looking up how to properly gut a deer. Go figure. He usually just eats it in the woods and then moves on. But with it being such a big kill, he won't waste that much.

"I'm good. Thanks for the offer though. I'll stick with my steaks." I put my nose into my shirt as if it would make a difference with my sense of smell. "I'm leaving now. Air this place out you nasty ass dog."
I closed the door behind myself before he could make another comment.
Can we go for a walk? Just walk. No run. Just walk?
'No, we are not about to walk the streets in wolf form. I am not about animal control or being shot at. I've dealt with both before.'
Match can walk us.
'That's weird.'
Oh please. You let her fuck you in her teacher office for two hours straight. I think we both know which one is weirder.
'Taking your girlfriend on a walk is definitely weirder.' I rolled my eyes.
In wolf form it isn't. Then it's taking me on a walk and I want to stretch my legs.
'Stop being dramatic and shut the hell up for once.'
"Harlow, I'm going for a run. Will you be okay here alone?" Demi peaked her head out of the sliding back door as I dragged my feet in her direction.
Perfect timing.
'Fuck off already!'
"Harlow?" Demi walked out to me and looked me in the eyes.
"Can you take me with you, but in my wolf form?" My wolf side spoke before I could, and my cheeks were immediately turning red.
"Of course. Everyone needs to stretch their legs sometimes, and us running together would look a little strange anyways, so go ahead and switch and I'll get a harness and a leash." Demi walked back into the house, leaving me speechless.
Told you she'd be cool with it.
'Shut the fuck up dick-wad.' I growled as I walked to my room to take my clothes off before switching.
My bones shifted and cracked as they moved into place while my skin did it's best to rearrange itself over them. I hissed in pain when my hands caught me from face planting as my legs started to shift into their proper position. It's been about a week since I last switched, so I can't switch within ten seconds. Tate switched all the time, so he can do it within two seconds. It's quite incredible honestly.

"Your wolf is so gorgeous." Demi smiled brightly at me as I walked out of my room. I was now about two foot less than human height, so it takes me a minute or two to get adjusted to the difference.
"Thank you." I gave her a smile, but quickly looked down to hide the wolf smile. It's rather creepy. A bit on the life threatening side.
"No need to hide your smile, Harlow. I know the difference." Her speaking made me look back up at her.
I nodded my head once and stood still while she secured the harness around me. It's not my service dog one. It's just a normal one since I'm not going anywhere a dog isn't supposed to.
We got several weird and terrified looks from people as Demi and I matched our pace. She had music blaring in her earbuds. If they were in my ears I'd be crying in pain.
Some people have tried to stop us since they see me, a four foot tall wolf, running perfectly in sync with Demi, but Demi is in the zone. She is moving. Here and there she'll shift into a dead sprint, but then slow down to a trot after a bit.
"Hey Miss Lovato!" A familiar voice called out behind us, and it took everything in me not to stop Demi. That's not a normal wolf thing, Harlow. That's a people thing. "Low!" The same voice called my 'dog' name and I shot them a glance, but kept up my pace.
It's fucking Tyler. The one who likes me even though I am openly gay. I embrace the gay.
He ran up to Demi and patted her shoulder, so once she turned around I stepped beside her and looked up at Tyler with pure annoyance. Fucking dick.
"What the f-, oh hey Tyler. How are you?" Demi asked out of breath and squeezed my scruff as a warning for me to behave.
"I'm good." He gave her a smile before asking the question I saw coming from the beginning. "How is Harlow?"
I looked down to roll my eyes before looking back up at him.
Demi squeezed my scruff for either comfort as as a 'here we go again' kinda thing.
"She is good. A bit sore after running laps in detention." Her voice was so fake that it was taking everything in me not to laugh. Sure, we'll say it's because of the laps.
"Oh well, I hope she feels better tomorrow. Tell her to text me if you can. Have a good day Miss Lovato!" He pet the top of my head before running back to his group of people.
Demi turned back around and tugged on my leash a bit to get me to turn back around and walk. "He fucking touched me." I growled as I looked down at the concrete sidewalk.
"Yeah, and he fucking told me to tell my girlfriend to text him. Wanna trade?" Demi looked down at me.
I shook my head before we started to run again.
She's getting territorial. This is not good for me. Well, it is good, but after the two hours earlier today I can't take another minute. I'm so sore in between my legs. I can walk, but it's uncomfortable if I'm in my human form.

Book 1 is now available on Kindle, or in paperback/hardcover! You can buy it here! The bad news is they just left one of their own as a sacrifice to appease the beast. No matter what Jack and his AI co-pilot decide, his life just got a lot more complicated... ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.
