《Taming the Rogue》Just Scraping the Surface

"What the fuck are you looking at? I don't care if you're a teacher or not! This is my school bitch!" I heard an incredibly loud and powerful voice coming from the other hallway.

I watched as two male teachers ran past me.

What the hell is going on?

I hesitantly peaked my head around the corner to see a taller, brown headed, heavily tattoed, girl fighting off the two male teachers that just ran down the hall. I know I'm not supposed to say this, but damn is she hot. Her tattoo sleeve definitely compliments her personality though. The detailed wolves printed on her skin was mesmerizing.

"That there is Harlow Luna Rogue. No doubt that she is indeed rogue." One of my new colleagues stood beside me.

"Why can't they just expel her?" I held my bag closer to my chest as I did my best to not cringe at her last comment. So stupid.

"Her family owns the school. Believe it or not her family is actually really nice, her on the other hand." She gestured to Harlow flipping one of the teachers over her shoulder. "Not so much. They've tried to tame her by sending her to military bootcamp and stuff like that, but nothing phases that girl." She ran her hands through her hair. "I'm Daisy by the way. You must be the new teacher replacing the old gym teacher. Demetria I believe?" She stuck out her hand for me to shake.

"Just call me Demi." I shook her hand. "The man who retired was my dad, so I wanted to take his place. He never told me about that wildcard down there though." I nodded over in her direction.

"He didn't have her, but you more than like do." Daisy laughed lightly before walking away.

I don't stand for a child to disrespect a teacher. That will not happen.

I marched down the hallway with a relaxed expression before pushing through the ring of frightened students.

"Enough!" I snapped at her, but she didn't stop.

So in return I grabbed her collarbone and pulled her off of the poor guy and pinned her to the lockers. Luckily I fight on the side, and I definitely have the strength to hold her.

"When I say enough, I mean enough." I growled at her.

She struggled to get out of my grip, but suddenly she stopped, smirked at me, and then just went limp.

I wasn't ready to hold her weight up, so she slid out from my grasp with ease.

She went to go hit me when she got back up, but I grabbed her wrist before it even got close to me.

The whole place went silent.

"You may think you are big and bad Harlow, but you haven't met me." I smirked.

"I know you from somewhere." Harlow's turned confused and I watched as it quickly went back to her stone cold glare.

"Way to try and distract me." I chuckled at her acting. "Now, if I hear about you hurting anyone else, you will be running laps in my class. Got it?" I tilted my head slightly and had my famous glare on.

"Yes ma'am." Harlow whispered before relaxing against my restraint.

"Good girl." I smirked at her before walking towards the gym. That was a little bit kinky sounding, but it wasn't my intention honestly.

"How in the hell?" One of the male teachers who she just flipped whispered to no one in particular.

This has already been a weird first day. I've had people tell me to worry about Harlow because she'll kill me, people try to steal my lunch, Harlow glaring at me, and now to top it off when I walked out of my office I saw the tall brunette throw some guy against the wall while one girl was hysterically crying behind her for protection. Everyone else in the gym was acting as if Harlow wasn't on the verge of killing someone.

"Harlow, come here!" I growled and she immediately froze up, but when she saw the guy go after the girl who was using Harlow as a shield she quickly snapped out of it and rammed him back into the wall and held him by the collar of his shirt.

"Don't you ever touch her again, got it?" I could hear her growling from all the way on the other side of the gym as I ran over to the girl who was crying while Harlow held the guy off as if it was a daily routine.

"Go to my office sweetheart. I'll come and get you." I pointed in the direction of my office and waited till she was almost there before telling Harlow to let go of him. "Harlow, let him go now." I spoke in a less stern tone, since I now know that she was protecting the girl.

"Why? He tried to rape her in the bathroom, and when I dragged him out he still tried to get to her." Harlow reared back and punched him in the jaw, earning a loud crack in return.

"I need you to let him go Harlow, so I can take him to the office where he will be charged with sexual harassment and assault." I put my hand on her right shoulder and she tensed up.

"If anyone pressed charges I would be put in danger of being put in prison, so I'll handle it. Thanks for the offer though, teach." I heard her scoff under her breath as the smirk on her lips grew larger.

I wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her off of him.

"Let me go!" Harlow fought against my grip, but she obviously held back. She could've beat the shit out of me if she wanted to.

"No Harlow. Relax." I held her to me and took a few deep breaths. "Match my breathing."

She took a deep breath and then another till she successfully matched my breathing. I know this is a bad time, but I'm holding the hottest person alive right now, and holy shit her stomach is rock hard.

Everyone was dead silent as I calmed 'The Rogue' as everyone calls her.

The guy was in too much shock to try to run away, but I was quick to call some help while I kept Harlow calm.

"Code Harlow, but this time Harlow was doing the saving instead of the fighting." I spoke into the walkie talkie and then started to whisper to Harlow. "You're okay. I know you don't mean harm."

"I am stone cold." Harlow growled.

"That might work for everyone else and you might've fooled yourself, but me... I see right through your bullshit. You're not as cold as you believe Harlow." I carefully rocked us back and forth. "Let's go to my office."

"Okay," Harlow whispered.

When we got in there the girl Harlow protected was sobbing on the couch.

Harlow didn't know how to react, so she just stepped aside and let me handle it before guarding the door, at least that's what it seems like, to ease the girl's nerves.

A rapid knocking on the door made the girl and I jump, while Harlow didn't even flinch at the man who was swinging my office door open.

"What did I tell you about getting into fights?" The Dean, Harlow's father, roared and slapped her on the cheek. Not just a little tap. A whole reared back and followed through after making contact kind of slap.

I want to do something, but I also don't want to lose my job. As a teacher it is my job to protect my students, but what in the hell am I supposed to do in a situation like this?

"I apologize for her actions Miss Lovato. Please let me know if it happens again." He turned to me with the same gentle smile I have always seen him with. That shifty bastard.

"She was protecting the girl. I called help so someone could take the guy while I handled these two since I had it under control. I did not call for help so you could hit an innocent child. If you don't believe me when I say she was you can look at the footage, but she was protecting her." I stared him down without emotion. Passive aggressiveness activated.

"Miss Lovato, she cannot go about throwing people around, literally." He sighed and shook his head as he grabbed Harlow's upper arm.

"I understand that, but if she wasn't there the girl would've gotten raped." Harlow gave me pleading eyes for some reason, and deep down it made me worry about what is truly going on.

"She should've just went and gotten you." He gave me a fake smile and I heard Harlow wince.

I looked over to see his knuckles turning white from gripping her arm so tightly. "If she waited that long he would've already started when I got back, which would damage this poor girl for the rest of your life. I apologize Mr Rogue, but I believe she is a hero in this situation."

"Heroes don't go about throwing people for fun. Do they Harlow?" He gave Harlow his fake smile.

"No Sir." Harlow mumbled as she looked at the floor. What the fucking hell?

"Exactly, now if you have any further problems with Harlow let me know and I will handle it. Now as for you, come with me sweetheart. Let's get you taken care of and him expelled." Mr Rogue put the same smile I have known all of these years back on.

He took the girl under his arm after letting go of Harlow's arm and left my office.

Harlow looked at me with a softened expression, but bolted out of my office when I returned the look with a small smile.

What did I just get myself into?
