A whole year A WHOLE FUCKING YEAR. I have been married to the lying and cheating bastard that I have to call husband. A few months after we got married I found him in bed with someone else and it broke my heart. I loved him . Somehow somewhere I leaned to love him and I was mad at myself for that. I couldn't love him I was just something he used to get what he wanted or that's what he told me.

Flashback

"How could you?! After all the things you could've done you cheated on me! Don't you even care for my feelings at least a pinch? You are really a Ba-"

"ENOUGH! Listen to me and listen very carefully I don't care about you or about your stupid feelings you were just something I used to get what I wanted and I could care less about what you think. So, if you want to leave do it, just remember I keep everything you think you own"

"You bastard I FUCKING hate you I hope you rot in hell! I hate you! I fucking HATE you!" I said with tears streaming down my face.

"Are you done?! because I have places to be" he said unmoved by my tears. And at that moment I understood why it hurt me so much.

I loved him, I loved my husband but I also understood that he would NEVER feel the same way. He was a man made of stone.

A week has gone by since I discovered I was pregnant, and more symptoms are showing up. For Example, this morning when the smell of eggs made me sick yet I still had a stack of pancakes and lots of bacon and let me tell you I hate bacon.

The next day after I was released I went to a clinic to confirm pregnancy I mean I couldn't believe it. I told my doctor about all of the tests that I took and she said that some procedures were not conducted correctly like they should. She said that my baby could've suffered the consequences if I had gotten an infection.

After hearing all of this I was more convinced that the right thing to do was leave. I convinced Diana to tell me where we were headed and after some persuasions with my home-made cookie she told me.

So at the end of the month which is now a week away, we will be leaving to New York where her cousin offered us a place to stay. That worried me, and no it was not the fact that I din't know him believe me, I could defend myself perfectly. I was worried about the fact that Michael had some unfinished business there.

Flashback

I was walking down the hall to Micheal's study. I never went there but after waiting for him at dinner for about an hour I decided to go to his office to confirm our plans for tomorrow. I knocked on the door and went on after I heard a "Come in" from him. I sat down at one of his chairs while he was talking on the phone

"Yes ,Yes I will be there.Of course at what time....Ok I will tell my Secretary to double check everything Ok bye." And with that he hung up his phone. He looked very tired so I decided to ask. "Is everything alright? "

"Yes, everything is fine. I may be gone for a couple of days. "

" If you don't mind me asking, where too?"

"New York"

"Oh,when do you leave? "

"Tomorrow after we go to the doctor's appointment ."

Of course things didn't go as planned and now I'm here. I don't know if he left which I doubt I mean the slut showed up so I don't think he went.

Diana has been trying to convince me to tell Micheal but of course I ignored her.

Like I told her if he didn't stay faithful to me so what makes me think he will to my little jelly bean? I want what is best for him or her so and right now I want us to be stress and worry free.

When we arrived in New York we took a cab to Diana's cousins apartment.

Her cousin couldn't pick us up since he was working, but he will arrive later with dinner might I add.

Seeing the inside of his penthouse was incredible. The whole scene was breathtaking. He had very good taste because his apartment looked like it was taken out of a magazine. The first thing you saw when you came in was the living room that had a glass wall, to the left was a stair case that went up in a spiral motion to the right, a white door was placed I presumed it lead to the kitchen.

My room was as incredible and the closet was huge just like the restroom. The walls were painted a light purple giving it a homey feel and I loved it!

By the time I was done unpacking and taking a nap it was dinner time. I lazily made my way to the living room were Diana was sitting with a fine piece of meet. He was muscular, very very muscular with light brown eyes and brown hair he was definitely a womanizer. I could feel it in the aura he was giving away. He got up as he saw me and said "Hey I'm John and you must be Grace. May I say that the name suits you very well." I blushed looked down and said "Thank you"

"Ok ok ok stop flirting in front of me young lady he is my cousin and I want to eat. "

"Oh hush Diana you're just jealous that Logan is not here." answered John

"Ohhh who is Logan?" I said suddenly interested

"Nobod-"

"He's my friend which she has a HUGE crush on, but he's gay."

"Damn I'm sorry D."

"Don't pay attention to him, he is exaggerating I only had a small crush on him when I was younger and when he told me he was gay my bubble burst."

"Aww D I'm so sorry."

"Don't I got over him but John likes to tease me." She said sticking out her tongue.

"Ok Ok enough of you Diana. I want to know about our graceful Grace."

"Ha ha very funny. But since I know everything about Grace I will head of to bed to finish dinner. If you want to get nasty I ask you to be quiet." And she ran off leaving me with a red face. John doubled over in laughter displaying his dimples.

"You should see your face!" He said clutching his stomach.

"Very funny, maybe I should go to bed and finish my dinner." I said with serious face but laughing on the inside.

"No, I'm sorry if I insulted you I didn't mean to" He said worry evident on his face

"You should see your face!" I said laughing.

"You're so mean Gracie."

"Just a little."

"But before you start asking questions there is something you must know."

"What is it?" I was nervous what if he kicked me out?

"I would never kick you out." Did I say that out loud?

"Yes, yes you did."

"Fine. What I wanted to tell you that I'm pregnant."

"It's not mine!" He said a smile on his face.

"I know It's not yours, we just met I just thought you should know. And I understand if you don't want a pregnant girl living under your roof."

"Don't be silly it doesn't bother me at all besides, it's none of my business. And don't thing that is going to stop me from taking you out on a date."

"Wow speedy Gonzales hold on we just met. Besides, that is no way to ask out a woman." I said winking.

"You're right hold on." He said making his way towards the door that I presume led to the kitchen.

I stood up and made my way to the glass wall were you could see all of New York. The lights looked amazing I knew he must pay a fortune to live here.

"Beautiful isn't it?"

"Yes,it's very beautiful and breath-taking"

"You're breath-taking." I blushed. But I knew I couldn't let this continue. I was about to say something but he beat me to it by handing me a red rose.

"I know we just met but I have never met someone like you. I know it may seem fast and I may even get annoying but I can't let this opportunity slip through my fingers. So with that being said will you do me the honor and grant my wish by going on a date with me."

I was going to reject his offer but the look on his eyes made me say "Fine, but only as friends."
