True P.O.V

When the final bell rang, everyone shot up from there seats glad that today's day of school was over.

Unlike them, I remained in my seat while others flooded out. I didn't want to be caught in the swarm of students that were surrounding the hallways and students, which is why I'd wait for a couple minutes before leaving the room. It was my free period and I was in Mrs. Elion's room, she's a teacher who only teachers for 1st and 3rd period, I had her last year but I came in here for her good lighting and quiet room. Other students did the same as me, but it never ended as quiet as I'd like but it was better than some other places in the school, if I wasn't in the library, I was usually in here.

After two minutes I grab my books, stand up, and walk out of the room, after turning the lights off and closing the door behind me where I knew it locked. This door locked if it was closed, and it would remain locked unless someone was in the room, and reopened the door for someone.

I walk towards my locker, seeing students still swarming in the halls, and I even passed Kyle making out with Luke. Kyle was pressed against the lockers with his legs wrapped around Luke's waist. Luke's lips was plastered on Kyle's with his tongue obviously dominating Kyle's mouth. I pass them with a small smirk on my face, glad Kyle had that someone in his life, even though that someone was a obvious sex-addict and was deeply involved in the mafia. But I knew that was the person who just happened to steal my best friends heart, I was glad he had a shoulder, I didn't.

I walk to my locker, unlocking the locker and putting my books back inside since I refused to take my books home in case one of my siblings managed to find them and destroy one of them, they've done it before so I wouldn't put it above them, and I didn't want to pay for another set of school books so I'd rather keep them in my locker.

"You ready?" Kyle asked suddenly appearing beside me, which would usually make me jump, but at this point, it did nothing to me. I turn towards him nodding as I close the locker. He smiles at me, looking me in the eyes as if looking for something before nodding and dragging me down the hallways, Luke following behind.

"You bring your bike?" Kyle asked me, as if I I'd leave it at home. Mom might destroy it, or sell it, that bitch would do a lot of shit to my belongings if she so felt like it. I nod to him, and he smiles at me. "I'm going to go with you." He said it with a smile and looked happy about it but whatever. Let him be happy, it made me feel go on the inside when he was happy.

We walked out of the doors together, Luke eventually branching off towards his own bike with was probably triple the cost of mine, but then again he was rich and had all the money in the world to spend and of course, he'd put it into a very expensive motorcycle. I'd probably buy a one-way ticket away for here but it was his money.

I walk across the seat looking both ways for both me and Kyle's safety, I wouldn't risk Kyle's life for anything, he simply had too much to live for. I, however, would probably jump in front of the car if it would help my situation, though there would be a possibility I could still live which would suck.

I mean who would want to be in a hospital with broken body parts and no one to visit them. That's what it would be like for me, no one would visit, aside from Kyle, and maybe Claire. Maybe.

We walk towards my bike, hopping onto my bike with Kyle behind me, and I heard Luke's bike from across the street and I start my bike as well, Kyle wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head against my shoulder blades, his breath against my tan shirt.

I smile, though I knew no one saw me do it. Smiles weren't something I commonly let other people see, I rather keep my grins to myself. I pulled out into the road and followed behind the bike in front of me with my best friends boyfriend at the wheel, and then we were off to the Clenevence Estate.

It was an extremely calming drive, the wind in my hair, and my best friend close to me, where I could keep him safe and protected from the dangerous and unsafe world that was around us.

Then we went to the most unsafe place probably in the world, the Clenevence Estate, home of the biggest mafia in New York.

I follow Luke into the drive way, halting next to his bike, turning my cycle off and hoping off the bike and pushing Kyle away from my baby, not wanting for him to accidentally find my gun, I wasn't ready for him to know about that side of my life, and hopefully he'd never have to know, I'd die with that secret . . . hopefully. That's one of the few secrets I'd rather die with than having them be revealed, me having guns and harming people in my own self defense was one of them.

Kyle huff's at me before hugging his boyfriend like he hadn't seen him in forever. I was baffled by this behavior, not really understanding why he was acting like that but I've never been in love either so I guess I just don't know.

That's fine with me since I probably won't live to see past my 18th birthday so the chances of me falling in love are slim, and even slimmer since I don't want to fall in love, it makes you weak, makes you worry all the time, become a sappy lovey dovey person. That's shit is fucked up and I don't want to be one of the idiots who fell for it, I wasn't stupid so love wasn't going to be a role in my short lifetime that I have left.

We walk towards the door, Kyle practically hanging off of Luke, but Luke didn't seem to mind, in fact, he seemed to like how clingy his boyfriend was, not that I was going to comment on it, it was their romance, not mine. I might as well keep myself out of it, no matter how much I'd love to figure their love story out, it wasn't my business, so I'd stay out of it, unless Luke broke Kyle's heart, then I'd kill him, regardless of who he is and how many enemies I'd make, no one hurts my best friend. No one.

We walked into there large mansion, not that I was going to gap at it, my house was large to so this was practically nothing, but they still had a large house. We walked into the living room, which was empty, not that I'd expect different, it wasn't like this was a large family, only a few people in the mafia came to this house, they were at the other location, to keep eyes off the mansion and to protect those who live inside its walls.

We sit on the couch turning the gaming system, a PlayStation 4, on and put in Black Ops 2, though the other COD game came out two days ago.

Kyle pulled out three black remotes for the console and handed one to me and Luke, both of us thanking him, which made Kyle beam happily. We turned the tv on and changed it to correct input on the tv and the game popped up on the large tv scene. We logged in, I used Alister's profile not that he should care, but either way, and we decided to play zombies first then multiplayer after. I was great at both, though I didn't play often, since well, I don't have a tv of my own, nor my own console but I knew how to play from days of playing COD and Battleship with Kyle, we did that before him and Luke ever even got together so I had years of time on my hands of playing this game. We decided to play at the farmhouse, since it had a lot of places for zombies to get in, and could be considered the more difficult place of the places you can play in COD zombies. The slow music started as it loaded.

"I'm going to win," Luke said smugly. Kyle looked over at me smirking on the inside, knowing how good I was at COD and zombies but COD in general. He knew I could beat Luke's ass, but decided to not comment and let his boyfriend think we couldn't beat him. I knew Luke didn't necessarily like me, but he knew how much Kyle cherished our friendship, so he was living with my presence at this point, but when it was just the three of us, he wouldn't ignore me, thank god, one thing I hated was being ignored when the other person could talk to me and involve me in their conversation but I've been ignored for so long I'm quietly used to it.

The game loaded and three pop up screens appeared, but each was the size of a 40" inch tv its self. They had a very large tv, just saying.

We all ran to hurry and get guns, and with only 500 points at the start, I got the shotgun like Kyle and Luke. We were doing a team game, meaning we couldn't shot each other but it didn't mean we had to work together. I knew Kyle would probably die more than help but he's gotten better through the years. The first round goes through and were all still alive since the first level is simple and easy but by the time level seven is hitting, we've bought the house, and got to the box, you know the box that gives you random guns. Kyle currently had Silly and Sally, the twin pistols, which he's really good at using, while Luke has a Hamr, and I have a ray gun, but ray guns draw in crawlers and become less effective the further you are in the levels but for now, it's a good gun. That's why I wish they had a pack-a-punch machine at the farm so I could have the upgraded ray gun but it simply isn't in the farm place so whatever.

The further we got into the levels the more we began to stress about how many zombies were appearing, and our ammo kept running thin by the end of the levels and we constantly had to switch guns and hope for max ammo and instakill, which I knife during simply to save my ammunition.

Somewhere in level 14 Kyle went down and neither me or Luke could save him, and he lost his guns when the round was over when he respawned when round 15 began. Kyle got another gun, an RPG which is a gun I personally hate and refused to use, but it was better than him getting a sniper rifle since Kyle can't use one, he sucks at sniping so thank the lords above that he didn't get one of the two that popped up.

In a state of emergency I bought the gun on the wall of the room upstairs near the balcony, since I didn't have time to use the box since it was random and could give me the ballistic knife, which would kill us since Luke was taking more risks and almost died seconds ago and now he was running around with over 20 zombies following him and he was out of ammo and needed me to save him. I bought the gun, though it didn't even dip into the amount of money I have, and ran outside, jumping off the balcony and began to shoot the zombies and they dropped like stones before I had to reload, and shot some more before no zombies remained. Suddenly the pause screen appeared and I looked over to Luke and Kyle and saw Luke gapping at me.

"How?" He asked confused. I didn't understand his question since it was only one word. I look expectingly at him waiting for him to continue since I didn't understand what 'how' meant at this point.

"How are you so good at this game?!" His voice rising with excitement after he realized he finally had someone who could make it past the tenth round.

"I've played this game with Kyle a lot before I guess I just picked up the game, it's easy," I admit before urging him to hit the resume game button which he does baffled still at me.

Kyle respawned and we played zombies for another thirty minutes before switching to multiplayer since Kyle was better at multiplayer than zombies since they didn't have guns and the bots don't get better throughout the game they stay the same, which is something Kyle really appreciates.

We chose the ship map, which is the smallest and put the maximum amount of bots and set two teams. Me and Kyle with two bots v.s. Luke and six bots, unfair not at all, Luke thinks he has the upper hand but he's wrong.

We played for a while then the door opened but we were so enticed by the game to look up and see who it is, but no one can get into the house if they don't have access to it, its probably a mafia worker whose high up in the ranks.

We continued to shoot and someone walked into the room, I sensed there presence.

I shot Luke's character and he dies and lost his last life and our team won.

"Cheater!" Luke accused. I put a hand on my heart as if it hurt me, Kyle's accused me of that too, but I'm honestly just good at the game.

"How am I a cheater?" I asked innocently, and I was innocent but I wanted to either annoy him or piss him off, he was the one who said he'd win and all he's done is fail and beating me and a shooting game.

Luke looked up.

"Allie! Help me, he's a cheater!" Luke yelled like a child to who I realized entered was Alister, who was amusively grinning at his younger brother, who was making fun of himself. I had to admit it was amusing but either way, I wasn't going to laugh out loud at him, it would probably piss him out enough to shoot me in the skull with a handgun.

Alister threw his coat into a chair and sat on the couch, which was a large L shape and sat near the edge, looking at the scene and saw Luke lost.

"I want to play." He stated bluntly. Kyle got up and gave him the last remote and Alister and I switched remotes since I was logged in as him, and signed in as a guest since I didn't want to make myself a profile. We started the round, Luke and Alister with 5 bots v.s. me and Kyle with 2 bots.

The round began and the sound of shootings went off as we enjoyed the game, then I killed Alister who hadn't been killed once. He looked at me surprised but I winked at him as he respawned, he looked as baffled as Luke had been but whatever. I didn't care, I knew I was good at this game. Alister watched his screen more carefully, probably being more cautious than before because my team was currently beating his and Luke's ass. I shot him and Luke within four seconds and they both looked over at me, Alister looked baffled again, since I had just taken his second life out of five and Luke's fourth and what was amazing was that I hadn't died yet. Kyle had died twice but that was less than his 'going to win' boyfriend. He's a loser, and shouldn't brag about winning if he isn't going to.

A couple minutes later Luke was out of the game and it was me against Alister since Kyle had lost to, no more bots remained simply me and him. I was determined to win so I could cheer about it and rub it in Luke's face. I was in the tunnels underneath the boat, which connected one side of the boat to the other in an easy system to get around without the eyes of bots or other players.

I climbed out and ran through the fancier house, the one across from the mission looking room, the one where it looked like they drove the boat. I saw Alister ready to scope anyone on the field. So I ran my character back down to the tunnels and reappeared; in the same house as Alister. I ran up the stairs, not that he'd see me, and was right behind him, and shot him in the head until his character died. He never saw it coming.

The total point screen popped up and Kyle ran to me and hugged me tightly, squealing in my ear.

"We won, we won, we won!" He repeated excitedly. I nod my head, agreeing with his statement. I was smiling outwardly proud I beat the mafia boss in a shooting game. Kyle hugged me again before going back and sitting on Luke's lap and kissing his chin, while Luke pouted about losing, again.

"Shouldn't have bragged," I stated, a smirk clearly plastered on my face. I wasn't afraid for my life, not in the slightest, I was having to much fun to not brag about my success.

I was temporarily proud of myself. Then it disappeared. This wouldn't make my parents proud, or happy. If anything it would make them upset. They're always upset.

No matter what I did, I'd never make them proud of me.

I didn't let that show though, I kept the smile plastered on my face though I knew it was a lie.

Almost every smile was a lie. A false truth, a fake reassurance.

A cover-up of the truth. That my life wasn't as perfect as it seemed to some people. To some people, I have loving parents, live in a large house, am a spoilt brat, had everything I could ever want. Bullshit. They don't know a thing about me. And they can take their assumptions with them, they aren't welcome.

I stayed for a little while longer before seeing it was 6:24 and that I needed to go home. Didn't want my parent's attention on me, I saw Kyle sad that I was leaving but I saw worry in Alister's eyes as if he cared or knew. No one knew how bad it truly is unless they've lived my life or worse because people who think the worst thing in life is a bad hair day need a big fucking reality check.

I walked out of the house, thinking about how much fun I just had. A dull ache was spreading from the belt wounds and the spot on my stomach and it felt like my left leg was on fire from where glass went through it, but I'd live. It wasn't like I'd let a little glass kill me. If I died, it would be because I wanted to. Nothing else. I sigh and get on my bike wishing that this, the fun I had this afternoon, was my reality, no evil parents, nagging siblings, bullies, rapist teacher, none of it, but it was. And it wasn't going to get better, it's not.
