True P.O.V

It's been two days since I was assigned detention and my nerves were jacked because of it.

It was all because who was in charge of detention, you know who he is. Mr. Troy. He knew I had detention soon, I saw in his smile widen, his lust filled eyes that seemed to drift to me in his class, more so that usual, and then there was his wife. She was grinning wider too, especially at me and anyone else I noticed had gotten detention within the last few days.

My detention day is set as November 4th. A Friday.

I had a couple days until then, so my nerves would only grow but I can't change it. I'm glad Chris doesn't know I have detention if he found out he'd beat me to death If he knew why he'd beat Union to death. Maybe. I hope my brother would care enough to protect his brother from sexual abuse. Maybe.

It's Thursday which is an a-okay day I guess I mean you can't hate Thursday. It's too close to Friday and the weekend and far enough away from the beginning of the week.

I was currently in the library. No, I'm not hiding there. I'm getting a couple new books for the weekend cause I doubt I'll go anywhere or even leave my room.

It was tough at home. With Bryan still on team hate True, we simply didn't talk.

Though it may not seem like it, I used to be really close to Chris. He was my big bro, the person I looked up to, regardless that one day he is going to sell and transport guns illegally like dad. Even then when I was little and knew, I looked up to Chris like he was a god. In my eyes, he had been. He was the god of gods, the person I loved more than myself.

Then I blocked him out. When the bullying got worse, I decided I wanted to deal with it myself and refused to tell Chris what was wrong. In less than three months we went from best brothers to avoiding each other. It hurt when that happened. It hurt a lot.

I looked around the school library. Overall I felt safe here, it was a space that I was comfortable, which was a rare place because we all know home didn't fit the bill for safety. I could go to Karins, her house had a more homey feel than mine. But I would never step foot in Kyle's old house, that place sometimes gives me nightmares. I swear that guy would have raped us if Karin and Nika hadn't shown up with the police. And thank god the police didn't know who I was, if they had known I was Jamion Nights son then shit would have gone down, though they probably knew my dad as J-mion. His short name only police seemed to know since they didn't know my father's true identity.

I grab a couple of books that look slightly interesting and checked them out. The nice librarian wished me a good day and I left one of my few safe havens and sighed as I walked towards the stairwell, knowing the next bell was about to ring and I could go home.

Like I predicted, the bell rang and doors slammed open the hallways instantly filling up with my peers as they chattered with each other and swarmed towards their lockers while yelling and laughing. I and a few logically people waited for a couple minutes for the majority of students to walk out so that our lockers wouldn't be surround and I went to my locker.

Enter my combination I open the old beaten door, which had been punched many times by my bullies when they missed my face.

Inside my locker was my more important possessions. No one went inside my locker, I had a very good lock. Inside my locker was 1,000 dollars cash for extreme emergencies, an emergency book- the whole hunger game series and a couple horror novels, I also had a flash drive with all my important files, and a small chrome book; which was my emergency laptop. Like I said emergency stash.

I put my school books into my locker, grabbing my side sack and closed my locker before turning and leaving the school. It was a normal Thursday.

Alister P.O.V 😜

I was waiting for my brother to get home from school with his little boy toy. My life was extremely boring without company.

Sure I had to run a mafia, which could be pretty stressful at times, but even I a mafia boss needed to relax or I'd grow some gray hairs which wouldn't look good on my sexy body.

I was patiently tapping my foot against the ground waiting for my brother. Dear god is this what my life has resulted to? I'm 26 and this is how boring my life is. Pitiful. I decided I'd try to cook some food because good lord waiting is boring.

I have little patience, something I have always had so little of. I couldn't wait for hours, minutes maybe, but hours . . . no.

I had a wonderful kitchen for something I use so little. I wasn't a cooking person. I usually got take out. It was simply easier that way and I didn't put anyone's health at risk. I'm not the best of cooks . . .

I walk towards the fridge and open it to see an assortment of ingredients available to me I then decided to make breakfast because it seemed more simple than other more complex foods.

I pull out eggs and milk out of the fridge and close the metal door. I walk over to my island and lay those two ingredients on the island. I walk over to my cupboard and pull out the instant make pancake mix and move to close the cupboard, but stop when I see cake mix. Cake . . . yummy. I pull that out as well.

I lay those two boxes on the island as well before pulling out pans and oil to cook the food with. I turn the eyes on, I don't have burners, I would probably burn the house down if I did.

I sat the pan on the eye, and walk back over to the fridge and pulled out the tub of butter.

I walk over to the island and open the tub of butter, pulling a spoon out and scooping a spoon full of butter and slam it onto the pan on the eye.

I open a cabinet above the sink and grab bowls and a whisker. I lay the bowls on the table and open the un-opened box of pancake batter. I pour the mix into the bowl, reading the ingredients and put those ingredients and grabbed the medium-sized whisker and whisked the eggs, milk, and pancake mix until it was a good mixture and look exactly like batter should. I smile at the batter, last time I tried to make pancakes I made the mixture too watery and it messed the pancakes up completely.

I walk over to another cabinet near the fridge and grab out about a pack of chocolate chips and smirk at them. Luke loves chocolate chip pancakes, it's something mom used to make all the time and only I know how to make them right, or so he says.

I lay the chocolate chips on the island for later before grabbing the cake mix and pouring the mix into the next bowl. I grab three eggs and a cup of milk and begin to stir the batter into perfection. I turn away from the cake batter and grab a cupcake tin, and turn on the oven on to 425 degrees. I grab the cupcake wrappers and push them into the tin. Then I pour the batter into the cupcake wrappers, before opening the warming oven and putting the soon-to-be cupcakes inside to cook.

I, then, turn to towards the butter filled the pan and grabbed the bowl filled with normal pancake mix. I take a large spoon full and pour three large pancake circles before sitting the bowl full of batter back down to focus on the cooking pancakes, grabbing the chocolate chips to be ready. As the bottom of the pancake begins to cook, right before I flip the pancakes I grab a handful of chocolate chips and pour those chips on top of the pancakes and then flip them immediately and smile to myself. Luke is going to be so happy when he sees this.

I smile as I lay the fluffy chocolate chip pancakes onto a single plate and repeat the process. After I finish the chocolate pancakes, I take the vanilla cupcakes out of the oven and lay them on the cooling rack to cool.

I walk over to the fridge and pull out tubs of frosting in four colors. Vanilla, pink, purple, and blue colors. I love purple and blue, but red is my favorite but red doesn't look good on most cupcakes unless its valentines day. I open a cabinet and pull out shiny sugar sprinkles. I wait a couple minutes for the cupcakes to cool and then grab the first tube of frosting and begin to cover the bare tops of the cupcakes. Mixtures of colors later, cupcakes mixed with blues, pink, purple and white. I smile at the cupcakes and place them on a cupcake rack.

I smile lovingly at the cupcakes turning the stoves off and turning off the eyes.

I set the plate of pancakes and lay them on the island and put away the leftover the ingredients up and into cupboards and the fridge.

Just after I put the ingredients up the front door was opened and in came Luke followed by Kyle.

"Alister?" Luke called out, obviously expecting me to be waiting on the couch like I had been an hour or so ago. He must have followed his nose, which led him to a stack of pancakes and 36 cupcakes.

His face filled with awe at the food before noticing the pancakes, had chocolate chips in them. Joy blossomed on his face as he and Kyle rushed for plates to dig into chocolate pancakes, and probably cupcakes too.

I slowly slip away with a cupcake in my hand and head to my room, giving them some bonding time.
