Secrets filled my head rapidly, and regret clouded my judgment. My thoughts fumbled as I waited for Nolan to arrive home, I wanted badly to feel his bareback and his sweet lips kiss mine.

The elevator dinged as I waited for the doors to open, I ran and hugged him as I felt my stomach nag at me, but I ignored it. He was home and that's all I could want right now. He smelled of an airplane, hinted with a tad bit of cologne. His hands roamed my shoulders as I kissed him.

"Hi", he said as if we hadn't tried to destroy each other's faces just a second ago. He hauled in his suitcases and it had seemed like he had brought one more back.

"Hi", I stared at his golden eyes and his soft hair, his enticing lips, and his sweet face. I missed him too much.

"I missed you", I told him as he rolled his suitcases to the kitchen and he propped the suitcase open.

"I missed you too", he kissed my head as he picked me up and put me on the countertop. You can imagine what we did for the next hour or two.

"Your mom called yesterday, she wants us to come over for dinner", I mentioned to him as he started making us lunch. He cut up cucumber to add to our salad while I grated carrots into a long string.

"I feel like we just went over there", He said as it was true, we did just go over there the night they got back from their trip.

"I think she just wants to use up every moment with you, because of the accident, she doesn't want to take it for granted, she's being sweet", I told him as I rubbed his tense shoulders and added the carrots to the salad.

We ate the salad splendidly and spent the day working but bundled up next to each other, I had missed his touch so much that I spent every minute craving it.

I changed into a black sundress, as Nolan wore a pair of pants and a dress shirt. I slipped on my heels and grabbed my clutch. We left arriving at Alison's house just on time.

"Natalie, great to see you", Alex greeted me as she smiled sincerely at me as she did the same to Nolan.

"Natalie, I want you to meet my wife, Millie", Millie shook my hand as she told me about her work and her life. She had told me about her parents not accepting her for being a lesbian, so she didn't have anyone to rely on.

Into the middle of our conversation out of nowhere, Nolan snuck away with everyone. Leaving just Millie and I and I wanted to follow but Millie kept on telling her story, which was interesting, but why would everyone just leave.

Avery, Nolan, and his parents, along with Alex came back with a mischievous smile, just in time to save me from hearing about the different types of houses you can design as she was an interior designer.

"Let's eat", Alison chimed as Clay served the food on platters. He grabbed everyone's drinks and finally sat down as the embarrassing stories came out and everyone was lost in a pit of laughter. The night nearer to an end as Alison demanded we all stayed here, she wouldn't let us leave. I didn't have any commitments at home, and neither did Nolan.

Nolan set the bed for us as I peered out of the bedroom's balcony, hands trickled up my back as I relaxed under his touch.

"Have I told you lately how beautiful you are?", he hugged my neck as I blushed madly. His hands played with my necklace that wrapped around my neck.

"Thank you", he spun me around as his dreamy eyes stared into mine as he kissed my nose softly, he was a gentleman with a true heart.

"Let's get you to bed", he picked me up and carried me into the room as a comfy bed awaited for me, he tucked me in and closed the balcony doors cutting off the breeze, that made the curtains sway.

He got in bed with me and held me tightly and to no one's surprise, I fell asleep feeling nothing but safe and loved in his arms.

"Where are we going again?", I asked Avery as she pulled me in her car around 9 in the morning. I rode along with her in shotgun in a pair of jeans and a silk shirt.

"I am taking you for a makeover, some new clothes, a haircut and to get our nails done", she said as she pulled into a coffee shop parking lot and ordered drinks for her and me.

"Is Nolan okay with this?", I asked her considering she gave the cashier his limited edition black credit card.

"Darling you're his wife, you don't need to ask him, you own his money and he's wrapped around your little pinky", she tried comforting as she just made me feel like I could be careless with the money I hadn't earned.

"Every girl out there would dream to have his bank account and probably him, it's just different for him too I mean you don't want his money and Nolan he thinks there's something wrong, is it just you don't like buying stuff, feeling pampered", she rambled on and it hurt me that Nolan would think to talk to Avery about me, but not actually me.

"I have enough clothes, enough shoes, and enough jewelry. I don't need to go to the nail salon or get my hair done", I told her as she seemed hurt all of a sudden, I had just attacked what she loved.

"I'm sorry okay, I've just been feeling down about Tyler, and how much Cole damaged my heart, it's not easy to open your heart up, I just really wanted the day to kinda forget about all of this and pamper you", her explanation had made a lot of sense and she was holding in her tears as I held her hand softly. I felt so bad as she wiped away her tears.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, you know what why don't we go look at some clothes first, I actually do need to buy some underwear", her frown quickly vanished and turned into a sweet smile as she saw my excitement had risen.

The mall was filled with dresses and shirts and Avery just wanted to buy them all. Avery dragged me into every store and it was already 10 o'clock and she spent nearly $500. She swore off shopping which was horrible for me because now I was her main focus.

"Come on this store will have exactly what you want", she dragged me into a store with an expensive charm to the place as showed me what I had wanted.

"I was talking about underwear, not thongs, I was thinking of swinging by target and getting some fruit of the loom underwear, not this", I held up the red lacy piece of material as I saw the one under it, it was three strings pieced together.

"Listen you are going to have sex very soon, and well wouldn't this be a cute thing to wear for Nolan", she hinted as I picked up a red lacy conservative but a still flashy thong.

"And what is he going to wear for me?", I whispered to her as she looked at me if I was being serious or not.

"I bet he will wear anything, actually I don't want to talk about that", I probably shouldn't have brought that up with Nolan's sister. I closed my eyes tightly as I played out the little fantasy I had in my head.

"If he wears a suit, tight suit, then I'll wear this tiny little thing", she looked at me like I was joking and when I nodded my head she finally realized I was serious.

"As much as I would love to not get involved, he probably will now go get your size and I'll pick you some more", she gleamed with my excitement as she stayed back talking to the employees about my sizes and cup size.

"Okay that'll be $482", she asked for the card as Avery handed it immediately as I looked at the tablet in shock. She handed over the bag and set it in my hand as I walked out fast.

"10 sets of lingerie cost me 480 dollars, are you serious?", I ran over the receipt as Avery stood there and laughed in the corner.

"I only need one, let me go return those", I turned around as Avery grabbed the bag and stuffed the receipt back in.

"You are married to a millionaire, and besides even if you return them they go to the trash can, so just take them", she convinced me as she dragged me along to another store.

"I don't need any dresses", I told her as she dragged me in and demanded to speak to her owner. I walked around looking at the different beaded dresses, and the dresses filled with sequins.

"You're right we should just go, I was really just trying to feel better, I'm sorry", she apologized as she turned around from me and I had remembered what the objective was for today, to make Avery feel better.

"Okay I'm going to need a cart, can you help me pick a dress?", I asked her as she grabbed a cart as fast as she could and put every other dress into the cart.

The dresses she chose were all tight, red, black, or white dresses, as no one had come into the store, the employees had made it their top priority to find me a couple of perfect dresses but everyone wanted a perfect dress.

"What about this?", I came out behind the curtains as their mouths dropped open, it was a black dress with a slit up the side and as I saw Avery's face light up I knew she had loved this one.

"Darling if you don't mind, definitely get that one but please try this on", the man handed me a red dress, with a slit up the side, with the straps almost invisible.

I tried it on as I heard whispers outside of my dressing curtain, I walked out of the dressing room feeling confident and sexy. Avery starting crying as she saw me and the employees started praising me.

"I love it, I'll take it", I told him as the man hugged me and smiled widely as he ran to the back of the store grabbing two boxes of shoes.

"These will perfectly go with it", he added as I peered at the gold heel and the second was a white and silver heel with a light pump.

"Thank you, so much", I told him as we checked out and tipped him a high amount as I looked away from the 4 digit number in front of me as Avery slid the card.

"We are both getting dolled up, so we are heading over to my place to get some food and we're getting our nails and hair done at my place", she mentioned to me as we grabbed miso soup and sushi, and took it to her house.

"I really do love the dress", I told Avery as she smiled happily with her purchases. The girls gave me a light gold to match my gold shoes for tonight, and Avery got a french tip. My nails still had been dripping so Taylor the girl who was doing my nails took my ring off.

"Why are we getting so dressed up for a girls night?", I asked her as we sat next to each other, the hairstylists did our hair perfectly with each curl or wave.

"Cause we are hot and it's time we showed it off, now go put that beautiful red dress on and I'll grab you some jewelry", she smiled at me as I hopped off the chair and thanked her and the girl who had done my hair, nails, and makeup. I went to the room as I began changing into the sleeveless dress. My skin had been harmed which had left brown and red scars along my arm, the dress was beautiful and I wish I could look good in it.

I grabbed my foundation and began blotting it over my scars to cover the part of my life I wish I could forget.

My scars had been covered up, and I saw myself as a clean slate. I was free of a reminder of the pain I go through.

"Everything okay in there?", Avery asked as I opened the door to see her in a sleek and skin-tight black dress paired with some white heels.

"You look so beautiful", I complimented her as she smiled and handed over 2 boxes, with a little note on the top.

"Hope these go well, with your outfit, love you", it was a letter from Nolan and I opened the plaster and saw a wonderful pair of earrings and a necklace with a gem in the middle.

"I can't accept this", I told her as I watched the earrings glimmer against the shining sun, that hadn't set yet.

"Don't tell me, I'm not the one that bought it", I would have to have Nolan return these, and I could tell I had started to annoy Avery. She helped me put the necklace on and I admired it in the shining light.

"Ready, it's time to go", Avery yelled as she began taking photos of me as I walked down the staircase, and just to cheer her up I strutted and posed.

We made our way downstairs as we left the lobby of the apartment building. I opened the doors as I saw a limo waiting for us.

"You got us a limo", I asked in surprise as we were escorted inside.

"It's a special night, so I went all out", she noted as I had felt like this day had been overly on the top of every exterior.

"Nolan is going to kill me, I lost my wedding ring", I panicked as I searched around the car for it, and I woke Avery up as she helped me search for it.

"You didn't lose it, you just forgot it at home remember Taylor said to take it off cause your nails were still wet", she calmed me down as I was happy it wasn't lost, but still upset I forgot it.

"And no we're not turning around", she demanded as she went back to drinking her water and as I looked out the window.

"Now if someone hits on me I won't be able to say sorry I'm married because I don't have my ring on", I explained as she grabbed one of her keychains and put a ring around my finger made of chains.

"Thanks, but what happens when I put my finger down", I put my finger down as the chain fell off and in between Avery and I., I looked out the window again as Avery began texting someone. The sun was about to set as I looked at the water and realized this was not the way to the club.

"Avery where are we going this is not the way to the club", I asked her as she smiled brightly and didn't say anything else.

"Funny you should ask", the limo was parked and Avery had a large smile on her face.
