《Married to the Heartless Billionaire》45: Don't Leave Me

I hung up the phone as tears spilled down my cheeks, tears of joy in complete utterly happiness. I ran into the cafe and locked eyes with Avery, she saw the large smile across my face along with the spilling tears, and she jumped for joy.

"He's awake, god it feels good to say that", I told her as she paid for the food and we ran to the car, with tears spilling from our swollen eyes and smiles that hurt our jaws.

"What are you going to say to him?", Avery asked as she drove to the hospital like a madwoman, swerving different lanes and probably not stopping at every stop sign. She knew we had left our relationship in a bit of a crumble, but I have already forgotten about all of that. He apologized, and I should too.

"That I love him and I'm sorry", I whispered to her and she just smiled. We finally reached the hospital as my hyper-active legs bounced away. Boy, was I glad I took a shower.

We grabbed the bags from the trunk in a sprint and ran all the way to the hospital as it rained. We made it inside as we ran up the stairs, and just skipped the elevator. And finally, the white room felt like it was far away. Avery opened the door and I saw his smile as he saw us, but most importantly as he saw me, his eyes focused onto mine as Avery ran and gave him a hug. I waited for my turn like a peaceful shark.

"And there she is", his voice was so calm and one that I missed, it had been too long to not hearing it. I ran to his arms and everyone started to leave the room.

"We're going to grab some utensils downstairs, all of us", Alison said as they all poured out of the room, leaving Nolan and I alone as I sat on the edge of the bed.

"I missed you", I tell him as he smiles that crazy smile, I lean in to kiss him as it feels like the first time. His kiss is so sweet and sensitive, and at the same time, it's like we both wanted something more.

"I missed you too", he said as he let go of my lips, he pulled me onto him as I laid on top of him.

"I'm not hurting you, right?", I asked, wanting to not hurt his wounds.

"You could never hurt me", he hugged me to his chest as I squeezed his hand never wanting to let go, his soft eyes gleamed into mine.

"How are you?", I asked him as he smiled at me lying on his masculine chest and hugged me dearly.

"I'm doing great, now that you're here", he made me blush as I tucked my head in his neck and his head dove into my hair as if he was smelling my shampoo.

"I love that smell", he whispered intimately. He kissed my forehead, just as someone knocked on the door, we quickly unraveled ourselves from each other, and as the door swung open we were left red-handed.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Kister, how are you feeling, I just wanted to give you some time to spend with your family and wife, but I do have to remind you of the rules before we send you home.", he looked at us as if it was a regular occurrence that couples are all over each other.

"Okay, you'll need to maintain a healthy diet, food every day. Make sure you keep your legs pumping, and no strenuous activities, weights, and no alcohol", he rambled on and I looked at Nolan knowing he wouldn't follow half of these.

"That it?", Nolan asked as he seemed satisfied with his list of no's.

"Oh and sex, I know you guys are newlyweds and congratulations but it's too strenuous for the heart", Nolan looked disappointed, I had finally been ready.

"When- When will this ban end", I cleared my throat as I got dirty eyes from Nolan as he smiled at me mischievously.

"Uh.. in around 2 months, depends if he follows the diet", the doctor said nervously as if he has never been asked this need to know the question.

"Oh I promise you he will", I blurted out as I covered my mouth, in embarrassment. Nolan couldn't stop laughing as the doctor excused himself from the room, I buried my face in his neck as he continued laughing.

"Hmm, my girl was finally ready", he asked me in between his laughing movements, after what I had said this might not be one of the rules he follows.

I nodded my head as he made me blush, his hands found mine as I squeezed his hand.

"I guess I'll just have to go mess around with the pool man", I joked as I went to trot around his bed as he pulled me back to him and kissed me deeply.

"No no, my girl is mine", he held me tight as I flipped around and saw his messy hair but heartwarming eyes.

"Besides I bet there's other stuff we could do", he told me as he looked deep into my eyes.

"Like what?", I asked innocently as he summoned me over to him and began whispering in my ear.

"No, no no", I told him as I backed away from him. This man had some wild ideas.

"When your doctor said sex, I think he meant all sex", I told him as he looked disappointed like a 3-year-old toddler, who I just told couldn't get a toy.

"I could always help you feel good", he suggested as I realized what he was trying to say and I shook my head rapidly.

"I feel great, I don't need your help, your the one who needs help, and I will help you with all the non-sexual things", I told him strongly and independently.

"I will need your help in the kitchen", he seemed happy knowing his skills would be used very good. I got back into the tiny bed with him just as a knock on the door was heard.

"It's time to eat", Alison said as she brought the food Avery and I had gone to pick up. Everyone came pouring in all the family that had visited while Nolan was in a coma, came in. I got out of bed and went to help with the food.

Nolan spoke with his friends as I helped Clay unload the extra food we had just ordered for every one new that had come. Nolan and I would make eye contact every few minutes and a small smile from him would mean the world to me. Most everyone who was at the wedding was here now in this cramped hospital room, it may be a VIP room, but the hundreds of people who wanted to come in and go weren't allowed in.

I spotted Tally and Wes, a couple of aunts and uncles, cousins running around, and people from work surrounded him. He had stayed in bed while everyone came by wishing him a speedy recovery and then chatted for a bit and left.

Finally, 12 am rolled around and everyone had left, except Alison who was so overwhelmed by her son waking up, I understood her to need to stay close to him and protect him.

"Mom you don't have to stay overnight", Nolan told her as I cleaned up the plates everyone had just landed on the tables and the empty water bottles and even beer bottles, I swear this place looked like a party just ended.

"Okay fine, just one more hug", she said as she hugged him scared to let go. I smiled at him as he loved his mother dearly, I would want my mother here forever if she could be here with me.

She came over to me and hugged me sweetly as she wiped away her dripping tears with her handkerchief. She thanked me and began walking to the exit of the room as Nolan waved her bye. She turned around quickly.

"One more hug", she was desperate to make sure she used up every minute of her time. She knew it was a miracle that Nolan was here, and so did I.

"Bye mom", Nolan waved to her as she left for the final time and as I heard that door slam shut, my eyes fell on the man who had taken away my breath for the first time.

"Come here", he begged of me as I tied the last trash bag and put it by the door. I took off my shoes and got into bed with him, inhaling his powerful scent and running my fingers against his muscles with popping out veins.

"How is the book coming along", he ran his delicate fingers through my brassy hair.

"Book, you mean all the sad poems I wrote or all the times I wrote and said 'that you were just sleeping'. You weren't asleep you were dying, how am I supposed to write a book when the doctors said you wouldn't make it, or everyone gave up. Don't leave me again, please", I cried in his chest as he wiped my tears away and smiled brightly. He kissed my head and cradled me letting me know someone was there.

"I promise, I won't.", he kissed my lips softly, but wanting more each time. He is the love of my life and there was no denying it. He kissed me passionately, something I had missed feeling his soft hands making my cheeks blush.

"Can I ask you something?", he asked me as he held me gently, like a little baby. He caressed my cheek and wisps of hair that had fallen out of place.

"Anything", he seemed nervous to ask me something as he removed his hand from me and ruffled his hair.

"Have you been eating?", he spoke as he searched for an answer into my pale and puffy eyes. To a stranger, it would've been easy to answer. no. But to someone who cared it was even harder. He gripped my hand knowing my silence was the answer, but he wanted me to say it. I was homeless for 2 years living out of my car and a shelter. I didn't have many meals, and the ones I did I didn't take it for granted. I looked down at the body I know had, thin to the bone.

"I'm sorry", I apologized as he held me softly, it wasn't something easy to admit but as I did I felt better, he kissed my forehead and I knew he wanted to change the subject.

"I'm excited to get home, to our home", he adjusted as he held me softly, holding on to every memory that we had created. His hands roamed my body as he kissed my lips. His mouth went to my neck as he wanted to gravitate from this small hospital bed.

The door knocked as we untangled us from each other, just in time for the door to swing open. Nurse Clara, my mom's old nurse came in with a clipboard as she checked up on his vitals.

"And your heartbeat spiked up until I walked into this room, what were the happy couple doing?", she questioned hoping for no answer, hopefully. We just smiled at each other as she dashed some boxes on her checklist and began assembling the papers.

"And finally your discharge papers, sorry I know it's a weird time to be discharged but the hospital never sleeps. And besides, there's supposed to be some pro-baseball star coming here wanting the best room possible. You can stay till morning I just thought you'd like to go home", she spoke freely as she handed over the clipboard as I signed a section for my name and so did Nolan.

"If you ever need to talk I'm here, and you better treat her right, tough soul this one", she pointed at Nolan as he agreed and she ruffled my hair like she used to do when I was 7 running up and down these eery hallways.

Clara left the room as she took the clipboard and left, and just like that, we could head home.

"Who was that a new friend?", he asked me as he wanted me to cuddle up against him again this time we were alone and probably wouldn't be disturbed.

"Nurse Clara, she was my mom's nurse when she was going through her cancer, I was always here, so we became very close", I told him as he smiled at me and I knew I hadn't opened up much in our relationship.

"I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you got to see her", his sweet hand caressed mine as he kissed it softly and replaced it back in my lap. I was glad to see her, she brought back so many memories of my mom just by her face.

I started to pack our duffle bags just tossing our clothes in, Nolan signed some papers while we waited and even tried to start working, this man was a workaholic.

"Here let me help", he began getting up as I held the duffle bag and almost tipped over, I placed it on the ground and pushed him back into bed.

"You are injured, which means you are entitled to me reading you stories, eating lots of food, spending time with your one and only and cuddles in bed, no working, no touching, no exercise", I told him his list and he seemed disappointed he wrapped his hands around my waist.

"How are we supposed to cuddle, if I can't touch you?", he asked me innocently as his hands moved up to my shoulders, massaging my voids filled with stress and intensity.

"Okay you can touch me", I told him as my hands moved to his hair pushing it out of his face at the top and carefully moving my nails along his bare skin. His hands moved to my shirt as he stuck his freezing hands inside and I pulled them out.

"But no funny business", I removed his hand and placed it on my shoulder keeping him mad, with that silly smirk, I didn't deserve.

"We're all set, let me just get you a wheelchair", I squealed as I kissed his chapped lips and pranced out of the room just as Clara walked in.

Being alive never felt better with her in my arms, the feeling of her raw skin, soft lips, delicate hair, she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She walked out of the room just as the nurse walked in carrying loads of papers and a clipboard.

"Hello Mr. Clementé, excited to go home?", she asked me as she removed the clips that had been attached to me since I'm guessing I was here the first time.

"Yes, but I think Natalie is excited more", she let out a hearty laugh as I knew there was something more she wanted to say, she wanted to tell me something and I could sense it in her hesitated laugh.

"Just keep her away from her father", she told me and I knew it wasn't a surprise, in this world of economics and business it was too hard to not mix them both. Hell, we got married because of business and it was the best decision I ever made.

"I will", I promised her as the door flung open and Natalie came prancing in with my new wheelchair. She seemed happy to see the nurse and she smiled that smile I had fallen in love with.

"I should be on my way", the nurse said as she hugged Natalie sincerely and waved to me, she left in a hurry, but I knew it was because of her tears that she was holding in.

"I'm fine walking", I told her as she tried to put me in the wheelchair, I got up slowly feeling my stiff legs trying to walk around the side of the bed.

"Lean on me", she told me as I draped my arm around her neck and leaned on her for support. Her hair smelt of watermelons and her skin was soft and delicate.

She placed the duffle bag on the wheelchair, and pushed while I held onto her, we went down the elevator passing sick and not well patients also smiling nurses who offered help.

We made it to the car as I saw 2 smiling faces Mrs. and Mr. Johnson, they stood by the car and as we made it their way Mrs. Johnson started walking towards me with her warm smile.

"Here let me take those bags", she said as she took the wheelchair and took the bags and put them in the trunk. We made it to the car as I thanked them both, and we got in waiting to go home.

Natalie seemed nervous, our last memory at our home was horrible, I had told her to mean things, I had apologized but still, it never felt good after.

"I'm sorry, about everything at the penthouse, I'm sorry about everything", I whispered to her as she took my hand and kissed it.

"I'm sorry too, but let's just move on from that, focus on the future", her words changed the table, she didn't want a high school relationship off and on, hell we were married. Her delicate words made me think of the future that was in store for us.

We arrived at the penthouse and I was glad to escape the car and find warmth in my own bed without wires connected to me.

Mr. Johnson parked and took our stuff upstairs, and check the room out first. He came down told us it was safe and we made our way upstairs, Natalie was tired and yet she still held me up, which was something I should've been doing for her.

"It feels good to be home", Natalie said as we made our way inside and she plopped down on the couch, just getting breath to herself.

"I say we make ourselves some food", I said holding on to objects to steady myself as I made my way to the kitchen. Her sweet laugh serenades the room as she watches me grab onto the island to steady myself.

"Nolan, we just had food", she said as she sat on the barstool waiting for whatever I could whip up.

"They only gave me hospital food, and I didn't see you eat much at dinner, so I'm making us something", I told her as she just laughed at my attempt to break my diet.

"Okay but it better be with your diet, greens, fruits", she rambled on as she grabbed the glasses and checked out the items I was grabbing from the fridge.

"I'm healthy, look at me", I showed my self off flexing my muscles as I waited for her to swoon she gave me one glance and filled the glasses with water.

"Yes, but you know what happens if you don't follow this diet", she looked at me with lust-filled in her eyes, and at that moment I didn't care about the diet, well now I did.

"Yummy, I love greens and fruits", I told her as she smiled at my attempt, she wanted this just as much as I did and that's what made me go crazy.

"Good boy", she rubbed my hair and smiled at me, softly.

"I'm going to change should I bring you something", she asked me as I told her a shirt and she pranced away.

I chopped up spinach leaves and was about to chop up the carrots just as I heard someone prance down the stairs. I looked up at the stairs and saw Natalie in the tiniest outfit I had ever seen. She wore a tight tank top and shorts, that seemed as if they cut off way too soon.

"Brought you a shirt", she told me as she turned around and all my eyes focused on was her ass, rounded and hanging out. As she turned around she knew I was staring and just as I looked at her shirts, I realized she wasn't wearing a bra. She looked straight at me as I looked away.

"What?", she asked me confused from my longing and lustful stares. She said it is the most innocent way that made me lose my mind.

"You are such a tease", I told her as she smiled at me brightly knowing how much she affected me.

"Only for you", she added on, as she knew what she was doing and how much just by her clothing had changed the way I had felt.

"Need any help", she asked me as she began to grab a carrot and I took it away from her.

"I love you, but I don't trust you in the kitchen", she just laughed and walked to the barstool.

"That's probably fair", she said as I finished up cutting up the carrots and added finishing touches.

I served the plates as she moved to the table. We quickly finished up our meal as we talked about what I had missed and how much she missed me.

"I don't think I can make it upstairs", I told her as she looked alarmed but determined she moved the sheets downstairs and made a bed from the couch.

"I didn't know the coach could do that", I told her as she laughed at my remark, she definitely had a smart mind, probably smarter than mine.

"You have to think outside the box, Clementé", she remarked as I helped her place the fitted sheets and the two pillows on the bed, she grabbed the comforter and placed it on the bed.

"How should I think outside the box", I messed with her as I pushed her on the bed and fell next to her. She kissed me with her delicate lips and smiled brightly at me.

"Goodnight, Nolan", she told me as she turned around right against me in our makeshift bed. Her soft hair blew into my face and I held on never wanting to let go.
