《Married to the Heartless Billionaire》30: Protective Side

It was Friday, after relaxing, a lot of hugging and kissing, it was time to escape to the real world.
We had yet to meet Cole, Avery's new beau, who Nolan hadn't met yet but simply hated, and all his hate was based on a cryptical feeling.
"I really don't have a good feeling about this", he went on and on about this feeling he had about Cole, who I had heard as a nice guy who made Avery happy.
"You don't even know him, give him a chance before you judge him", I gave him a shirt as I kissed his lips softly as I knew it would calm his agitated mindset. He leaned down and planted a kiss on my forehead.
"You're right, I just hate that I don't know him, he's not worthy of her", he got all protective as his fists balled up as he squeezed them tightly, hoping to relieve some of his pent up pressure.
"Someone needs to stop being so protective, Avery is a woman who earns her own money and I've seen her she can fight her own fights, if she needs your help I can bet you will be the first person she calls, okay", he brought me closer as he leaned his head on top of mine and he hugged me close, never wanting to let go.
"I like your protective side", I looked up at his sad face as he smiled wholeheartedly. He brushed back wisps of hairs and leaned down as he kissed my forehead.
"It'll be good for the future", he said as he walked away and I could only imagine what the future had in store for the two of us.
"So you're going to be nice", I asked him as he smiled mischievously and opened the house door for me as I followed out waiting for his answer.
"If he's an ass, then he gets what he deserves, if he's not an ass, then he gets what he deserves", he joked around as I stared at him dead in the eye and I could tell he was being very serious about this 'getting what he deserves' business.
"And what would he deserve", I asked as we pulled out of the house and started on the highway.
"A little punch here and there, that's all", he was blowing it by proportion, I understood how he felt but his sister was a grown woman, but at the same time, I admired it. I had never had that protectiveness over anyone and seeing it made me believe that there is good in family.
"You're going to punish someone for liking your sister", I asked as he nodded very happily. This man was definitely going crazy inside.
"So you're saying your sister would punch me for liking you", I asked as he took a minute to clear his mind and think about it for a while.
"Well when we got married, you didn't like me, cause I was an ass, sorry", he apologized and I couldn't have believed where the conversation had begun and where it would end as we pulled up to the building of a quaint coffee shop.

"You left me on our wedding day, to sleep with a hooker, and all I get is sorry", I laughed as he looked at me as if I was joking. He was just a guy, he didn't know how to take responsibility for his actions.
"Baby, I'm sorry, about all of that, I didn't realize that you were the most amazing girl in my entire life, and now that I have I am never letting go", he hugged me as he let go he turned off the engine to the car and he ran to the side to get my door for me.
"Our first fight, I didn't like it", he wrapped his arm around my neck as he kissed my cheek, and I knew all was fine, it was the past and though it could come back to haunt us, we had both moved on and nothing was stopping us.
"It wasn't a fight, it was an argument and we worked it out", he rubbed my head as he fixed my hair subtly. I smoothed the edges out as we walked to the door of the coffee shop.
"The jackass couldn't pick out a better place, huh", he muttered as he held open the door for me as I crept in waiting to comfort him before we addressed the couple.
"I like these little coffee shops they have personality, and you said you were going to be nice", I pointed a finger at him as he toughened down and hugged me from behind as we searched for the table.
"Yeah sure, maybe I'll even invite him to the powder room", he said as I spotted Avery leaning on Cole, in a far booth on the side.
"Be nice, or no cuddles or kisses", I whispered into his ear as he became very alert and trailed behind me as we made our way to the table.
"Yes ma'am", he whispered seductively into my ear as we got closer to the table, I pulled him slightly to be front and center. Avery saw us as I waved at her she stood up as Cole straightened the collar of his shirt. Cole quickly stood up as Nolan became face with him and Nolan peered over him like a tower.
"This is Cole, meet Natalie and Nolan", Avery introduced as he shook mine and then went to shake Nolan's hand and he held on for a bit too long as I pulled on Nolan's hand and he let go. God, this man needed restraints.
Avery hugged me as I could tell she was on edge with Nolan as he had told me before that of all the men she had picked out he never approved of any of them. She wasn't seeking his approval just a simple 'be nice at gatherings' type of deal.
We took a seat as we slid into the booth, I sat next to Avery as the boys sat on either side of us. By the look of Nolan's face, he was trying to send a message to Cole, I tried distracting him as I picked up the menu and began going through the soups and sandwiches.

"So Cole, tell us about yourself?", I asked as Nolan made eyes at me as if saying 'why are you talking to the devil'. He embraced the question trying to keep his eyes from lingering onto Nolan's glances of warning.
"I'm a software engineer at a company and I went to Stanford, and I'm from Ashford", he stated as if he was at an interview and his whole town was counting on him, the population of 220 people.
"Ashford, woah your from a small town", I asked as he nodded looking at Avery as if to say he had no clue what to say next.
"I think we need to freshen up", Avery suggested as I grabbed my purse and both the men moved as I made eyes at Nolan to behave but he clearly had other plans.
We made our way to the bathroom and as we slipped in we checked underneath the stalls and found no one in any of the stalls. The coast was clear.
"He's so sweet and nice, but he really doesn't like Nolan", Avery spat out as I understood her, Nolan was a boy Avery except very tall. He was intimidating in the worst ways possible.
"He's shy, and I've had to do some major convincing to Nolan to be nice, but now he's probably making him cry out there", I said as Avery laughed as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"It doesn't make much sense though, because when it's just him and I, he's the dominant one and he's very much like Nolan, I thought they would get along, but I guess not", she said as she applied lip gloss to her already glossy lips. She grabbed her blush as she brushed a bit in me, then her.
"Okay, I say we check up on the damage", we left the bathroom as I could only imagine what I would come back to find.
We came back from the bathroom as I spot Nolan sitting there calmly, as Cole looks like he's about to cry. Avery makes her way back to the table and I grab Nolan and I pull him to the side, he holds my hand as if he believes I'm being romantic.
"What did you do", I whacked his arm as he acted as if it actually hurt him. I smoothed it out as I kissed it.
"I didn't do anything", he said as I looked over to Avery comforting him back at the
booth.
"Then why does he look like he's about to cry", I asked him as he looked down at his shoes and he couldn't have said anything better than stayed in silence as it said it all for him.
"Hey, It's not my fault the guys a crybaby, Avery deserves better than him", he looked back at the table and he saw him being comforted by Avery.
"I may have asked him about football, guys are very territorial about that", he said as I could tell there was more to the story, but he wouldn't let up.
"Look at your sister, you're upsetting her if she likes him then she likes him, let her make her own decisions.", he normally wasn't so easy on this arguing topic but he let go as he leaned down to kiss me as I dodged his luscious lips.
"You weren't nice", I said as he looked sad and I kissed his cheek, he wanted the real deal and he was just going to have to fix his attitude.
"I'll be better", he promised as we made our way back to the table as our food finally comes and we all eat.
The rest of the lunch Nolan is loving to me and he even loosens up a bit with Cole, as the smile that is strongly plastered on Avery's face she's happy with the way everything turned out.
"It was so nice to meet you", I shake Cole's now stronger hand and I hug Avery as she whispers softly in my ear.
"It turned out well", she whispered as she let me go and hugged her brother as she nicked his ear. We waved goodbye as Cole and Avery disappeared into the same car as it angered him.
"I deserve my kisses, I deserve extra", he demands as he leans me against a wall and plasters his lips all over mine. He definitely would give anyone a run for their money. He held me tightly as we walked around the block for a bit. He moved his hand lower down my back. I moved his hand to my upper back as he got easily disappointed.
"I'll give you more at home", I whispered to him as he picked me up and made a run for the car. The wandering eyes that saw us, though we were young and in love if you dive deeper you'd discover something more.
The car ride home was the music as usual and Nolan's complaining on and on about Cole, we finally arrived home as I went straight to our bedroom. After we came back from our vacation we had changed the sheets, and I had moved everything of mine to our room, and I had loved every morning of waking up to him.
I went straight to the closet to get out of this itchy skirt, as from the other room I could hear Nolan mention Cole over and over again. I grabbed his shirt and I slipped into it leaving my bra and panties on and that's it. He had taken his shirt off and his jeans were still on as he had bent down to take off his shoes and he kept talking about Cole.
I knocked on the frame of the closet door as that got his lustful attention, and his eyes shot up to me and he shut his mouth as his eyes raked my body.
"Cole is really killing the mood, huh", I said as he kept his eyes glued on me as he made his way over to me in a rushed manner.
"Yes he is", he breathed heavily as he carried me to the bed as he landed onto me softly. His luscious lips felt every space in my mouth.

8 185Petrichor: Act One
Cody is adrift. Emily is alone. Sara is spiraling into darkness. Andrew is out of control. Chris is losing his mind. Grace makes the mistake of being friends with all of them. The friendship these six share will forever shape who they are. In the town of Darkwood, Washington they are forced into the harsh reality of the world catching up to them. When their involvement in their friend's suicide catches up to them, how will they juggle their guilt, issues, and crumbling friendships that fall before them? This is a redux of Petrichor. I was unsatisfied with how the story went. I rushed things and left things to happen off-screen a lot. So I'm rewriting it, this time dividing the acts into their separate books to allow the characters to properly develop. The story will mostly stay the same but I'll fix all the plot holes I found and change some character motivations here or there.
