"I can't believe you actually jumped at Tyler like that." Bonnie said as she dapped the cloth of rubbing alcohol on my fresh cut.
"Do you think it'll scar?" Linkin asked.
"Dont try an change the subject. What's been going on with you. I mean don't get me wrong it's a welcome change to watching you let yourself get hur-."
"Bonnie." He said lowly interrupting her rant.
"Nope, not this time Link. You need to talk about this and as your best friend who else is more qualified." She said with a bright smile dabbing the cloth again and Linkin winced, jerking away from the girl.
"Bonnie I love you, I reaply do. But please drop the sting rag an let it go. I'm fine. Besides, the only reason I fought Ty was because he went at Jeremy." He explained.
"So it's okay for you to stand up for others but not yourself." Bonnie gaped in disbelief.
This conversation was making Linkin start to think. Think about things he didn't want to. "Whatever Bonnie." He huffed getting up from the car walking off.
"Linkin wait." Bonnie tried but he just kept going.
...
He saw Jeremy sitting behind the bleachers with a beer on his head an he could tell the Gilbert boy was upset. Linkin didn't blame him for what happened at all, he's not oblivious to how his friend gets treated by Tyler. Or the fact that his sister Elena constantly reprimands him for just breathing. He just wanted to go an comfort his friend and tell him that he wasn't angry or upset, that he was fine an the comfort him. But as he went to walk across the parking lot he caught sight of Viki going to Jeremy and froze.
He was just close enough to hear the Donavan girl. "It wasn't about the drugs." She said befor kissing Jeremy whos eyes immediately beamed with relief.

Linkin couldn't help but clench his fist in anger, not even paying mind the his nails piercing skin. Now in an even worse mood he stormed off. He just kept walking until he heard Stefan shouting.
If Linkin was being honest, he didn't really care all to much that Tanner had Damon draining all the blood out of his neck. But he could see the look on Stefans face and if he could, he wasnt going to let another person die. He grabbed Stefans hand taking some magic. "motus terra imparum.'' He chanted balling his fist and thrusting it down. Damon had fallen to the floor and could'nt get back up.
"You." Damon snarled glaring at Linkin.
"Me." Linkin snarked angrily.
Stefan ran over to Tanner checking his pulse.
"Is he alive?" Linkin asked, keeping his focus on the spell.
Stefan took his fingers off the mans wrist. He turned to Link shaking his head.
"Great."
Linkin didn't realise how quick he was running out of magic until his spell broke on Damon. The latter happily took the chance to grab the boy and pinn him to the brick wall. His hand was on his thorat cutting of his oxygen. "You have been far to much trouble." Damon said with a sickly sweet smile.
Stefan went to vamp speed at them. "I wouldn't do that little brother." He warned tightening his grip around Linkins throat.
He then turned back to Link who was croaking out nonsense. "Whats that, humm. You have something to say." He taunted tightening his grip.
"Damon stop." Stefan growled.
Linkin latched his hands around Damon wrists as they glowed orange making the vampires grip loosen in pain. "Get off me!" Linkin howled letting out a wave of magic that blasted Damon off him.
Damon recovered quickly and went to charge only for Stefan to stan between him and Linkin. "Go Damon." He hissed to his brother.

"This isn't over." With a grunt Damon sped off.
"Linkin are you okay?"
"Please just go Stefan."
"What do y-"
"Leave me alone." He pleeded, his eyes begining to well.
"I can't leave you here." Stefan said confused.
"Go away!" He screamed as the tears began to fall.
Stefan didn't really know what to do in this sistuation. So he just listened and with a woosh, he was gone.
...
Matt had just gotten into a fight with Tyler and walked out the back of the gym to the car park. That's when he saw Tanners body lying on the ground motionless. "Coach?! Mr tanner!" He yelled leaning over his teachers corpse.
"Matt?" Came a croaky voice.
He looked over and immediatly jumped over to the boys side. "Linkin!"
...
There was a crowed now of nosey students and gossiping parents behin kept back by some officers. "We gotta stop meeting like this." Came a familiar voice.
Linkin could'nt help the scoff that came out of his very bruised and sore throat. "Hi Ryan." He croaked to the fireman.
Ryan looked over the wound and back to Linkins face. "I'ed say do you wanyt to talk about it but." He said gesturing to the lockwoods very bruised neck.
Linkin just rolled his eyes.
"He won't say what happened." Matt said standing by Linkin.
"Do you know what happened?" Ryan asked Matt.
"No, I don't. Like I told the Police, I came out the back and saw Mr Tanner on the ground and ran over but then I found him." He said glacing at Linkin.
"Right." Ryan said. He leaned in close an ispected thr bruising. Linkin tried to stay calm as the man leaned in and began gently touching his neck. He sighed befor giving his diagnosis. "It'll probably swell more in the next few hours. The bruising seems to have a patter on it. Almost like a-"
"A hand." Matt cut in with a scowl befor walking off.
Linkin went to call for him but Ryan put a hand on his shoulder. "I recommend not talking. Any more pressure on your throat and it might collapse." He told him.
Linkin couldn't help but look down.
"An I know your not gonna like this but were going to have to take you to the hospital." He added and Linkin instantly went to get up. Ryan grasped his shoulder trying to comfort him. "Look kid. I know your scaired okay, I know. But this isn't something you can get fixed at home on your own." He felt for Linkin, he could see the burning fear behind his eyes. "I promise nothing will happen to you okay. I promise." He said and Linkin stopped trying to get up.
"O..ka..y." He weezed.
"Good." Ryan said with a smile. "Now lay on the bed and well get you out of here." He helped Linkin into the gurny bed and sat with him the whole ride to the hospital keeping him occupied with small talk and jokes.

Be advised.**

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
