"He's moved around alot, military family, he's a Gemini and his favourite colour is blue." The blond bombshell informed Bonnie and Linkin as they made there way through The Mystic Grill.

"And you got all that in one day?" Bonnie asked suprised.

"Please, I got all that between 3rd and 4th period. Were planning a june wedding. " The blue eyed gossip sighed dreamily befor sipping her coke through a straw as we made it to a table.

"You know you can be quiet scary when you wanna be Caroline." Linkin said honestly taking a seat at the round table next to Bonnie.

"Yair but you love me." Caroline replied with a smug smile.

"I guess." Linkin mocked making the blonde's smug expression drop an Bonnie stiffel a laugh.

"Maby I'll go hang out with the better Lockwood then." She snarked flipping her hair over her shoulder and walked over to Tyler Lockwood and Matt Donovan a few tables down. Linkins playful demeanour ceased and Bonnie sent a glair to the back of the girls head as she walked off.

"She didn't mean it Link." Bonnie tried to reassure, putting a comforting hand on her friend's white knuckled fist.

"Thanks." He said with a small smile as his hand relaxed.

"Did you wanna sleep over at grams with me again? We can use that microwaved popcorn and bindge watch Buffy." Bonnie chorused raising her eyebrows playfully making Linkin laugh.

"Hey guys." Matt greeted.

"Hey Matty." The two sitting replied.

"Mind if I take a seat?" He asked with a warm smile.

Bonnie looked to Linkin as the latter returned the blonde blue eyed boys smile with a genuine one of his own nodding.

"So." The Matt started. "How's Elena." He asked a almost pleading look in his eyes.

"Her mom an dad died Matt how do you think she's doing." Bonnie stated trying to point it out to him but he just looked dejected. "She's putting on a good face but it's only been four months." She added gently.

"Has she said anything about me?" He asked with a glint of hope in his eyes.

"Oh no, we are not getting in the middle of that. You pick up the phone an call her." Bonnie said immediately.

"I feel wierd calling her. She broke up with me." Matt admitted.

"I can't say I know what your going through Matt but I can see that it's been hard for you. But you need to see that it's been alot harder for her." Linkin added kindly.

Bonnie nodded agreeing with Linkin. "Just give it more time Matt." She offered.

As soon as the words left the Bennett girl Elena walked in with the new guy at school, a small smile of nostalgia on her face.

"More time, huh?" Matt signed doughtful at the sight of the two standing in the walkway.

Before Bonnie an Linkin had a chance to process Matt got out of his seat and introduced himself to Stefan. Bonnie looked almost shocked but Linkin just smiled at the Donovans manners. Matt is the type of person to always show kindness an Linkin admires that.

Elena and Stefan took a seat with the Lockwood Bennett duo at there table. Elena sat next to Linkin with Stefan on the other side of her, Caroline behing Caroline decided to pull up a chair and sit next to Bonnie across from Stefan. Said boy looked around the table smiling giving out his introduction.

"So Stefan, we're you born in Mystic Falls?" Caroline asked unable to contain herself a second longer.

"Yes, but we moved when I was still young." The boy replied.

"How long do you plan on staying in town?" Caroline asked in a soft tone. Almost like she's trying to flirt.

"Well I don't plan on packing my bags just yet." He joked glancing at Elena. Caroline giggled like a school girl making Bonnie roll her eyes as Elena cackled and the smile on Linkins face grew.

"What about your parents?" Bonnie asked.

"Oh well, they passed away." He said, his smile dropping slightly.

"I'm sorry." Elena said as the other three at the table sat there in an awkward silence.

"Thank you." Stefan said as he an Elenas eye met. Stefan cleared his throat breaking the moment before continuing. "That's why I live with my uncle at our old family's house." He spoke to whole table keeping the conversation going.

"Do you have any siblings?" Linkin asked. Speaking for the first time since the new arrivals. He an Stefan made eye contact an if Linkin was honest, he could get lost in them for hours. They just screamed comfort and safety, but underneath there is a wisper of danger and mystery.

"None that I talk too." He answered making Linkin blink back to reality. Bonnie had a small grin on her face as Caroline glared at the youngest Lockwood, Elena didn't notice. Stefan just kept his smile as they held eachothers gaze.

"So Stefan." Caroline chimed. She was over all the looking that she wasn't getting deciding to bring the attention back to her. "If your new then you don't know about the party tomorrow." She said with a mischievous grin.

"It's a back to school thing." Bonnie clarified for the lost looking Salvatore.

"Are you guys going?" He asked Linkin an Elena.

"Yes they are." Bonnie answered for her friend's with a beaming grin as Caroline chocked back an offended scoff.

Shelia Bennett walked into her living room an couldn't help but smile at the two teens on her couch. Her grand daughter laid out with the thow rug over her using Linkins legs as a pillow as she lightly snored. Linkin still had his eyes on the tv playing his favourite show with a half empty bowl of popcorn placed next to him.

"You know child, you should be sleeping too." The elder Bennett spoke softly alerting the boy of her presence. Linkin jolted suprised and immediately checked Bonnie who was thankfully still asleep and he let out a relieved sigh.

"I know, it's just one of those nights." He said looking to the woman with his puffy tiered eyes. Sheila just shook her head smiling sadly.

"Come to the kitchen. I'll make you some camomile tea." She said heading out of the room.

Not wanting to argue with her knowing he wouldn't win against the strong willed and stubborn woman. Linkin gently held up Bonnie's head taking his legs out from under her before quickly sliding in a pillow. She stired and groaned latching onto the pillow making Linkin stifle a laugh as he went to the kitchen.

"So your having trouble sleeping again." Shelia said over her shoulder as she put the kettle on the stove to boil before turning to face the boy.

"Not really I've-" But he didn't finish as the the elder Bennett raised a disbelieving brow.

If there is one thing anyone should know about Shelia Bennett. It is that she is fiercely protective of the one she loves and she hates behing lied too.

"Yes." He sighed as the woman nodded.

"An what happened?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" He asked nervously.

"I may be old my boy, but im not blind." She said looking to his shoulder. He knew there was no pointin arguing with the woman but he dosn'twant to add on to her stress. Sheila had a hard gliar set on her face, but it wasn't for anyone in the house.

Much to everyones disbelief Shelia Bennett has never been one to be oblivious to the many things that happen in this town. Especially since Linkin and Bonnie became close friends over the last few months. She may not go to council meetings or do many town outings, but she always seems to know when something has happened.

"Its nothing, just a long scratch is all." He said trying an failing to reassure the woman.

"I think it's time your father and I have a little chat." She said with distaste at mentioning the man.

Linkins eyes doubbled in size from pure fear. Not for him but for the woman who has done nothing but accept him and taken care for him since the day they met. "No, no you don't need to do that, this had nothing to do with him." He pleeded. The last thing she needs is the town mayor on her back making her life harder.

Sheila gave the boy a sorrowful look.

"I swear it had nothing to do with dad." He said lying through his teeth.

There was a moment of silence before the kettle started to wistle. Shelia just sighed deeply, turning the stove off an making the boy his signature drink.

He absolutely hated that he just lied to her. But he couldn't bare the thought of anything happening to her.

After last night Linkin couldn't help but still feel bad about lying to the woman who's done nothing but be kind to him. He was so caught up in his own thoughts he didn't even take notes for the his classes. He only tuned back into the world around him when Mister Tanner started calling on, or out students in his class. Starting with his sister from another mister.

"Miss Bennett?" Everyone's least favourite teacher called.

"Alot, im not sure. Like a whole lot." She said coyly making some of the class laugh.

"Cute becomes dumb in an instant miss Bennett." Tanner said with a smug smile as Bonnie's own dropped. Linkin had to bite down on his tounge as he glared at the teacher.

"Mister Donovan, care to take the opportunity to overcome your jock stereotype?"

"Nah Mister Tanner, im cool with it." Matt chorused with a sarcastic smile as the whole class laughed including Tanner.

"Elena? Surely you can elighten us on one of the towns most historical events?" He called seeing her not paying attention.

"I'm sorry, I, I can't." She admitted.

Tanners whole demeanour change into anoyed as he came up to Elenas desk. "I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the excuse ended with summer brake." Tanner almost growled.

"There were 346 casualties." Stefan spoke up. "Unless your counting local civilians." He added keeping his gaze soly on Tanner while the whole class looked at the two.

"Thats correct Mr...?"

"Salvatore."

"Any relations to the original settlers?" Tanner asked meeting the biys gaze.

"Distant." He said

"Well thats excellent Mr Salvatore. Except there weren't any civilian casualties." Tanner stated smugly before going to walk back to the board.

"Actually Sir." Linkin called out dragging the 'r'. Stefan decided to stay quiet.

"Yes Mr Lockwood." Tanner groaned. Unbeknownst to Stefan, Tanner an Linkin have a history of going head to head on the facts with Linkin coming out on top.

"There were 27 casualties. The confederate soldiers fired on the old Fells church wrongly thinking it was housing weapons. A night of great loss that's sadly memorable." Linkin added the last part with a sarcastic smile. He looks to Stefan who gave an approving nod.

"I believe it's written in the founders archives if you'd like to brush up on your facts sir." Stefan added making students laugh and ghasp in amusment. Tanner plastered a fake smile on his face uyt before he could say anything the bell rang.

The party at the falls was in full swing as Elena, Bonnie an Linkin stood together laughing before Stefan was brought up.

"He has that romance novel stare." Linkin said doing his best romantic googely eyes causing the girls to laugh.

"Ya gotta admit, he's cute though." Bonnie said not missing the way Linkin reddened.

"He is a little." Elena drawled giggling.

"So where abouts is he?" Bonnie asked.

"Your the psychic. You tell me." Elena quipped.

"Right, I forgot." The Bennett girl said grinning. "Okay, grams says I need to concentrate." Bonnie said closing her eyes.

"Wait." Elena said grabbing an empty beer bottle holding it out to Bonnie. "You need a crystal ball."

Linkin just chuckled an Bonnie sighed closing her eyes. Her hand wrapped around Elenas and her eyes shot open. It was like she was looking through us for a second before she yanked her hand away like she was zapped.

"Bonnie are you okay?" Linkin asked worried while Elena just looked confused.

"I saw a crow." She said a little dazed.

"What.." Elena said looking scaired.

"There was fog and a man." Bonnie added. Elena an I just looked to eachother worried for different reasons.

"It's fine! I'm drunk, I've been drinking. There's nothing psychic about it." Bonnie said snapping out of her daze handing her drink to Linkin before hurriedly walking off.

"I'm gonna go check on her. Are you okay here?" Linkin asked the confused Gilbert girl.

"Hey there." Stefan said appearing out of nowhere making the two jump.

"Oh thank god. Can you stay with her please?" Linkin gestured to Elena. "I gotta check on Bonnie." He said.

"Sure thing." Stefan said smiling as Linkin made his way where he saw the girl leave.

"Hey Link you good?" Jeremy asked seeing the worried look on his former friends face.

"I'm looking for Bon. She just took off an I can't find her."

"Yair she's fine, just saw her walk off with Caroline an Matt." He said pointing over his shoulder.

Linkin relaxed with a sigh seeing the three standing together not so casually glancing to Elena an Stefan on the bridge a distance away. Jeremy didn't miss the way Linkins eyes lingered on his sister an the new guy.

"You like him." Jeremy said smiling as Linkins eyes shot wide open snapping back to him.

"What, no! Elena is the one that likes him." Linkin blurted.

"Wow dude, chill yourself." Jeremy said laughing as Linkin took a breath. "Your so easy to read man." He chuckled.

"Says the one who's been on an off with Matts older sister." Linkin shot back. Jeremy's face instantly reddened an both boys just looked at eachother dead silent. Then they both let out a burly laughter basically heaving.

"I gotta take a leak." Linkin said after the boys collected themselves.

"Be careful." Jeremy called as the Lockwood boy walked off into the woods, sticking a thumbs up above his head.

It took Link a hot minute to find a quiet place no one was. He began to fumble with his zipper, bobbing his head to the loud music in the far distance.

"Hey Lockwood." Someone said from behind him. He jumped at the voice turning to see a drunk Drake.

"Look I just came here to pee. I don't want any trouble." Linkin said tiredly knowing it was no use.

Drake just chuckled. "I'm not here to hurt you specs. I just wanted to say that, I'm sorry for how I've been treating you the past couple of months."

Linkin just raised an eyebrow from behind his glasses not buying it.

Drake just kept his smile an held one of his drinks. "I am sorry. I'll even give you one of my beer's an we can chug on it."

Linkin was actually suprised an he didn't want to refuse an be rude so he took the drink. "Bottoms up." Drake chorused clinking out bottles together.

"What's the harm." Linkin thought. He just shrugged his shoulders before bringing the bottle to his lips missing the way Drake stared.

Link even manged to beat Drake as he threw his bottle to the ground letting out a happy cheer.

Drake just threw his bottle over his shoulder laughing at the other boy.

"You sure know how to swallow don't you." He said.

"That sounds so wrong." Linkin chuckled suddenly feeling giddy.

"Why don't we make our new friendship a little more fun." Drake said as he came closer pressing his lips on Linkins pushing him against a tree.

"Woah Drake stop." Linkin said pushing him back almost immediately.

"Don't worry it's fine." Drake said pushing back into Linkin pinning him back against the tree.

"Stop it. Stop!" Linkin yelled out. Drake just growled at him putting his hand firmly over his mouth. He used his other arm to keep him against the tree. Linkins whole body was shaking shake in fear as his vision started to go fuzzy. Even with his glasses.

"Why is this taking so long." Drake groaned. His blue malicious eyes boaring into Linkins frightened ones.

That when he finally realised how dizy his head was as his body began to slack, struggling to keep his eyes open as they began to flutter. "What.... whats going on?" He asked tiredly.

Linkin lost all feeling in hos body before Drake let him drop an crash into the dirt.

"Where about to have some fun." Drake said licking his lips..
