"Bonnie why are you making me do this again?" He asked cleaning the streaks of his glasses with his grey long sleeve shirt.

"Because you an Jeremy still havn't really talked at all since the funeral an it's not healthy for a friendship." The young african american girl said keeping her focus on the road as she drove to the Gilbert's. Not without having to occasionaly blow or tuck loose strands of her black curly hair behind her ear.

"Hey it's not from a lack of trying. He's been so caught up in getting high that he's pushed away any parts of his old life. Me included. " Linkin sighed. "Plus if dad even thinks im doing drugs it wouldn't end well." He said almost shaking at the thought. He had to readjust his seatbelt again because it kept clinging on his bandaged shoulder hidden under his long sleeve. He's lucky he washed his clothes yesterday or he wouldn't even know how to hide the bruises an gash littering his skin.

"Speaking of." Bonnie spoke noticing Linkin constantly fiddling with his belt. "You were saying things were going better at home." She said as more a question.

Linkin instantly stopped touching the belt an let out a deep sigh. "Yair." He kept his eyes forward.

"What happend to your shoulder?" She asked, giving her firend a quick look before turning back to the road.

"I just ran into the wall opening in the dinning room." He said trying to keep his voice normal.

They hit a red light so she took the opportunity to turn an look directly his face. With a 'you really expect me to believe that.' Expression plastered on her own.

"Bonn I swear, I ran into the wall. I was looking at my new art book and didn't see it." He elaborated but she still kept her deadpanned look.

"Come on, you know that I basically have tunnel vision. I literally ran into a chair at Grams a week ago an feel flat on my face, all because I was trying to read a tea leaf in the bottom of my mug." He added, the ghost of a smile on his lips. He remebered how he made the older woman jump so high she thought she was levitating.

As his eyes met the girls Bonnie just stared into his intently, almost glairing. That was until the sound of a car horn made them both jump in there seats in shock. Bonnie saw the light was green an stared driving again.

It took Linkin a second to realise what she was doing, trying to do. "Where you seriously trying to read my mind?" He asked a little suprised.

"Grams said we are psychic." She added going along with the change of subject.

"Ah actually, she said you were psychic an I was and I quote "are something magically adept. But it's been locked away an only you have the key my little sponge"." He said doing his best impersonation of Shelia Bennett. The pair just went dead silent, only to burst out into laughter.

It was another few minutes of driving that gave them time to collect themselves before they pulled up to the Gilbert residents.

"I'll call Elena." Linkin said going to grab his phone.

"Nope, we're going in." Bonnie said with an evil grin before swifly unbuckeling her belt an jumping out the car before he could protest.

Bonnie seemed to be at lightning speed because by the time he turned his head to face the white painted two story house. Said girl had already scaled the stairs of the front porch and nocked on the door.

"Why the hell dose she do this to me." He mentally winned as the youngest Gilbert opened his front door coming face to face with his sisters friend.

Linkin saw the two talking before Jeremys face looked over the Bennett girls shoulder to see Linkins head dive down right into the dash board. The youngest Lockwood saw stars as he put his glasses back on before quickly and painfully pretending to rummage through his bag at his feet. All be it trying to not look conspicuous.

Jeremy just rolled his eyes not listening to a word Bonnie was saying as he watched Linkins whole moment with a small smile.

"Jeremy?" Bonnies voice called as he tuned back into whatever the older girl was saying.

"Ah yair sure. I'll see you latter." He dismissed. Not seeing the grin on the girls face as he jumped the porch stairs an moved towards her small blue car.

Suddenly Linkin didn't feel the heat of the sun on his back anymore. So he looked up only to jump seeing Jeremy standing over his door, hand up ready to knock on the window. Linkins fast movement caused the seat belt to put pressure back on his bandaged shoulder making him jerk slightly with a wince.

Jeremy caught a glimps of the white fabric from the bandaged, but he only saw it for a split second before Linkins shirt covered it. He thought he was just tripping so he ignored it as the other boy in the seat wound down the window.

"Hey Jer." Linkin said casually but screaming on the inside. His shoulder was starting to burn along with the new throbbing pain in his forehead. The events leading up too he prayed Jeremy didn't see.

"Hey Link. What you been up too?" Jer asked.

"Nothing much really. Just painting and stuff." He said putting on a smile.

"That's cool dude. You finished out your new book yet?" Jer asked adjusting his bag strap.

"Almost, only got a few pages left. What about you an your drawing book?" He asked but Jeremy's smile faltered at that.

"I haven't actually done any new pieces since the funeral." He spoke quietly his smile completely gone now.

Linkin reached a hand out through the window grasping the other boys jacketed wrist lightly in a show of support. "Jer, I'm here for you okay." He spoke truthfully.

"I don't need your pitty." Jeremy huffed out before pulling his arm back and walking off.

"Good job." Linkin scolded himself dropping his gaze to his feet.

The sound of happy girl chatter broke Linkin out of his funk. He wiped his eyes quickly painting a happy expression on his face an jumping out of the front seat.

"Hey El." He beamed to the shorter brunette as she came up to him an wrapped him in a hug.

"I haven't seen you since the funeral." She said pulling away.

"I know, things kinda got crazy at home and after Jer an I had that fight I thought I should keep a distance." He offered knowing it wasn't a really good answer.

"No, I get it." She sighed down trodden before quickly perking back up an putting on a smile. The fake type that linkin is all to familiar with.

"So grams keeps telling us where psychic-"

"That your psychic." Linkin interrupted making Elena giggle.

Bonnie just rolled her eyes before barrageing the poor girl with more tales of Grams.

"Bonnie literary tried seeing the future through a crystal ball until she went cross eyed." Linkin chimmed, Elena laugh again.

"Coming from the guy who tripped reading tea leaves." She quipped back as a look of shock spread across the boys face in the back seat.

"You promised you wouldn't tell." He ghasped.

"It's not my fault you secretly hope your a witch you Potter dork." Bonnie then beamed, inwardly cheering at her friend's flustered face in the rear view mirror.

Elena for the first time in months, wore a genuine smile on her face. Happy to see her best friend an newer friend. She was even a little suprised at how well the duo got along.

All the laughter and happiness in the car was however quickly replaced with screaming an panic as a crow hit the windshield. Bonnie lost control an slammed on the breaks making the car go skidding. The vehicle did a full 180 before coming to a stop off the side of the road.

"Elena are you okay?" Bonnie's panicked voiced asked as Elena nodded taking in a deep breath.

"Link?" She asked but got no reply. Both the girls in the front faced one another with worry before they both turned.

"Oh my god." Elena said as Linkins left shoulder began to darkened with red liquid slowly stepping through the fabric of his shirt. He was taking slow deep breaths but his face was scrunched in pain.

"Link your bleeding!" Bonnie yelled even more worried.

"It's fine Bonn." He huffed.

"Oh no, I'm taking you to the hos-"

"Bonnie Bennett." He said through gritted teeth. "If you say the word hospital I will get out of this car an walk the rest of the way to school." He threatened between fast breaths. Bonnie knew the boy would do exactly that so she instantly closed her mouth.

"But Linkin your bleeding." Elena tried to rationalise. She couldn't understanding why the boy refused as he just shook his head at her.

"I'll be fine okay. Ive got more bandages in in my locker at school, I can repatch it good as new there." He stated.

Bonnie just sighed turning back around before driving back on the road, a sour look on her face.

Elena managed to get the other girl to glace her way long enough to mouth "what was that about?'."

"Not here." She quickly mouth back before they all just sat there in silence for the rest of the drive.

Not wanting to here Bonnie's rant about his injuries Linkin jumped out of the car bag in hand, raced away ignoring the Bennett girl call his name.

He made his way through the crowd as quickly as possible. He put his bag strap over his slowly bleeding shoulder hiding the growing stain making it sting more, testing his pain tolerance. The last thing he needed was to run into someone but unfortunately, Linkin got the short end of the stick in the game of life.

"Hey there Little Lockwood." Came the voice of the one person he didn't need to see right now.

"Let me through Drake." Linkin sighed, looking up at his tormentors lightly tanned face. His blue eyes filled with malice and ill intent, a dark smile present on his face.

"Now is that anyway to treat an old friend." He asked. His two goons standing at attention on either of his side ready to jump at a moments notice.

"Drake can I please get passed?" Linkin asked again. His voice shaking a little from the pain in his shoulder. His panic was slowly rising as the blood patch began seeping out from behind its cover.

"Did you hear that Mak?" Drake asked over his shoulder only tilting his head to keep his menacing gaze on his victim.

"I don't think I did." The dark skinned girls voice drawled out in her low rapsy tone. A wicked grin plastered on her face as she twirled a dreadlock with her fingers.

"Amon?" Drake asked again repeating the same action on the opposite side to his other goon who was to busy drooling over some girl in a revealing top. "Amon!." Drake seethed fully facing his "friend" wacking the long wavy haired boys shoulder.

"What?" He stammered out before seeing where he actually was. "Yair, what he siad." The kid spoke getting a growl from Drake an a eye roll from Makena.

"Why don't we go an have a little chat." Drake said leaving no room for argument as he grabbed Linkins unbandaged shoulder. Linkin not even seeing the action but thankfull it wasn't the hurt one. He was not thankfull however at the fact he was behing violently lead to a janitors closet.

Little did any of them know someone was listening from down the end of the hall."I don't think he wants to go with you." Came a voice from behind them. The three bully's stop yanking Linkin any further even though he wasn't fighting back.

"An who the hell are you?" Drakes voice almost barked, annoyed at the interruption.

"Im the new guy." He said with a charming smile spread across his poreless chiselled face.

"Well new guy. I'm Drake." The dark blond spoke as if he thought he were introducing a king.

"Cool." He the tall lean brunette stated holding out his hand for Drake to shake.

Looking to his goons with a "is this idiot for real" face. He let go of Linkin so now the boy could actually turn an see the new kid properly. He quietly admired his features and envied his perfect, well everything.

Drake took the guys hand with a smirk before it disappeared slowly behing replaced with a look of anguish.

"Hey dude.. what the hell, that hurts." Drake groaned out.

"Now I believe he asked to be let through." New kid said still wearing his smiling disposition as Drake just graoned more, his knee's bending from the pain.

Linkin felt sorry for his bully at the display. "Dude just let him go." He voiced much to the shock an confusion from both the bew kid an Drake. The other two were still to preoccupied by the sight of the leader almost on his knees from a simple handshake.

Although confused at the show of sympathy, the blue jeweled ring and brown leather jaket wearer did in fact let go.

Drake stood hunched over clutching his hand visibly rattled before commanding his goons to leave Linkin as they trudged away. Not before Drake promised to see Linkin again.

"Thank you, but you didn't need to do that." Linkin said flatly to the new guy.

"Someone did." He replied noticing how everyone else just seemingly ignored the kid behing forcefully dragged through the hall.

"I could've handeled it, now you just put a target on yourself." Linkin sighed before walking away, ignoring the new kids "hey wait." As he disappeared, merging into the crowd of teens.

"He's better off an safer. I can't have friends." He told himself, putting him in an even more sour mood as he reached his locker.

Linkin winced through his teeth as he wiped the blood from his torn stitches. He threw the thin red soaked papper into the toilet, his shirt off an tucked into the back of his pants. He grabbed the tweezers off the toilet papper dispenser in his locked stall before painfully plucking out the old an torn stiches.

When that was done he lighly doused the area in rubbing alcohol once more. He pulled out a needle an thread from a small platic case off the toilet shelf.

Now I know what you all are thinking so let me explain.

When having a dad who likes to be abusive is a common thing in your family, the first thing you wanna do is A.) Know how to fix yourself an B.) Have all the necessary tools to do so.

So when Linkins dad started getting more violent, he read a lot of books on medical stuff, scavenged the school stealing certain supplies. Like, bandages an antibiotics from the nurses office. The sewing kit from the drama department and the rubbing alcohol from the second floor chemistry cabnit. Don't ask about the last one, thats a whole other story involvinga bobby pin and a drunk Caroline Forbes. Now back to your regular scheduled program.

Linkin, after dunking the thread into the r.a bottle began the painfully process of stitching up the cut that reached from above his colar bone to his upper peck. Unfortunately, he had to wait when Elena came in an talked to Jeremy.

After hearing Elena's perental scold at Jeremy in the boys bathroom it became empty so he could finally finish before wrapping it up. He washed his hands an discarded any evidence that couldn't be flushed.

Just as he made his way to the door it suddenly opened and Linkin walked right into the doors edge nose first. He yelped in pain rubbing his nose hearing a guy barrage him with sorrys.

"Its fine. I'm all good." Linkin trailed off before opening his eyes to see the new kid who helped him earlier.

"I swear it was an accident." He spoke worriedly.

"So you help me, only to slam a door in my face later huh?" Linkin asked still clutching. His voice sound like the announcer over the schools P.A system.

The new kid stopped talking an chuckled catching onto the others sarcasim. "I'm Stefan Salvatore." He said holding out his hand.

Linkin gave the gesture a sceptical look remebering what happened to Drake not 15 minutes earlier.

"I promise I wont squeeze as hard." Stefan coyly remarked making Linkin raised an eyebrow. But he his hand away from his now red throbbing nose.

"Linkin, Linkin Lockwood." He introduced taking Stefans hand only for his to tingle as the Salvatores own jerked back in with a low hiss of pain.

"Must be static electricity. My sweaters fresh from the dryer." Linkin said not aware of the other boys shock beacuse it was quickly masked as soon as it appeared by a charming smile.

"Yair probably." Stefan agreed hiding his curiosity before the bathroom door opened again, a random student walking in.

"Well I best be off. See you around Stefan." Linkin smiled before heading to art class. On the way he couldn't understand why but something was different. He felt almost magical as a sense giddiness flowed in him. Even dulling the aching pain of his head shoulder.

For Stefan, he just stood there for a moment as the pain faded from his hand. On his way to his first lesson, French. He couldn't help but feel something was missing from within him. Something that was rapidly filling, but for that moment there was a piece of him gone.

"There's something about him." Both boys thought.

...

Okay so I actually liked this chapter an am suprisingly happy with it.

I thought it would be a good place to end it here because im limiting how much I write per chapter to under 3000 words. Don't worry though I plan on covering every episode an not skipping a single one. Don't quite me on taht though haha.

What dose everyone think of Linkin?

An yes he will be supernatural. I've already left a few hints as to what he may be in this chapter. Anyone got any guesses yet?

"Oh poor little Linkin. You think you've had a hard life living in that castle you call a home! I'll show you how dark and cruel this world can really be."
