Cecilia's Pov

I was starving. I hadn't even eaten breakfast this morning before I had left for college.

It was a cold Thursday afternoon. This is the type of weather that I hated to be out in. The clouds were a dull grey and looked like they could open up any minute to let out buckets of rain. I was more of a sun kinda girl and despised the rain so I hoped that I wouldn't get caught in it.

I was on my way to Starbucks where I was meant to meet Amy.

It's the first time I'm going to see her again since we met in the club, we've been talking a lot over the week on the phone and I found out that she was Reece's cousin.

I still didn't understand why she had to call him sir or boss if he was her cousin. She said "that's how things are". I didn't question her on it any further because I knew I wouldn't get anywhere with it.

Speaking of Reece Ii haven't seen him since the day he gave me the kiss on the cheek. Like what sort of man kisses you then doesn't even talk to you for another 2 days.

Obviously not a very nice one.

I understood that it was only a kiss on the cheek but It still meant something to me. A guy I kind of liked gave me a kiss on the cheek and hadn't contacted me since. So I obviously did feel kind of crap. I mean was something wrong with my cheek?

I feel my phone buzz in my coat pocket.

Sorry I can't make it today Reece gave me a last minute job Amy xxx

God damn her!

I let out a frustrated sigh. You know what I don't care if she's not coming I'm going to go get my hot chocolate and muffin anyway.

I walk towards Starbucks which was only across the road now.

I cross the road and start walking towards the coffee shop when suddenly I'm suddenly yanked in to an alleyway.

"What the-" I cut myself off when I see Reece in front of me. He leans forward and pecks me on the lips. My eyes widen in shock.

Did he just? He did.

I was seriously taken aback by what he just did. The kiss on the cheek was friendly but friends didn't kiss each other on the lips. I mean that was this?

I look up at Reece only to see that he's already looking at me In curiosity. He was probably wondering what I was thinking about.

"What are we? Are we just like friends or something more" I ask quickly. He looks shocked by my question, even I was shocked. The words just tumbled out of my mouth before I could process them in my head.

I liked him and all but then again I tend to catch feelings quickly. He probably was just testing me out and wasn't that interested.

Looking at his face I regret my question. He looked dumfounded and a little mortified.

"I don't know but I was hoping I could take you on a date later" he says nervously.

The big bad gang leader was nervous about asking a girl out on a date.

I give him a smile.

" yes okay I guess" I say playing it cool and trying to hold myself back from giving him a hug.

I liked this guy and he obviously kind of felt the same if he was asking me out.

"Ok but you better not judge I'm new to this whole dating thing and this date will not be normal date" he says scratching the back of head.

He leans forward and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"I've got to go. I'll pick you up from your apartment later Cece" he says with a wide grin on his face he then walks out the ally leaving me stood there in shock.

I sober up when I feel a raindrop hit the tip of my nose. I quickly run towards Starbucks not wanting to get wet in the rain.

As I walk in to the coffee shop I can't help but smile. I was going out on a date with Reece.

I didn't think he would ask me out. I also don't know why i'm so attached to him... maybe its because I've never been in a situation like this in my entire life.

I walk up to the counter waiting for one of the workers to serve me.

Shortly one comes towards the counter.

"Hey what can I get you?" He says with a smile on his face.

"Could I please get a hot chocolate with whipped cream and caramel oh and a chocolate fudge muffin please" I say and give him a polite smile.

"Sure coming right up" he says.

He then turns to make my hot chocolate, when he's done he turns back and hands it to me along with a the chocolate fudge muffin. As he hands me my hot chocolate his shirt sleeve rides up and I notice a sniper tattooed on to his arm.

I almost drop the the hot chocolate. Was he apart of Reece's gang? And why in the world would a gang member work at Starbucks? Well he had to make a living somehow.

As if noticing me staring at the tattoo, he pulls his sleeve higher showing to me clearly.

I could see it perfectly fine before. I take a step back getting ready to leave.

Why was I so scared? I was practically dating the gang leader. However this man didn't know that.

I give him a small stiff smile and turn making my way toward the exit not even caring if it was raining.

"Wait up, I didn't mean to scare you" I hear the voice of the barista and feel a tug on my arm.

Before I can yank myself out of his grip he carries on.

"I'm Adam, Amy's brother. You're Cecilia Reece's girl right? They both never shut about you" he finishes giving me another smile.

Why didn't he just say that at the start? How did he know who I was? I just ignore the questions running through my head. For all I knew Amy could have shown him a picture of me. After all I did share my instagram with her.

"Emm yea I guess it's nice to meet you Adam. Amy and Adam?" I say smirking.

"Our parents... they liked the letter A" he says chuckling.

As if sensing my curiosity on wanting to know what he meant by 'liked' he carries on.

"My parents died in a car crash in fact mine and Reese's parents died in a car crash" he says scratching his neck and avoiding my gaze.

It was as if he was lying. He just had his look on his face that gave it all away. I however didn't question him on it though.

"I'm sorry" I say going along with it.

"It's ok don't worry about it" he says with a small smile on his face.

We both stand there talking for about another 40 minutes, the coffee shop wasn't that busy today.

I found out that he knew who I was because Amy had shown him a pic of me so that he would recognise me when I came to Starbucks with her. He also told me that Reece had told Amy to 'take care' of somebody. I learnt a lot about Adam, like he's 21 and has done a degree in criminology- the irony, a gang member studying the law. The only reason he worked at Starbucks was because it was more of a front than an actual coffee shop where drug dealings and exchanges took place. No wonder the hot chocolate tasted like trash.

I eventually decide it's time to leave and get ready for mine and Reece's date.

"Bye Adam, i'll see you around" I say giving him a wave and making my way towards the exit.

"Bye Cecilia" he says smiling at me he then grabs a wet cloth and begins to wipe down the table that we were sat at.

I walk out the coffee shop and make my way to a close by bus stop. I was way too tired to walk home and I was not going to try to take a short after what happened the last time I did that. Although I did meet a hot gang leader.

When bus arrives I show my bus pass and walk straight to the back of the bus.

I put my ear phones in my ear I look out the window as the beat of Taylor Swift's 'mine' pumps through the headphones and in to my ears.

Peaceful.

This right here is the most peaceful moment I've had since I've met Reece.

But how long would the peace last?
