SHUMAYLL 

She fell asleep in my embrace 

like really Fluffy?? 

I chuckled and decided to pick her up bridal style and let her sleep on the bed rather then the floor right here 

I put my arms underneath her legs and picked her up 

she was not light like every other girl was expected to be, she was hella lot heavy but i was built so it was fine by me 

I like my lady the way she is

I shook my head and stalked towards the bed in the other adjourning room 

Placing her on the bed, i pushed the comforter away from her because it was quite hot and switched on the AC to high 

she shuffled and then settled in my bed, hugging all my pillows like it were her life savers! 

I sighed and set on the chair near the bed, just staring at her 

her hair fell slightly on her face and her pink lips were slightly ajar and her perfect eyes were closed indicating she was heavily sleeping 

"Iqra, Iqra, Iqra- what are you doing to me!?" I whispered as i smiled at her 

never had i thought that i would get to see this day

My phone rang and i jumped, picking it up instantaneously to avoid Iqra's sleep being disturbed 

"Shumayll Edris" I said and Iqraam chuckled on the other end of the line 

"Iqraam Ibrahim here- dearest sir, i am sorry to inform you that your dearest wife's birthday is tomorrow and we have not yet planned anything!" he said in his accent that seemed so believeable 

"Say what?" i questioned and he sighed

"yes- its 11th Tomorrow- Meaning Iqra's 22nd birthday!" said Iqraam and i muttered a bunch of profanities gaining a scolding from Iqraam 

"What do we do!?!" he questioned me 

"Uhh why exactly are you asking me this?" i asked him, confused 

"Because you are married to her and plus you have to give her the damned ring and plus you are my best friend plus-" he was saying when i cut him off 

"Plus i need to do this" I said and he sighed on the other end 

"Shumayll please?" he said and i nodded

"Fine, I will message you everything" I said and he laughed

"great then, i will see you today afternoon to discuss things" he said and i replied a quick yes and then hung up after greetings 

I then stood up, kissed her temples and walked out of the room, shutting the door quietly behind me before heading to the study to complete some work

"Saale kutte kamine, shaadi karli, par bataya nahi!!" that was Waarith

He had called on skype after Isha prayers and was yelling at me for not telling him about this whole ordeal before 

"I am sorry man, things just happened!" i said and he sighed 

'Fine but i wanna know who she is and other things about her" he said firmly and i laughed

"Shes Iqra" i replied smiling at my wife

"Iqra? as in IQRAAR IBRAHIM!?!" He yelled and i flinched 

"Yes, as in her" i said 

"AS IN YOUR BEST FRIENDS SISTER!?!" He yelled 

"Yes as in her, can you please stop yelling?!" I said and he gave me a sheepish grin 

He lay on his bed and smirked at me 

"I knew there was something in between you two when i came to SA" He winked and i shook my head at him 

"You nah, impossible!" i said and he laughed 

his mom took over the camera and grinned at me

"As salaam fua!!" i said smiling brightly at her 

"Was salaam, Shumayll, how are you? hows my daughter-in-law??" she questioned and i chuckled

"Alhamdulillah Fua, everything is great and she is fine, was tired so is atm sleeping" i replied 

"Oh achi baat, I hope to meet her soon, have you people decided on the wedding date?" she asked me and i shook my head

"once you and fufa and Chachu and chachi are here then maybe we can decide" I replied and she laughed

"Nikah went well?" she questioned and i nodded

"Alhamdulillah- okay wait eh, Fufa wants to talk to you" she said and i nodded 

"Allah hafiz my baby!!" she cooed and i laughed

"Allah Hafiz Fua!" I replied

Fufa took over the camera and grinned at me 

"Shumayll! How are you young man!?!" he questioned and i smiled at him 

"As salaam fufa, alhamdulillah, you?" i replied 

"Was salaam, Alhamdulillah great- hows the daughter-in-law?" he questioned 

I laughed

"Shes good, shes sleeping coz she was tired" 

"Good good, hows your father? and of course Daadi?" he winked and i laughed

"Abba is good, Daadi did not seem happy with this wedding but oh well" i said and he laughed

"Ah well, she will get used to it" he said and i nodded 

"So gave her the ring yet?" he asked me and i shook my head

"Nope-" i replied 

"Wallahi dude, if you like a thing, put a ring on it!" he said and Waarith began singing Single Ladies on the background, dancing to the tune 

I burst out laughing at Fufa's reference 

He laughed with me 

thats the best part about my chachu and Fufa, they understand me like no other 

"Alright- i have to go, love and regards to the dearest wife of yours and salaam to all at home" he said 

I nodded

"Allah Hafiz" he said and once i replied, he gave the laptop back to Waarith 

"Sup?" i asked him and he laughed 

"Dude, now that you are married, they are after me, get a girl Waarith, get a girl!" he mimicked his moms voice and i laughed at his state 

"Don't laugh at my misery!" he scolded me and i sobered up 

we chatted abit more until it was almost after 8 

I had managed to text Iqraam about tomorrow and he replied with an okay 

I got up and closed the windows before heading to my room 

Iqra was still sleeping in i think 

I opened the door and walked inside, locking the door behind me 

"Iqra?" i called and she did not answer 

I walked into the bedroom and saw her sitting on the bed, staring at the tv screen 

"What are you looking at?" i asked her and she nodded towards the tv 

Some english movie was playing 

"Which one is it?" i questioned and she hit my chest 

"Shut up, its a good one!" she whispered back before giving the tv her undivided attention 

I sighed and turned to the tv 

it was a cartoon 

there was a blue rabbit, a girl i think and a fox, both were running and then they entered the office. there was a slug there and he did everything in slow mo- 

I lifted Iqra's hand from her lap and put myhead on it and turned to the TV but not before hearing a gasp from her lips 

I smiled to myself at my effect on her 

her fingers unconciously ran through my hair and i sighed in content 

damn how much i loved that feeling!

the movie continued and i was beginning to enjoy it 

I tuned my head upwards and stared at her as she looked at the TV, making faces through it 

She would smile or frown or growl in effect to the movie 

i smiled at her expressions 

My fingers graced her cheeks before i could even proceed what was going on 

she tensed under my touch and i quickly pulled away 

"I uh.......am sorry?" i made it sound like a question!

"Its fine, I just need time to uh adjust" she replied and i chuckled

"We both do- i mean i did not plan uptil here in my head but oh well, Impromptu life, here we come!" I said and she let out a laugh 

"I didn't too- so lets go with the flow" she said and i nodded 

i set up and she turned to me 

She smiled at me and i mirrored her face 

we set there staring at each other 

"Damn girl, i love you" I muttered before pulling her into a tight embrace 

"I love you till infinity!" she whispered back
