Chapter 48: Return of Amyrah.
"Live your life to the fullest for you don't know when you would die"
🌠
"Amyrah?"
"Myyraaahhhh!!!!"
"Bhabhi?"
"Oh god, do I need to return back home?"
"Goodness not today!!"
"Haha BTS references"
"Bhabhi"
"My wife?"
"People, salmon down!!"
"Salmon?"
"Salmon? Bahahahahah"
"Stupid auto correct! C A L M! CALM"
The group chat on LINE raged on with their messages. The Zaeef twins made the group with all the siblings, Aaiyla, Ehaan and Amyrah.
And for the past few minutes after Amyrah telling them that she was due to land in Melbourne in half an hour, her messenger burst with messages.
Amyrah smiled at her phone before looking out of her window seat. It was Wednesday morning and the sun was slowly rising past the blue waters. Such a pretty picture.
She leaned on the window and closed her eyes, devouring the sweet rays of sunlight that managed to hit her face through the tiny plane window.
Half an hour later, she walked down the steps of the plane into the right sunlight of Melbourne. She had been here numerous times for business but not once she had thought she would arrive here to visit her husband.
She knew she had to walk through the customs but before she even stepped onto the Melbourne soil (or runway in her case), she saw the man of her dreams approaching her.
Goodness, he looked like he owned this place.
She smiled brightly at him and he took her hand from the steps, earning a few coo's from the passengers.
Amyrah gladly followed his lead as she took a few more steps and stepped onto the ground.
He pulled her into a hug and Amyrah laughed hugging him back.
"Let's go!!!" Amyrah turned from him and saw Karmaan and Kulthum standing there with wide smiles. Kayan's parents were also there and so were the grandparents. A few men were surrounding them in black and Amyrah instantly recognised two of them.
She laughed as tears threatened to fall. Qaidah beamed at her and hugged her.

"Welcome home" she whispered and this time, tears actually fell.
Amyrah laughed and pushed back before wiping away her tears.
Grandma kissed her forehead and smiled at her.
"As salaam alaikum" Amyrah finally spoke.
The rest smiled and replied their salutations.
"Shall we?" Kulthum grinned and Amyrah nodded before walking with her.
Amyrah realized they were skipping customs and her baggage claim.
Amyrah tugged Kayan's shirt and he smiled brightly at her.
"Skipping customs and baggage because we are never held by customs and as for your suitcases, they would safely reach home before we do" he stated and Amyrah opened her mouth to protest but he hushed her.
"I have a lunch date with you" he replied and Amyrah blushed slightly.
Lunch date huh.
"I have a date with your mother so leave all of you" Kayan's father ushered his children away causing them to groan.
They all stood in the private parking of the airport, where their vehicles were parked.
"I am taking grandma and Kulthum shopping" stated Grandpa Zaeef, wrapping his arms around grandma Zaeef's shoulders.
"Where am I to go?" Questioned Karmaan, looking dejected.
"Home because you have homeworks due" stated Kayan and the youngest of the sibling whined.
"Go"
As the family parted, so did the men in black. Two followed Amyrah and Kayan, four followed Kulthum and the grandparents, a few here and there.
Kayan bid them goodbye with Amyrah before getting into his Mercedes.
Amyrah got in and buckled up.
"Where we heading?" She asked him and he threw her one of his famous smiles.
"Breakfast" he said and Amyrah grinned.
She pinched his cheeks until it were red.
"You know me so well" she cooed and he laughed, pulling her hands off his cheeks.
"So what do you want to eat?" He questioned as he reversed the car out of the parking space.
"Hmmmm. Can I have a decent Indian breakfast?" She asked him, rubbing her temples.
"Indian?" Laughed Kayan and Amyrah nodded.
"Indian. Desi. " She said and Kayan nodded, as the Mercedes stopped at red light. He turned on the radio and Amyrah simply connected it to the iPod of his which was lying around. Literally lying around.

She browsed through the playlist until she found one of the songs that matched her mood.
Finally she found the song, Wait by Maroon 5.
Wait, can you turn around, can you turn around?
Just wait, can we work this out, can we work this out?
Just wait, can you come here please? 'Cause I wanna be with you
Wait, can you turn around, can you turn around?
Just wait, can we work this out, can we work this out?
Just wait, could you come here please? 'Cause I wanna be with you
Amyrah sang the chorus while Kayan tapped on the steering wheel.
After two more songs, they found themselves infront of a diner.
"Let's go"
"Is this Indian?" Questioned Amyrah and Kayan nodded.
"It says SITAR" He said and Amyrah pouted before walking beside him.
Kayan entwined their fingers and smiled down at her.
"Let's go have lunch"
🌸
By the time they reached home, Amyrah saw that her in-laws were not at his place.
Amyrah was astonished at Kayan's apartment in the city of Melbourne. It was two stories with a lavish interior and everything about it screamed 'billionaire'
"You can redecorate it if you wish" Kayan told Amyrah once they entered the living room. Amyrah nodded before looking around the place. It was pretty.
"It's a nice place, Masha Allah" she said, taking the two steps up to an open patio over seeing the city.
"Thank you" suddenly Kayan was really near to her. He wrapped his arms around her and placed a kiss on her cheeks.
"You have no idea how much I missed you" he whispered in her ears and Amyrah closed her eyes, relishing the feeling.
"I know" she whispered back, smiling.
The two stood there for a good amount of time before Kayan told Amyrah to change upstairs.
Kayan's house had the homey feeling with white, navy blue, gray and black theme, much to Amyrah pleasure. It was a double story penthouse with 3 bedrooms and a study (library) upstairs, a kitchen, laundry, guest restroom, patio and living room downstairs. The entire house was tiled and rugged at some places. The walls were clad with various paintings of bright things.
Amyrah took off her hijab browsed her already neatly placed suitcase, for some tees and leggings.
She was changing when Kayan entered their room.
He kissed her shoulders, winked at her and walked away to shower. Amyrah could not stop him for he always had his ways with her so it really was of no use. And she had to admit that he did make her feel happy.
Amyrah smiled at her husband's retreating back.
She was blessed. She really was.
Once changed, she set on the bed and let her thoughts wander around.
From being a little girl from a small country home, Amyrah worked her way up to being one of the most successful women in business. From the days she slept in a cupboard house and ate instant noodles to survive to the days where she had everything she ever wished for. Allah (S.W.T) indeed guides those who have the courage to pursue what they want. The girl who had long forgotten about love and it's existence found love in the least of the likely places. The one who was afraid to love was now capable to fully love with all her heart. The girl who had fears was long gone. Instead of her, there stood a woman who was brave, courageous, happy and successful. Not only in her career but in her personal life too.
What more could she wish for?
She saw Kayan emerge from the bathroom and smile slyly at her.
She saw him stalk to her and take her in his arms. He kissed her and made her realize, perhaps a little family of her own would be nice?
