Chapter 42: WEDDING (1)

---------------

---------------

Everything was set. Every single detail was taken care off. The wedding was bound to be great. And this made Amyrah more than happy.

She was a wedding lover. Perhaps the reason of that being her passion of art. But anyhow, she loved weddings. She found it the most beautiful thing in the world. Along with many other things.

And now, as she set in front of the mirror, doing her makeup, she could not help but wonder what her wedding would be like.

"Ammmyyrraaahh" Kayan placed his hands around her shoulders, as he bend down and placed a kiss on her cheeks.

"What is it?" She asked him, smiling at him through the mirror.

"Everytime we touch, it's dangerous!" He whispered in her ears.

She could not believe it.

"I need your love" he kissed her ears.

"Cause it's my only drug"

Wallahi, was her husband whispering Arjun's song lyrics in her ears.

She let out a laugh when he kissed her right cheeks.

"Sanam Hoo jaa" she whispered back at him, smiling.

"I am sorry for our last moment" he said, pulling her up with him as he straightened his posture.

"It was a mistake. The poor guy did not know what he was walking into!" Replied Amyrah, chuckling at the memory.

"He apologized a million times for it though" said Kayan, laughing.

"Yazdan is conservative and shy. You said so yourself! The poor guy cannot even look at me without turning scarlet!" She said continuing to laugh with Kayan.

"We have to get ready" Kayan told her, after sobering up.

"I know. And I have to be there before 6pm!" Anyway said, turning to face him in his arms. His fingers loitered around the hem of her T-shirt as he placed a kiss on her cheeks.

"Then let's get ready." He said and she laughed, pushing him away, only to be pushed with him for his fingers were hooked to her T-shirt.

"Kayan!" She said, shocked at his outrageous work, making him laugh louder.

"Okay okay. Go" he unhooked his fingers and released her.

She threw him one last playful glare and walked towards the dresser yet again. She was still left to put on Kohl on her eyes.

Kayan was ready in a few minutes. He wore a white shirt and black chinos with a black coat. It was an okay look for him.

Amyrah on the other hand, was having troubles with her Abhaya. The girl was so tall that the Abhaya did not reach the floor when she stood up in barefoot. It reached a little above her ankles.

"You can't wear heels on this" said Kayan and Amyrah gave him a frustrated glare.

"I know! But I am sure it was full length when I bought it!" She said and Kayan sighed.

"When did you buy it?"

"Around 5 months ago?" She muttered unsure.

Kayan chuckled and held her hands in his, as he stood in front of the mirror, facing her.

"Your dress is perfect. It's alright if it's not full length" he said and she let out a groan.

"Ah well. I can't do much" she muttered and he smiled.

"That's my girl. Now hurry up!" He said, pushing her towards the dresser.

She smiled to herself as she set on the cushion infornt of her dresser. Her thoughts lingered to Kayan as she put on her black and red bangles.

He was simply perfect. Not for everyone but for her. And he was hers as she was his.

And in that moment, Amyrah felt self contentment that she was married to Kayan.

She felt proud of it and she would not let anyone take that away.

She grinned at herself in the mirror as she finally donned the last of her bangles.

She sighed and stood up, accessing herself.

Her black Abhaya flowed down from her hips and had red floral patterns at the bottom. It was a simple one. Her red hijab covered topped her look and she was content with her minimum makeup look.

"Don't you look ravishing" grinned Kayan from behind her causing her to turn to him.

"Ravishing?" She questioned him with raised eyebrows.

He grinned at her.

"Ammi has called four times. They are all waiting for you" he said, effectively changing the topic.

"How do I look?" She asked, twirling around to give Kayan a better view.

When he saw his wife twirl around, he saw perfection.

"It's perfect" he smiled at her and she grinned back.

"Now lets go" she said taking her phone and walking towards him.

"Your shoes my lady" he said, bending down and picking up her heels from near the racks.

"Thank you" she smiled, as she took it from him to wear it outside.

Together, the duo walked out of their room to attend a much awaited ceremony.

Amyrah had never knew she would feel such emotions towards anyone but one look at Aaiyla and she was already tearing up along with the other females of the family.

Aaiyla set there, smiling brightly at them through her own tears. The girl made the outfit glow more. Her light pink gown flowed down from her hips with a large bow attached at the waist. It's sleeves extended to the wrist where a simple silver charms bracelet dangled. Her hijab was done neatly with flower crown at the top, like the other girls.

All of the sisters wore the same gown, black with red floral with the same flower crowns. It showed that they were the sisters of the bride.

"Alhamdulillah!" Jazbah wiped away her tears and smiled down at her daughter. "-May Allah shower the utmost blessings upon you"

"Jazbah, we don't want you getting sick just now. We have an entire wedding to finish" scolded Rushdah when Jazbah began crying a little more, her silent tears making everyone teary.

"Alright, Alright! Lets go. The others are waiting" she said and the women nodded.

Jazbah turned to Amyrah and the girls.

"Do bring her to the venue" she told them and they giddily nodded.

Once the women left the room, it felt more breatheable to Amyrah.

Amyrah, Ruha, Raha, Urwa, Samran and Azzidah along with Kulthum all stood around the room, accessing every little detail.

"This is it huh" muttered Aaiyla from infront of the dresser and the girls turned to her.

"What is?" questioned Samran, taking a seat infront of her.

"Me. Getting married and leaving. I will away and no one will miss me" she muttered and the girls chuckled at it.

"Just because you are getting married does not mean you cannot come see us. Look at us, Azzi and I are also married but we meet almost every month" said Samran and Azzidah nodded.

"No you don't. One lives in Fiji and the other in New Zealand. You both talk to each other online" Retorted Aaiyla, wiping away her hasty tears.

"Girl, you ain't even getting married! I mean I know you are married but you are not even leaving this place yet! You leave the house, not the people!!! Plus we have two more days to cry, just don't do so today" exclaimed Urwa and the others nodded.

Amyrah however, kept very silent. She did not like the feelings that were overwhelming her at the moment. She did not understand what she felt. She knew that even though Aaiyla and her are married, they'd still be best friends. So why the sadness?

What she did not know was that this sadness was not about her best friend but rather about the sister she thinks she might lose. The sister who became a best friend later and a sister first.

"So lets go?" said Azzidah, smiling at them and the girls and Aaiyla nodded.

"Lets go"

Kayan was seated at the last row of seats, getting the fresh sea air from near by. The open plains were decorated in white and pink and maroon, with flowers and lights, giving the night an unusual glow.

"I feel even more tired" muttered Yazdan from beside him and Kayan nodded, absentmindedly.

He was engaged in the thoughts of his own wedding. It was bound to be in December but it would be cold and everyone would be busy with the Christmas season, meaning more work as more sales and thus more profit. He cannot jeopardize that.

"BHAIII!" Kayan felt his body shake and he let out a groan.

"What is it?!"

"We are called up there!" panicked Yazdan and Kayan finally snapped to reality.

"Up where?" he questioned, sitting up straight.

Yazdan pointed to the main stage set infront.

"There"

"Then lets go" he said and Yazdan nodded.

The boys walked towards where their mother was standing and talking to some ladies. As soon as she saw them, she smiled brightly.

"Ah, these are my sons, Kayan, the oldest and Yazdan, the second" she introduced them to the ladies and the boys awkwardly smiled at them.

"Boys, this is Sarla Chachi, Phillauri chachi and Fatima chachi, the neighbours of Ehaan when he was in Fiji" she said and the boys nodded slowly.

"Oh and these are their daugh-" before their mother could go further, the two boys turned to Sahl and he came to their rescue.

"BHAI! Important" with that he simply pulled the two brothers away.

"Why did you need me to get you out of it when you could simply say you are married?" questioned Sahl, eating his ice cream.

"That was because if I stayed, mom would make me her model and pose me around for all her friends to see." stated Kayan and the boys nodded in agreement. Their mother can be handful at times.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please?" called out the DJ from the front desk and everyone turned to the stage.

"Please welcome, the most beautiful, astounding and amazing lady, the one who's the highlight of this evening, Aaiyla Saleh!"

A round of applause chanted around the place and Kayan slowly felt his whole body, mind and soul on fire.

Amyrah looked AMAZING.
