《Sent To The Past (Interracial Romance)》CH. 50 The Long Journey

The joke that Tut played with me was something that I did not expect, but although it was a joke. He was right, how could I forget to pack food when I said I would.

Thank goodness Tut packed food, even though he teased me I'm glad he packed food for the both of us. He didn't have to but he did and for that I was grateful.

We've been riding the horses for hours now, and they were getting tired.

It's not like we were going at a slow pace either, but my horse for some reason felt and looked like he could ride forever.

He was in the front while the others were in the back and the thing that had me shocked was that Phora was running right next to him throughout the whole time, it was nice for Phora to be out and running. Doing things that were naturally for her and it was nice for Zane as well.

I liked the fact that I gave the horse a decent name and not something outrageous. It just seems like this name fits him just well.

"We should rest!" The man who was with the Queen said.

I should definitely learn this man's name, especially if we're going to be taking this journey together.

"Okay, Zane & Phora," I said, Phora slowed down but I had to double-tap Zane and rub his ear for him to stop.

We stopped and Tut slowly approached me with his horse, which was carrying many things.

"Why am I not surprised that you already know how to deal with the horse you're riding?" He said.

I gave him a smile and shrugged.

"I don't know, maybe because I'm doing amazing so far with the things I've been doing," I said and I watched as he rolled his eyes.

He seemed to have that habit when it comes to me.

"Be careful not to boost your ego too high Mala." He said and I raised a brow to that.

"You see Tut, there is nothing wrong with boosting up your ego as long as you're able to control it and know what to do with it," I said.

"Is that so?" He asked me.

"Yes," I said.

I watched him tilt his head to the side.

"Well, prove it then." He said.

I smiled.

"Gladly," I said.

Someone cleared their throat in the background and I turned around to see it was the man who was accompanying us with the Queen.

"Sorry to interrupt but if you love birds are done." He said.

I watched Tut narrowed his eyes, got off his horse and went towards the back of his horse so he could take the things off for the night.

I turned my attention to the boys and watched them doing the same thing.

"Krono's do you need help, my dear?" The Queen said to her son.

"No mother I'm fine and I am still mad at you." I heard Kronos said which caused my eyes to widen.

"Just because we are on this journey doesn't change the fact that you did some horrible things, horrible things to family and other people children," Kronos said and any other moment I would clap.

Applause him for calling out his mom, but the look Tut gave me told me to stay out of it, a look that simply translated to.

Mind your business.

I was someone who knew when to mind my business, of course, this was a perfect moment to do that.

I got off of Zane, rubbed Phora's head and went to help Tut with the things.

"We'll be sleeping together, I pack the things we'll need for that. Are you hungry?" He turned around and asked me.

I soften on the question.

He even made sure we had things for us to sleep on.

"Yes, a little bit," I said.

"Okay, after I'm done putting down our sleeping arrangements and fixing them up. I'll feed you." He said an I nodded my head.

"Let me help you with that," I said.

"You know how to put it together?" He asked.

"Eh, no but I can learn. All you have to do is tell me what to do." I said.

He hesitated but I supposed he came to the conclusion that he would allow it.

"I'll accept your help because it's a rare moment that you'll actually let me tell you what to do." He said and I actually laughed at that.

"Oh wow, Tut. Whatever, enjoy it while it lasts. Come on let me help." I said.

We did it together, putting the things up and making sure they were stabled.

Tut and I made a pretty good team, to be honest.

It's something that I've realized before but I feel that now that it's being played out again right in front of me, I'm realizing it even more now.

I could definitely see Tut as my partner.

I wouldn't mind having him as a romantic partner as well.

We've made it known to each other that we are attracted to each other, so it isn't a surprise that I would see him as a romantic partner.

I like him.

I've admitted, I like Tut.

King Tut.

I am, going to do everything I can to save him.

We'll protect each other, after all, that's what we've been doing this whole entire time.

I admit that I do have a habit of helping people but that's not going to change the fact that Tut is my main priority right now.

He comes first, and I needed to show him that.

When we were done unpacking, the man who accompanied the Queen made a fire.

Everyone took out their things and started to eat.

Tut passed me mine, took some meat out for Phora and feed Zane and his horse as well.

I watched him as he ate.

He looked up to find me looking at him and raised a brow.

"Is there something a matter?" He asked me and I shook my head no.

"I was just thinking about how important you're to me, that's all," I said.

I watched as his eyes widened.

He definitely wasn't thinking that I would say something like that.

"Is that so?" He asked me and I nodded my head.

"Yes, you're a priority to me," I said and I watched his eyes widened even more.

I laughed softly, pushing a piece of my hair back behind my ear.

"If your eyes widened like that again, I think they'll pop out in front of me," I said.

"Well, if you keep saying things like that. My heart will pop out as well, thanks for telling me that. It meant a lot knowing that." He said causing my face to get heated.

"Yeah? Well, I meant it. Every word." I said, giving his kiss a cheek.

"Thank you for everything," I said and he chuckled.

"Shouldn't I be thanking you?" He asked me and I shrugged.

"We can thank each other. anytime we feel like, the need to. After all, we are a team." I said.

"Oh yes, we are partners? That's nice for you to clarify that." He said and I laughed.

"But, what kind of partners?" He asked.
