Chapter Thirty-Nine

Bouncy Thing?

Deaton found a way to poison the Nogitsune inside of Stiles, it wasn't a cure but... it kept the fox out of my brother's head for the time being. I hated how this thing had torn apart my life, tore apart my brother. It wasn't fair.

Now, once again, the fox is taking my brother away from me. "Are you sure about this?" I asked from the back seat, leaning forward to place my hand on my brother's shoulder. Stiles placed his opposite hand on top of mine while turning to look at me.

"Do I have a choice?" I frowned, giving his shoulder a squeeze. He let his hand drop and turned to dad, who was driving. "I cant hurt anyone like that, ever again." I shook my head, "that wasn't you, Stiles."

He shrugged, looking down at his hands. "Yeah, but I remember all of it." The car fell silent, each of us falling into our own thoughts. We have to find a way to save Stiles, we just have to. Slowly, the three of us got out of the car.

The Eichen House building looked scary at night, sort of like a haunted house. I went to grab Stiles' pillow from the back seat but, was distracted by the sound of Scott's car. Oh, no. I'm gonna be in trouble later...

Scott hopped out of his car and went up to Stiles. "Why didn't you tell me?" He sounded completely offended to say the least. My dad sighed while looking between the two teenage boys, "because, we wanted to avoid something like this..."

"It's only seventy-two hours." Stiles reasoned. Scott shook his head, gesturing toward the big scary building, "this is the same place where Barrow came from-- the guy who had a tumor inside him filled with flies." Scott shook his head, "you don't know everything yet--"

My dad cut Scott off with a shake of his head, "I know enough. Nogitsunes, Kitsunes, Oni, or whatever they're called." I pulled a face, looking to my dad. "Wow, that was surprisingly accurate. Good job dad."

He sighed, sending me a look before looking back to Scott. I frowned and leaned my head on Stiles' shoulder, my eyes falling closed as I tried to get over the fact that I'd have to part with him again.

Since Stiles has been back I haven't left his side once-- except for him going to the bathroom. I've been sleeping on a couch in his room. I swear it's not weird, I'm just overly worried about him now.

"Scott, I saw an MRI that looked exactly like my wife's... and it terrifies me. I'm headed down to LA tomorrow to talk to a specialist." Scott frowned, "then why are you putting him in here?" Stiles sighed, stepping forward toward Scott.

He began tapping his palm with his pointer finger, his nervous tick. "He's not-- it's my decision." Scott shook his head, "Stiles, I can't help you if you're in here..." Stiles sighed, "and I can't hurt you or Victoria."

Scott took a breath, looking away for a moment. "Deaton's got some ideas... Argent's calling people... we're going to find something. And, if we can't--" Stiles cut him off, "if you can't... " Stiles brought Scott into a tight hug while whispering something to him that we couldn't hear.

I turned to my brother after he pulled away from Scott. "I can't go it..." I trailed off. Stiles nodded, tilting his head to the side. "You can't come in." He repeated. I could feel my lip quivering slightly, but I didn't want him to see me cry.

Without notice, I threw myself into his arms, holding him tightly. "You need to fight this, Stiles. I believe in you but, you need to fight." I spoke into his shoulder. "I will, I promise." "I love you, Stiles." I pulled back after a moment, tears in my eyes that I refused to let fall. "I love you too, Tori."

I held up my pinkie to my brother, "always?" He linked his with mine, a small smile on his lips, "forever."

"All I'm asking is why you waited until tonight to tell me," Scott sighed from his spot on the bed. I rose my eyebrows at him, not verbally responding because I was brushing my teeth. Scott ran his fingers through his hair. "I know, you didn't want me to try and stop it... and I get that but, we're so close to figuring it out--"

I shook my head at him before going back to the sink to rinse out my mouth. "No, we're not..." He sighed again. I rolled up my tank top, revealing my huge belly, I was twenty weeks now... which meant I only had about seventeen weeks to go.

While rubbing coconut oil on my belly, I stepped into the doorway so I could talk to Scott. "We will figure it out, but right now Stiles is safest where he can't hurt anyone-- where the nogitsune can't hurt anyone."

I had gotten a few more stretchmarks on my lower stomach, but it wasn't that bad. I actually had a lot of hope for my post-baby body. Not that it mattered, I'll be happy no matter what. "What are you putting on your stomach?"

A laugh left my throat as I looked up at Scott, his brows were knit together and he was frowning. It looked like he was trying to solve a rubik's cube. "It's coconut oil... it's for stretchmarks." I explained, stepping back in the bathroom to rinse off my hands and put my coconut oil back where it goes.

I rolled down my shirt while entering the room again. "Can we please talk about something else? The whole Stiles thing stresses me out too much..." Scott nodded, patting the bed beside him. I smiled, grabbing the computer and bringing it with me.

"Okay so, I found some cribs..." I began, "they're only $200 each. Which would be $400 plus tax. But, it's worth it because these cribs can turn into bed frames later on." I pulled up the website I was on earlier, showing him the cute black cribs.

Scott looked over the image and went to the review while I continued talking, "and my dad said he'd buy one of the cribs to help us out which is awesome." Scott nodded, "yeah. My mom said she'd buy the stroller for us. I guess they have ones where they can both be in it at the same time?"

He slid the computer back over to me. I quickly added the crib to our registry that I'd started. "Okay we've found cribs, car seats, strollers, bottles, clothes... what else do they need?" I asked, scrolling down through the website.

"What about those bouncy things?" Scott asked. I furrowed my brows. "I know what you're talking about... but what are those called? They play music sometimes..." I licked my lips, trying to figure out the name of it.

Scott nodded, "and sometimes they vibrate or have the little spiny thing hanging over it.... with the toys." I bit my lip, trying to think of it. "Danny might know!" I grabbed my phone dialing Danny's number.

Luckily he answered on the third ring, "hello?" I smiled, "hey Danny, I have a question..." I could hear shuffling on the other line, "okay, shoot." I began explaining the thing to Danny, "it's for babies and it bounces and sometimes it'll sing or vibrate and they sometimes have the toys hanging over it..."

Danny began laughing through the line and I couldn't help but smile, "what's it called?" Danny sighed, "it's called a bouncer seat." My mouth fell open and I quickly closed it, "oh whatever. I'll see you later.... bye."

I looked to Scott and we both immediately began laughing. "I can't believe it's called a bouncer seat! That was the first point you said! It bounces and it's a seat... oh my god, we're going to be horrible parents." I sighed out a laugh, leaning back onto Scott's chest.

"We won't be horrible. I'm sure we'll need a lot of parenting book's... maybe a guide to babies but, we'll be fine." Scott reassured, closing the laptop and setting it on the end table beside him. He wrapped his arms around me and I smiled, clicking off the lamp.

We both ended up laying down in bed, I was snuggled into his side, his arm wrapped under my shoulders while I laid my head on his chest. My belly was the only thing making this uncomfortable for me.

"Scott," I spoke after awhile, my voice a whisper. Scott let out a 'hmm.' "Stiles will be fine, don't worry." I looked up at his face. He looked so tense, even with his eyes closed. He was worried. "I won't worry... but you need to move. My arm is going numb in this position."

I sat up, smiling slightly as I turned over. "Sorry." Scott shook his head, moving to where he was spooning me. His arm rested over my side, his hands on my belly. As I began to doze off, I could feel his fingers lightly trailing over my bump. I fell asleep with a smile.

The next day, Scott and I were at Allison's apartment with Lydia, Ethan, Aiden, and Allison. We were discussing how to get silverfinger's... well, silver finger. We were all gathered around the table trying to come up with a final plan.

"This is a really bad plan." Scott shook his head. I rolled my eyes, "it's not that bad." Ethan gaped at me, "it's not that good!" Lydia sighs before beginning with the plan again. "None of us knows the route they're going to take. If Allison can get one of her dad's GPS trackers on the armored car, then we can follow it. So when it gets here--"

"We attack 'em!" Aiden interjected. I furrowed my bows, shaking my head. And this was the guy Scott was considering letting into his pack? Lydia shook her head. "No. Victoria's car will be in the middle of the road, looking like she's got a flat tire. When the driver gets out to help her--"

"We attack 'em!" Aiden interjected again. "No!" Allison, Lydia, and I all corrected at the same time. Lydia sighed, "Victoria will distract him while you and Ethan stay in the car to help her if things go bad. Meanwhile, Scott will break open the back door."

Scott sighed under his breath," I hope..." I gave his arm a squeeze. "You've got it." Lydia gave him a reassuring glance, "and you'll get katashi's finger." Ethan frowned, "it's not his actual finger, is it?"

I laughed slightly while Lydia just scoffed, "you are so out of our league." Ethan sighed, "why aren't we just going to Stilinski for help?" I raised my eyebrow, "because, if he gets caught, then it's the Sheriff tampering with federal evidence. My dad would lose his job."

Ethan nodded, looking back down at the table. Allison sighed, "Guys, this is going to work. We can do this." Her eyes found mine sadly, "we're losing Stiles... my dad's in jail for murder... we need to do this."

I nodded, "Allison's right. We've got this."

A/N: Kay, this is a SUPER short chapter. I was just typing it out and figured that since it's almost a full chapter and it ends at a good point, that I'd just post it for you. I hope ya'll like it.

What did you guys think about the Victoria/Scott scene? I thought it was funny and kinda cute.

Anyways, COMMENT and VOTE please! I'd really appreciate it.
