Chapter Twenty One
||KIT||
"Is this thing on?"
I furrowed my brows, looking at Amy as we kept walking, albeit more cautiously.
"HELLO! WELCOME TO MY HOTEL!" The voice boomed over the intercom, sounding cheerful and animated, "if you take the next right you'll see an elevator that will take you lovely guests to the foyer. Please enter."
I was gripping Masky's hand so tightly I knew I would leave marks.
As we took the right turn, just ahead were the huge elevator doors that dinged open for us.
We all stepped in, noticing there were no buttons to press.
"S-so, what now?" Toby asked as he looked around.
I was about to respond when the mystery person over the intercom spoke again, "you might wanna hold on to something!"
This was followed by maniacal laughter and before I could even brace myself the elevator began to descend, picking up speed so fast I couldn't even release the scream that lodged itself in my throat.
Down we went, faster and faster until I felt like I was going to barf up my entire digestive system. I didn't even notice when I ended up on the floor, but I did, however, feel the temperature in the elevator rising significantly the farther down we went.
"Ah, fuck!" Amy cursed, bracing herself against the wall, her long hair flying upwards.
The three boys somehow held their composure throughout the descent as the lights flickered in and out and I noticed the elevator was actually starting to slow down little by little after a while.
Masky reached down a hand to help me stand on my wobbly legs as the elevator came to a sudden stop on floor -666, the doors dinging open instantly.
"Now that's gotta get your blood pumping!"
I was feeling a sort of heavy disdain towards the man over the intercom, gritting my teeth as we exited the elevator.
Heat washed over us immediately and I groaned.
If you're gonna have a hotel this far underground, you need a cooling system dude.
The foyer was fancy with most of the furniture being black with gold trimmings. Different sized mirrors arranged in an abstract manner, created a chaotic vibe highlighting just how much character this designer possessed.
Not to mention the spikes everywhere, and I do mean everywhere. Even if you wanted to get comfortable you couldn't because the well stuffed couches in the room were definitely not for sitting on.
"Fucking emo boys," Amy complained audibly, still steadying herself after the elevator of doom, flicking up two middle fingers to the ceiling as she looked for the cameras, "you dick."

"Oh my!" the voice from earlier cooed in a way that chilled me to the bone, "is that any way to treat your host?"
The lighting in the room dimmed and black smoke rose around us before solidifying and revealing who I thought to be Zalgo.
He was grinning so wide his face seemed distorted, his sharp, sharklike teeth gleaming under the overhead lights as he towered over all of us.
His eyes were on Amy.
Was he offended? I didn't know demons could be so sensative.
Even though Zalgo hadn't turned us to putty yet, I still stood out of his line of sight, hiding behind Masky.
Amy looked unbothered as she glared back at the mischievous Zalgo.
His hair was so black it seemed to suck all the light from the very room and his body was releasing so much heat I could feel it from where I stood. Red hot liquid bulged in his veins, casting him in an eerie glow and his clawed hands were held behind his back.
"I'll deal with you later, I suppose."
Amy's eyes instantly met mine as we gave each other "oh shit" looks.
"You sure are hard to track down," Masky spoke up, taking Zalgo's attention away from Amy.
"Not hard enough apparently," the demon rumbled, turning to face us. I looked away instantly, ducking behind Masky.
This guy gave me the heebie jeebies.
"Did you bring me these two humans as offerings?" He asked.
My mouth fell open and once again I looked over at Amy but she was being blocked by Hoodie who seemed to be ready to defend her.
"Oh I'm kidding! I know who you all are, and I must say what an inspiring bunch of misfits."
Zalgo's entire demeanor seemed to change as he let out a laugh and turned away from us, heading to another elevator across the room.
"Follow me, we have much to discuss."
Zalgo entered the elevator but as he turned around he saw that we were all staring at him warily.
"Really?" Amy rolled her eyes, "Are you trying to give someone a heart attack?"
"That sounds like a fun time but I promise this lift is completely safe. That first one was for showing up unannounced."
I heard Masky release a sigh and I followed him to the elevator. The others joined us and as the doors closed Zalgo gave us all a wide smile.
"Enjoy~" he cooed softly as I saw him turn to smoke once more, vanishing into thin air.
The next thing I heard was my own scream as the elevator shot downwards

Floor -1000 seemed to just be Zalgos personal lair as it had actual furniture and also just ahead of us was where he sat on this throne, two magnificent blue orbs burning brightly above his head and lighting the room dimly.

All around him were what I assumed other demons, some laying by the foot of the throne while others rubbed him all over, their skins glowing with the same red as Zalgo's, contrasting with their skin which was as dark as obsidian.
"You're an asshole," Amy cursed at him as we exited the elevator more wobbly than the last time. I guess this time she didn't care if he was a literal demon.
She was pissed, and for good reason.
I literally saw her soul leave her body that time.
"I aim to please," was Zalgos response.
For some reason I felt like those two had some kind of tension between then and it made a few questions pop into my head.
I was suddenly brought back to the present as I heard Masky say my name.
"Ah, only one huh?" Zalgo questioned.
"Wha-"
"Yeah but she's willing, that's why we're here."
"Willing? Uh excuse me?" I looked from one to the other, "what exactly am I willing to do?"
Zalgo chuckled in amusement, "you must be so confused. This one here," he gestured to masky, "he wants me to make you my proxy."
"Wha-?" I had no idea what that meant.
"Actually-" Masky started but Zalgo cut him off by raising a hand.
"If I make you my proxy, Slenderman will no longer have motive to kill you. Isn't that the main reason you're here today?"
"Well we were hoping there were other options," Masky looked at me before looking back at Zalgo, "she wants to continue living a normal life."
This seemed to peak Zalgos interest as he sat up straighter from his more relaxed position.
"Yes, she does doesn't she? But surely it would be hard for her if she went back into society. Unless, you want me to do something about that instead."
He smiled at the realization and suddenly he was getting up, sauntering down the stairs to face us.
"She wants to retain her humanity, but I have a feeling you want something completely different, Mr Wright."
"I want whatever she wants."
I looked over at Masky.
I didn't know him well enough yet to tell when he was lying but that clearly sounded like a lie. I saw Amy flop onto one of the couches after Toby, while Hoodie was standing guard as usual.
Zalgo was removing his gloves as he approached us, "I can take care of that for you but I might have to call in a favor for such a wide-scale deletion. As for that one," he pointed at Amy who was sprawled out on the couch without a care in the world, "she shall serve in his harem for a year."
Woah Woah!
Harem? Who's harem? Why?
"Non-negotiable," Zalgo added before anyone could respond, "it's been a while since I've talked with my good friend Offender. A new human usually puts him in good spirits, otherwise I doubt he'll agree to do me this favor."
"I'm not joining anyone's harem," I heard Amy protest and Hoodie grunted in agreement.
"Amy's right. We need your help but she's not joining a harem," I finally found my voice.
Zalgo didn't seem to care what was said as red smoke began to envelop him and in an instant he was gone.
"Seriously?" Amy threw her hands up in frustration.
"Y-you don't have to w-worry," Toby had pushed his goggles up on top of his head as he looked down at Amy, "Offenderman n-no longer has a harem. Zalgo is w-way out of the loop."
I sighed heavily in relief and flopped onto one of the couches.
Kill one cheerleader and your life just goes to hell.
At least we were getting somewhere though. Maybe this time tomorrow I could be on a beach soaking up some much-needed vitamin D.
I felt eyes on me and looked up to see Masky.
For some reason, my heart rate quickened and I looked away just as quickly.
"Come here," I felt him grab my arm, pulling me up from the couch.
What now?
"Do you trust me now?"
I rolled my eyes but gave him a small smile soon after, "well, I'm still alive I guess."
"Yes, and you're not allowed to die-"
"Aww you don't want me to-"
"Unless it's by my hands."
I screwed up my face as I looked up at him. How can someone say that with a straight face?
"I take it back. I don't trust you. At all." I gave him an exaggerated glare.
He chuckled and pulled me closer, nuzzling his face in the crook of my neck, "I'm just kidding."
There! Another lie.
I pulled away from him, my cheeks hot as I knew the others had seen our moment.
Oh crap. That was-
"At this point just ask her out," Amy deadpanned from behind me.
I bit my lip and let my hands drop to my sides, "I'm uh- gonna find a bathroom."
I shuffled away from the others, cringing from my own embarrassment.
I couldn't wait for the night to end.
