It was D-Day.
Singto thought his heart was going to burst from the amount of nervousness he was having at the moment. The butterflies in his tummy was dancing in all of different genres of music.
He took a last look at himself in the mirror and fixed his tie before taking in a deep heavy breath.
His head turned to the door when he hear the knocking. When he saw his mother assuring smile, his lips formed a smile as well.
"You ready?"
Singto nodded eventhough he was half sure of whatever he was feeling. He knows he had to do this, he was just unsure how it would turn out in the end.
"Your father said he's gonna follow after. He needs to check on the team first." his mother said and he nodded again.
Ah. Right.
The conference day was on the same day as the championship game. It couldn't be helped. When they got to know that, the news was already been spread to the reporters and media so they had no other choices but to just go along with the plan. And its not that they can change the date of the championship game so his father was stuck.

"Singto.. let's go.." his manager called out when he was trying to calm himself. Singto nodded before taking a deep breath for the nth time. Its not that he wasn't used to the camera. He was just nervous to death. He was still hoping for the floor to suck him and make him dissapear from this world even for just one day.
He stood up — fixed his tie and blazer that was wrapping his body, putting his phone in his pocket before walking out—following his manager to the conference room. As he walked in, the camera shutters starts to blinked till he had to control not to squint his eyes or the photos won't come out decent. When he arrived at the table, he looked for his parents but he was dissapointed when he just saw his mother making a sign that she doesnt know where his father is. Singto decided to believe in him and waited but eventually he didn't appear when they started.

The conference ended an hour later, without any signs of his father's presence. Eventhough he smiled, the hint of dissapointment in his eyes was too obvious. He didn't know what happened, he was worried but his mother tells him that his father probably got stuck at the game.. He is the coach after all. He was a bit dissapointed but being a good son he is, he tried to shove away those unwanted feelings from his heart and mind.
Unfortunately the happy smile that was plastered on his father's face when he came home that evening didn't make Singto's heart better. It got even worse when he saw Krist coming out of his father's car, all smile greeting Singto's mother with a big hug. Apparently they won the championship. That explains the delighted smile on their faces.
After congratulating them with a smile, Singto tried not to show his sadness too much and he told them that he would be in his room.
"Aren't you coming with us?" Krist asked and Singto shake his head. He was too uncomfortable to be smiling sincerely with the team so its best for him not to join the dinner. Singto saw a hint of dissapointment on Krist's face when he said that but he didnt want to be so sure of it. He could be wrong.
"I'm tired. I think I'll go to bed early tonight."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah.. Have fun.."
After the goodbyes and the advices his mother told him, he sighed as he watch the car drove away from the pavement. Singto is not the type to get mad or raise his voice to anyone, so whatever shits that goes on in his head, he would keep it all by himself. It was something he learned to do when he was in America. Its not easy to explain his feelings when his friends doesnt speak the same language as him. Sure, he knows how to speak English, but potraying and explaining his feelings is a little bit hard to do in a foreign language. He always choose to bottle it up.

The morning sun that creaks between the curtains woke Singto up from his short slumber. He yawned a couple of times before finally deciding to get up and clean up. After his press conference yesterday, his manager had told him that he was supposed to make a comeback in 2 months. Upon hearing that, Singto made a promise to himself that he needs to go to the gym again to gain back his stamina that he lost due to his hospital appointments and rest. He was becoming a bit chubbier than the day he came back and his manager scolded him once they met two days ago.
The media had released the news about his statements yesterday. He was relieved that he was able to tell everyone that he was not in a good condition after an injury during practice and a car accident that follows after the incident. He had a brain damage but it wasn't anything serious and his memories aren't at stake. He's only having headaches every now and then. He was told to rest so because it was disturbing his focus since he kept on getting the attack during practice. He was glad that he could tell everyone eventhough he didn't really explain what really happened during the accident, and who he was with. That doesn't have to be out for the world to know. But anyways, all in all, everything was settled.
Few minutes in the toilet, Singto came out and rummaged through his closet to find something to wear for the gym. As he was looking for his sports wear, he saw a blue photo album with a big 'S&J' written on the cover with a glitter pen. He took the album and went to the bed—forgetting that he was supposed to wear his shirt.
He went through the pictures—one by one, smiling when he was at it. He remembers every little detail that happened behind the pretty and funny pictures he had. Of course, those were the most beautiful memories he had ever had in his life—apart from being with his family. His one and only person that understands him, thats always been there for him when he was weak. They haven't seen each other for almost 3 years already, with him being busy with the games and she was busy juggling her time with her job and other things she needs to take care of. Not to mention they have a different time zone that makes it hard for them to stay in contact which is why he often always hears from her once a week.
Singto sighed.
He missed Janhae.

Things such as growing stronger, becoming smarter, feeling more agile, became possible within short periods of time from that point onwards. The one who regretted his weak healing abilities for years began to chase after the magic powers that could turn reason and sense upside down while keeping his goal, this duty to the wrongs he committed. The other one, who complained about his lack of strength, strove towards the path of an unbeatable champion to protect those he held dear. When the person who had everything found a path to desire for more, not fearing the consequences and the obstacles, he also began to walk onwards to a new life. And among them, the one who walked aimlessly but also never stepped down on the choices he made along the way, was the one who couldn’t be ignored nor disrespected by anyone. The “Player” system that they all obtained, and which granted them several abilities, knowledge and directions, was also the beginning of an entire new era in this world where monsters, magic and technology, were already common and wide-spread.
