He saw it again.
His dad and Krist being far too close for his liking.
He didn't want to judge but he wasn't exactly comfortable with the relationship. He likes Krist. The captain is a great guy. He has nothing against the captain but what he doesn't like is his dad seemed a bit different around Krist. Their being too touchy and sometimes its hard not to get the wrong idea.
Is it only him?
Is he the only one that thinks his father has an affair?
With a boy?
Is that even possible?
Singto shakes his head vigorously. That's not true. His father loves his mother. They're so loving towards each other so how can his father do that? That's just doesn't make sense. He thought nodding his head a few time, agreeing with his own mind.
But
What if it's just for show? To make him feel comfortable? What if even his mother doesn't know about all this?
SINGTO PRACHAYA! STOP THINKING NONSENSE! THAT'S JUST STUPID.
His inner voice shouted at him. He tried to ignore any voice that came again as he walked down the hallway. His steps was stopped by a sight in front of him.
Wow..
That's big.
The big sized poster in front of him caught his attention. Well it was huge, it couldn't go unseen by anyone. It was a picture of the basketball team with Krist in the center. He realised that the team is a huge deal for the school. It was like that for his school back in US too. They had a picture of the team all over the school especially when the regionasl approaching. The school would be covered by the blue and gold flag all over.
"P' Singto," he heard a voice calling him from the balcony so he looked up and saw Gun, someone he met during basketball practice. Gun wasn't a player, he was rather a manager who keeps the team in place besides the coaches. There's been rumors going around that Gun has been dating one of the team player but no one actually confirmed that. But it's not that Singto actually cared anyways.

Footsteps was heard approaching him so Singto waited where he stand.
"You're not going to the gym?" Gun asked, his hands was holding a purple file which Singto guessed was the team's thingy he likes to carry around.
"I am. But I was just strolling around." Singto replied with a smile.
"Wanna go with me? I'm on my way there." he gestured to the files in his hands. Singto took a few seconds to think before agreeing to the offer. They walked to the gym together and god knows how hard Singto was praying that he won't witness any 'moments' of his father and Krist.
*****
He tried everything to make himself fall asleep but nothing was working. After a few turns and pushups before bed, he finally gave up. He sat up on his bed and sighed heavily. It was already 2 am but he couldn't make himself sleep. The problem was not because he wasn't sleepy, it was because there are a lot of things he had in mind.
Before going home from practice that day, he had yet again witness the moment. His father patting Krist's head with adoration in his eyes that would only happen with his mom or himself. Again, Singto felt the need to punch himself because of nonsense thinking. After a few head banging on the wall, he decided to go down to the kitchen to get something for his throat.
"Oh my god!" he almost screamed his lungs out when he saw someone at the fridge.
"Mom? Why didn't you turn on the lights?" he asked as he tapped the switch of the lights.
"I was just gonna take this and go back to bed. Sorry I startled you." his mom said, laughing apologetically. He approached her and took the glass off the shelf and reached for a bottle of water from the fridge.

"Why are you still up?" he asked.
"I wasn't.. I was sleeping but I don't know how my alarm went off. I didn't remember setting it at 2 but that happened." she said as she was still looking as she was confused. "Why are you still up?"
"Thinking.." he replied earning a look from his mother. That face asking for further explanation made Singto laughed.
"Its nothing, mom. Just some random thoughts at 2 o clock." he said, trying to convince his mother. But of course, it doesn't work. His mother gave him a look again, but for some unknown reason, she let him off the hook.
"Alright.. If you say so." she said, sipping in the drink. Singto stared at her, still thinking in his mind.
"Mom...." his mother turned to him, raising a brow as she looked at him. Singto paused before deciding to spoke out.
"Do you.......... love dad?" his mother's face changed. Obviously what he asked wasn't what she was expecting at all. She laughed.
"Why are you asking me out of sudden? Are you having relationship problems?" she asked, obviously amused by the sudden question.
"You know I'm not in a relationship, ma.. I'm just asking." he asked, a pout was evident on his lips as his mother laughed at him.
"Of course I do. Why would I still be here if I don't?" it seems like it was so funny for her from the reaction she was showing.
"I don't know. I was just curious." he said, almost whispering as he wasn't so sure what to think at the moment.
"You have someone you're interested in?" Singto was a bit confused by the question but he shake his head.
"No.. I don't really have time for that, ma.." he replied.. "I still have to prepare for my press conference." he said. Speaking about that, Singto is still worried about his press conference. Will he be able to explain to the world what happened exactly? He just disappeared from the media for almost 2 months and he was sure people wants to know the truth. His management decided to hold a press conference so whether he like it or not, he had to attend it.

46 Year Old Syndrome
The daily Litrpg journal of a fairly average 46 year old man in a world where hundreds of thousands of people suddenly have a super power.Follow him as he learns skills, runs away a lot, suffers crippling headaches, avoids reading his titles, and tries to avoid breaking his body that didn't get enough calcium and vegetables.[Disclaimer 1: Despite the following, I will fix any typos pointed out. This is a writing exercise so chapters are mostly first drafts, otherwise I'd end up rewriting each chapter for a month or more with no real changes. My goals are a steady output by not using perfectionism as a procrastination method. I've already got laziness and additions to reading/games, I don't need a 3rd reason to procrastinate.][Disclaimer 2: The main character is a more normalized version of me, with 170% less laziness installed, and a few buffs like greater courage. Other things like having a job are partially similar. No other characters are based on real people because most people I know are either too normal to be useful or too fucked in the head to be believable.]

The Adventures of Rat Damon
12/20/2021: we're back to work! Rat Damon reflects on his life of adventuring, both before and after meeting Jack Jensen of earth. He recounts many of his experiences, both happy and sad. He regales you with the tales of power found and love lost. This is a side-adventure based on our The Other Guys series. Rat Damon makes an appearance in Heroes of Last Resort but is much more than a simple rat. What I will post here is going to be a lot rougher than Heroes as I am writing and posting as I go along, so my apologies go out to you in advance! However, I will revise as needed as we go along. As writing isn't my full-time gig, the posting of new material here will likely be a bit irregular and as far as what length this book will be, it remains to be seen. This was originally envisioned to be a 30-40k word novella but one never knows where the story will take me. Do not fret, book 2 in the series is well on its way, in fact much farther along than this novel(la?). We will see where Rat Damon takes, I guess! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy this as much as I had writing it.
