Daisy's Pov

It's been a month since the get-together we had at Ian's. I have become a lot closer to all of them, it feels good have a family who always looks for you, takes care of you, and friends who are always there to entertain and talk once in while.

The joint project between Kings and Williams is officially announced last week, there was a huge uproar in business world due to collaboration betweentwo largest companies.

Williams and Kings have always been on good terms. My dad and Ethan's dad have been friends from their college days and as if it was not enough my mom and Olivia are best friends from their college days.

If not for having different surname, people might have thought that my dad and Ethan's dad are real brothers and our mom's are sisters.

The best relation in the world can be considered to be the realation of friendship.

This beautiful friendship had come on an end due to Emma or rather because of Ethan's love for Emma. Years of brotherhood and friendship had been destroyed due to one single person.

I wonder how sad my mom or Olivia might have been due to this, may be this was why Olivia was so hostile towards Emma in the novel.

Ethan's parents never approved of his relation with Emma, he was even thrown out of the family without any assets .

When Maxwell King, Ethan's dad had found out about his bestfrend's death he was disappointed in his son, just for one person his son had left everything behind his parents, his friends, his family and everything which had kept him away from Emma.

After Ava's death Olivia was considered to be ill for years, she never accepted Emma even after they had forgiven Ethan, because her best friend had commited suicide due to Emma how can she accept it. Olivia had always liked Daisy, she wanted her to be her daughter-in-law but after Daisy's death, Olivia was heart broken.

At the end of the book the only one's who were happy were Emma and Ethan.

Ethan who is so close to his parent's, close to his friends and so close to Daisy's parents, I wonder how could he have been so ruthless to abandon all of them. How in the world did he come to hate Daisy's parents so much? Because as far as I know Daisy's parents had never offended Ethan, infact they have treated him as their own son.

Is there something more to the story?

It was no need for him to destroy the Williams for the mistakes commited by Daisy. Her only mistake was that she loved a wrong person who was not supposed to be her's at the first place.

Due to her love for Ethan, Daisy had troubled Emma a lot like insulting her in public, for her not belonging into the upper class. Daisy had humiliated Emma at every point, but she did not go to an extent to kill her.

So what was the reason for her to end so badly? There is definitely something which was not been explained in the story. Because looking at Ethan who is so good to Daisy and her parents I don't think he will retaliate against them for such a small reason like offending Emma.

One thing I am sure of is that Emma does not seem to be simple as she shows, because the way she behaved when we met at the store is not like a normal person.

She was acting like a higher level bitch. Ethan had just asked her whether he knew her or not but she had such a aggreaved expression that one might think he had used her and thrown her away.

Any normal person would not behave in such a way, right?

I haven't thought of it at that moment, but when I come to think of it now, Emma surely is a green tea bitch. She perfectly knows how to play with men's emotions and heart's . May be I'm wrong, but its better to be catious, right?

I had hired an detective to find about Emma and what had she been doing all this years. I had wanted to know how she enrolled into the same university as that of Ethan's. Because he was at one of the best universities in country. It is not easy to enroll there. I hope she had been there due to her grades and not with some underhand method. I won't want to deal with extra trouble.

If she is not as simple as she shows then I will definitely deal with her, if not then it is well and good. I won't interfere if she is really good. But if not then I will have to think about dealing with her.

Coming to present, I have been working non-stop for month. The collaboration project between Kings and Williams had been going smoothly but it's a lot of work to do. At last it came to an end after lots and lots of work. I am planning to go on a long vacation with mom and dad. Family bonding is also important, and may be we can relax. Dad had been working alongside me and I know he is exhausted as well.

The ringing of my phone brought me out of my thoughts.

" Hello dad" I wonder why he called all of a sudden, he went home just an hour ago, I am sitting at my apartment going over some files. Its 9 pm now.

" Daisy pack your bags for a week, we are leaving to South Carolina." dad hurriedly said.

" Where to? Whats wrong? Did something happen to you or mom?" I stood up from the couch walking towards my room with files.

" Yeah we are all right. But I just received a call from Uncle Max informing me that Ethan's grandpa is not feeling well and it seems to be quite serious, he said that Ethan's grandma called and informed all us to come ASAP. Ethan might be there in 15 to pick you up." I could hear mom's voice asking him to pack his bags.

" Okay I will be ready in 5" I said going to my closet and started packing some clothes appropriate for a week trip.

" Okay we will meet you at the Airport" he hung up.

Uncle Maxwell's parents have been like my grandparents, Diasy have always been close to them. Friendship between King's and Williams have been extended all the way from my grandparents I mean Daisy's grandparents. Both of our grandparent's mine and Ethan's live in South Carolina, to be more specific they live in Charleston.

As it is winter I packed some warm clothes like some dark jeans, down jacket, other things can be bought after arriving there. I checked the time, Ethan will be here in 10 min I have to hurry.

I ran towards bathroom and changed into a skinny high waisted white jeans, white croptop and a light brown long sleeve lapel collar jacket. Just as I setteled my hair I heard the doorbell ring.

" Coming"

I wore my shoes and pushed my luggage towards the door, as soon as I opened the door, Ethan's beautiful face came into view. He is wearing white shirt and black narrow jeans. His brown hair are slightly messed may be due to continuously running a hand over it. I moved my eyes to his face to find him looking at me with his eyes twinking with mischief and smirk plasted on his face.

Shit he caught me checking him out.

" Done fiesting your eyes, Buttercup?" he arched his eyebrow.

Is there something more embarrasing that being caught checking someone out.

I felt my ears turning hot, clearing my throat I quikly averted my eyes from him and closed the door.

" What's wrong with grandpa?" I tried to change the subject.

He helped me with my luggage as we walked towards his car," Grandma did not tell specifics, she just said grandpa is not well and we all need to come visit ASAP."

" Oh? I hope there is nothing serious."

" Yeah, I just hope nothing happens to him." he sighed starting to drive. He is quite close to his grandparents , well who won't right?

I did not have grandparents in my last life, I always wished to have them. My faternal grandparents died before my birth and my maternal grandparents never close with me.

Daisy in novel is quite close to both hers and Ethan's grandparents.

We boarded with mine and Ethan's parents, no one spoke, all were tensed regarding grandpa's health.

It takes near about 2 hours by plane to arrive at South Carolina from New York.

As soon as we arrived at Ethan's grandparents the seen in the hall shocked us. We all stood at door frozen with surprise and our eyes widened.

On the couch in living room there sat Daisy's grandparents happily chatting with Ethan's grandparents. Grandpa King was laughing with Grandpa Williams and my grandma was chatting with Ethans grandpa.

" How do you think those unfilial kids will react when they come to know that I fooled them?" Ethan's grandma asked with a proud expression.

My god...

Aunt Olivia widened her eyes with horror, my mom's face was comical.

Uncle Max widened his eyes and looked over at dad.

" It was wrong of you to make an excuse about my health" Grandpa King exclaimed shaking his head at his wife's childishness.

Grandma scoffed rolling her eyes," Old man you don't know anything. You are not going to die just by a small joke right? Anyways they deserve it, they haven't been home for almost a year now."

My grandma agreed," Yeah, I agree they deserve it."

Ethan's grandpa and my grandpa shook their head sighing.

" MOM.........." both my dad and Uncle Max's voice boomed into the house.

Both the grandma's stood up from the couch like they were sturuck with lightening.

OH Boy...this is going to be fun.
