From the cornor of my I saw Ian smirking, I don't know what goes around in the head of this people.

The male lead is standing infront of me staring as if I killed his cat or something.

Okay then, we two can play this game, I have been in business world for more than 5 years in my last world. If these people are compared to me, then they are just like jumping jocks who are trying to intimidate me. I stared at Ethan without blinking, I have never lost in this type of fights. Today either he will speak or no one will speak at all. They guest have started to notice the odd atmosphere between us.

" Babygirl, is that you?" I heard a voice to which I was familiar for more than a year, I moved my gaze past Ethan, I couldn't help smiling at the sight of hansome guy standing there.

Brushing past Ethan, I walked towards the source of voice. Mason Taylor, my buddy in Uk for almost a year, I met him when I first transmigrated into this world. We met in the summit held by UK student union at London.

He has dirty blonde hair and grey eyes. But the only problem is that he is a gay or else I would have dated him, really a catch.

Mason hugged me tightly hoisting me up from my feet, I was almost hanging to his neck like a koala. I laughed feeling familiar friendly warmth from him.

" I missed you, babygir" he whispered kissing the side of my head then releasing me.

" I missed you too. Why didn't you inform me that you were gonna be here in America? I would have picked you up." I asked looking into his beautiful grey eyes which were smiling down at me.

" I wanted to, but Jack told not too, he wanted to surprise you. We landed just this morning and I knew you would be here, thought lets surprise you. What do you think? You liked it?" he asked with a smile showing his perfect white teeth. Jack Wilson is Mason's boyfriend, they have been together for almost 3 years now.

" Liked it? I loved it. I am too happy to see you. Where's Jack? I wanna meet him too " I looked behind him to find Jack.

"He will be here, some business is keeping him busy. Don't worry he will definitely meet you. Babygirl, did you offend someone? Because I sure as hell feel that the preety guy there is throwing daggers at you." Mason whispered eyeing behind me. I turned around to find Ethan King staring at us. Whar's wrong with this guy?

" Come let me introduce you to some off my friends." I said taking Mason's hand to bring him near Ethan and all others.

" Mason meet my friends this is Ian, Rey, Ashton, Jenna, Laila, Alex and Ethan. " I introduced them to Mason.

" Hello, Nice to meet you. I am Mason Taylor, my babygirl's bestfriend all the way from UK." he greeted in his beautiful british accent.

" Good to meet you, Mason"

" Yeah, its nice to meet you"

They all greeted. Ethan just gave a curt nod, anyways who cares about him.

The banquet ended with Mason mixing with all my friends except Ethan. I guess this guy was constipating, can't he atleast give a polite smile to people? Its better to stay away from this type of people.

I insisted Mason to accomodate my place but he declined saying he wanted stay alone with Jack.

Before leaving the King's Mansion, Aunt Olivia made me promise to come visit her once in a while. I promised to meet her. I made some connections in the banquet, in business the most important quality one should have is to make friends.

Next morning, I entered office with dad. I was dressed in high waisted pencil black skirt which ends just above my knee by few inches and white full sleeve shirt. I had my hair in bun, it looked classy with 5 inch heels.

As I entered William's & Co. building there were employee's scattered all round. They greeted while we walked to dad's offfice. Dad's office was on the the 36th floor. I looked around his office taking a seat at one of the chairs opposite to Dad's.

" Don't overwork yourself princess. This is my assistant Ryan, if you ever need anything, find me if I am not availaible, please contact Ryan. " dad said bringing me to my office which was just beside dad's. I am going to work closely with dad. He says I can learn faster by staying near him.

The one thing I have done all my life is learing business and I don't think, that the one thing I am good at, will ever be problem to me.

For next half year I worked with dad, he was impressed with my fast learing capacity. I have handled a lot of big projects with dad, making connections with new people in business.

I did not pay attention to male lead's side, if I am not wrong then Emma aka female lead is not going to show up for almost next half a year. She is going to join directly as Ethan's assistant.

I often visited Olivia King for dinners with mom. Its my luck that I did not encounter Ethan in any fo those visits and if I encountered I just greeted with a curt nod.

I have gained a lot of support in company, the board of directors are satisfied with my working capacity and speed. So far there has been no problem in running the company. If I don't get entangled with Ethan and Emma, I am sure this will continue, the company won't face any problems and mom and dad will surely live a happy life.

I was sitting in my office working on a file, when dad's assistant Ryan informed me to meet dad into his office.

I walked towards dad's office door and knocked, when I heard a soft come in I entered too see Dad talking with none other than Ethan King. I almost forgot that Williams and King's are going to work on a joint project.

" Dad, you called me?" I asked giving a nod to Ethan he responded with his own curt nod.

" Yes, I wanted to inform you that you are going to work on the project between Kings and Williams as a head. And Ethan is here is for the project, I hope you both will work together." Dad informed me.

Like really informed me. This was not in the main story, in the story Daisy was hell bent to work with Ethan that she begged her dad to lead this project, but I didn't even wanted to be part of this project at all.

" Are you sure dad? I mean, I have my hands full with other projects and this is a big project" I said dad giving him a hint with my eyes to not to pair me with Ethan.

" I am sure dear, I have full confidence that you will do a great job. Ethan, please take care of my daughter" Dad said, it felt like he is giving his daughter to Ethan at the alter. I mean come on I don't want to be near this man at all.

" By all means. I hope to work together with you Daisy" Ethan said, looking at me with his deep blue eyes.

" Okay, if you say so. Happy co-operation. I will meet you tommor..." I started

" Ethan why don't you go have a lunch with Daisy and discuss some business ." this man really wants to sell his daughter.

" Offcourse, see you soon Uncle Williams." Ethan said, standing up form his seat opposite to dad.

" Okay enjoy lunch you two" dad said smiling at him. I glared at dad, in return he just gave a innocent look.

" After you" I was standing glaring at dad when Ethan walked towards me extending his hand to open the door for me. I gave one of the best professional smile and walked out of dad's office.

Ethan's car was waiting for us when we were outside the building. His chauffeur opened the door for me, I thanked him and entered his black Bentley, Ethan entered form other side.

We sat in silence as the car started to move. I am not going to break the silence at all.

I can even smell his perfume sitting so close to him.

" How are you coping up with work?" he suddenly asked breaking my line of thoughts.

" Its good" I replied, trying to be as short as possible. I really don't want to talk to him outside work.

" The Hawaii project was handled quite well. Uncle Elijah, was praising you a lot."

The Hawaii project was being dragged for almost a year before I joined the company, the reason for the project to delay was the shareholders were not settling on a common budget for building hotel in Hawaii. Due to my interference the share holders were convinced, those old geezers were really hard nuts to crack. But at the end they were convinced, by the end of winter the project will officially begin.

"Dad is just biased because I am his daughter. The project should have been handled a long time ago, its just that I happend to be in the company when the company was discussing about the project. Nothing much." I replied.

" hmm" he just hummed deep in thought.

" Sir we are here" the chauffeur informed stopping the care in front of Michelin restaurant. I exited the car thanking the chauffeur who opened the door for me.

" Good afternoon sir, ma'am. How can I help you ?" thehostess asked when we entered , giving a professional smile greeting us. I nodded.

" Table for two" Ethan relied.

" This way please." she lead us to a secluded place.

Ethan helped me with the chair, I thanked him and took a seat. He sat opposite to me. The hostess handed us menu.

" What do you like to have?" Ethan asked me looking at me with those deep blue eyes. I scanned the menu to check what to order.

" Garlic butter steak and red wine please" I said closing the menu.

" The same please" Ethan said, the waiter went to prepare our orders.

Silence

I really don't know what to speak to this guy. If I open my phone to pass the time then it will come as being rude.

Ugh...its really difficult to talk to the male lead. God knows how come the female lead becomes so comfortable to speak to this stone. Being with him is like being with a stone.

Thank god we were sitting right next to the floor to roof window atleast I can look out of the window to pass my time.

I felt Ethan's gaze on me, I continued to look out.

" Am I that unlikable?" Ethan suddenly asked, I whipped my head towards him, he was looking at me in hot gaze with some emotion playing in his eyes, I can't point what it wa,s but it disappeared quickly.

" Pardon?" I asked bewildered.

"Am I that unlikable? That you have to avoid speaking me. " he pressed on.

" No, I don't think there's need to like you in order to work with you. And I did not avoid speaking with you. Rather there's nothing common between us to speak. Don't you think so?" I asked.

Before he could answer the food arrived. He did not speak thorugh whole lunch.

My phone rang while we were walking out of restaurant, Ethan was right beside me. I excused to side and recieved the call.

" Hey, Mason. What took you so long to call me back?" I asked when the phone got connected. Mason and Jack returned to UK in 1 week after the banquet.

" Hey babygirl, I am sorry. Just busy with the business and stuff, you know right,company needs me, dad can't handle everything alone. I really missed you. Life is no fun without you." he said,

" I really miss you too. If you miss me so much why not visit me, its been like ages we last met." I chuckled.

" I plan to meet you ,but its really hard on me babygirl." he said with a feigned sadness.

" Yeah yeah, whatever...I won't speak with you even if you beg me too. Bye" I teased, entering Ethan's car.

" Hey hey hey babygirl, thats not fair. I promise to meet you soon, kay? Don't get angry. Sorry" he panicked.

" I know, I am just kidding. Meet you soon. Okay bye, I will talk to you later" I said laughing.

" Okay bye, love you" he said before hanging up.

I smiled to myself, he is really cute.

I turned my head to find cold faced Ethan, even the atmosphere inside the car turned cold.

What a jerk! I bet the driver must be wanting to crush this man's head.

" You are really good friend's with him." he said.

I smiled remembering my cute little bunny Mason.

" Yeah, we are really close. We have spend a lot of time together. He is really a bestfriend to me." I said, still smiling looking ahead.

" Bestfriend? " he said the word like it was something so bitter that he was disgusted.

I turned my head towards him to find him looking at me with dark blue eyes.

What is with him? Is he throwing a tantrum on me? Do men have periods now a days? I haven't heard of it.

Damn...do I look like someone who accepts any shit thrown at them with open arms.

" Yes bestfriend. Do you have an opinion about it?" I gave a tight lipped smile.

" No, absolutely not. Just wanted to know how fast you change your best friends" he replied looking at me dead in eyes.

" Excuse me? " is he nuts. When did I ever change bestfriends?Am I that type of person?

Ugh...this man is really infuriating.

" How does it bothers you, and do you have a right to speak about my group of friends?" I asked with clenched teeth trying to keep my temper in control.

" Sir we are here." the driver suddenly said.

I am really thankful to him, otherwise I am sure I would have given this dog man a piece of mind. I opened the door and stepped out under the watchful eyes of Ethan and slammed the door shut, walking into the building.
