《Marinette One-Shots》Alternate Realities

✨✨
Marinette Dupain-Cheng loves to dance, why? Because, when she dances, she can see the blurs if alternate realities streaming past her, and sometimes, she'll even dance through them, it's such a beautiful thing, and she wouldn't stop if the world depended on her. It's her way to cope and unwind, and as such, Marinette could often be found dancing during the hours just before sunrise.
Until she tripped. She didn't just 'trip' no, she tripped into another reality, a reality where it was dark and gloomy, a reality where the sun had not yet risen, a reality where she was alone in the park. Marinette collapsed head in her hands, she couldn't dance, her leg- well, she was pretty sure she'd broken it.
A few minutes later, a certain cat themed hero spotted her. Catwoman jumped down next to the collapsed girl. "Hey, I'm Catwoman, who are you?" she asked hoping the girl would look up, because it was the middle of the night in Gotham, no-one's out and about, so she feared the worst. The girl lifted her head and turned it to look at Catwoman. "I'm Marinette. Where are we?" Now Catwoman was confused. This girl had to have some inkling of where she was, it wouldn't make sense for her to have just shown up.
"We're in Gotham City, New York." the girl gasped. "New York, like America?" Catwoman nodded. Marinette started sobbing. Before Catwoman could reach out to comfort Marinette, she had stopped crying. Wiping her eyes, Marinette gave a beautiful sunny smile, standing up. Catwoman could immediately tell that the girl's leg was broken, how had she stood up with a leg that broken???? Marinette's eyes suddenly widened. Her hands flew to her ears,
"TIKKI?!" She yelled, and she didn't get a response, Marinette started franticly looking around, "PLAGG?!" then she collapsed again, muttering in French, obviously worrying about whoever they were. Marinette shook her head and stood up again.

"I'm sorry about that." Catwoman pulled Marinette into a hug. "Do you want to come to my lace, at least until we can get you to a hospital? You can explain what's happening there ok?" Marinette nodded, and Catwoman helped her to her house.
After Marinette explained her story, Miraculous, Lila and all, Selina was crying.
"Marinette, you leg, I don't think you should go back, at least not until it's healed." Marinette sighed and nodded, she knew they wouldn't miss her, and besides, she kinda liked it here, and it's not like she knew how to get home without shattering her bone, and even then, she might end up in another reality besides her own. "You're right. . . could I stay with you?" Selina smiled and said
"On one condition. I get to be your mother while you're here." Marinette laughed "You can be my mom all the time! Could I call you mom?" she asked timidly, and Selina grinned and pulled Marinette in for a hug.
Marinette became Lady Noir, Catwoman's protégé a thief among thief's, but also a hero. Apparently, she could still transform, but the Kwamis never did show up. Eventually, Bruce invited Selina to the Manor for dinner, and Selina brought Marinette, and Marinette meets the batboys.
"Hi I'm Marinette!" Marinette greets them, and the older ones smile at her enthusiasm. "I'm Richard but you can call me Dick!" Marinette smiled and nodded. "I'm Jason, but you can call me anything Pixie-pop." Marinette tilts her head to the side, and her eyes get that crazy tint.
"Oh? You would like me to call you anything? Ok anything." the batboys started laughing at that, before Jason could protest Marinette had turned to the next person. "And from what I can tell, you live on Coffee, am I right? You need sleep. . ." when Marinette said sleep Tim passed out, and she laughed.

"Man, I love your reality!" she said in-between laughs, and froze as if she realized what she'd said, and slammed a hand over her mouth. "Our reality?" Bruce asked, and Marinette shook her head,
"No, no, no. You must have heard me wrong. Why would I say your reality? after all, it's my reality too." they almost didn't catch the 'now' she mumbled under her breath, almost. But luckily enough, Selina re-entered the room at just that point. "Kitten! What'd you do?" Marinette smiled at Selina
"Nothing mom. They mis-heard me." there was a short pause the batboys (excluding Damian) yelled "MOM?!?!" Marinette laughed.
"Yeah, Selina sorta adopted me." Damian spoke up, surprising everybody "That would make you Lady Noir yes?" Marinette laughed so hard she fell over.
"Damn, you remind me of Felix, he figured out I was saving Par-" she slapped her hand over her moth again. Just than Alfred walked in, and Marinette turned to him, ignoring the mega confused batboys. "You're not. . . from this reality. . . are you?" Alfred's eyes widened and he stepped back,
"How did you know that?!" Marinette smiled gently at him, her next words cleared it up to him, and he understood, but nobody else did. "You were a holder of Dussu."Alfred gasped.
"No. No! You're only 14! Please tell me you're not-" Marinette smiled sadly at him "I'm sorry, it's true." Alfred rushed over and embraced her.
"Oh, you poor dear." than he noticed her ring and earrings. "You have Tikki and Plagg?! And the box? How are you still. . ." he gestured to her smile, and Marinette laughed.
"Ok, hi. Yeah, we still exist. Who the hell are you, where the hell are you from, and how the hell do you know Alfred?!" Jason spoke up, Alfred didn't even have time to tell him off before Marinette responded.
"I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I'm from Paris, but not your Paris, I'm from the Paris of a different reality. And as for Alfred, he's . . . he was a part of my organization a few hundred years ago I suspect. I mean, Master Fu definitely destroyed the temple and the miraculi, so. . . he had to have left before that."
"I'm sorry, WHAT?!" Someone yelled, and Marinette giggled.
"No, no, this won't do..." she said, watching their faces, and with that, Marinette began to spin.
Only Alfred and Selina knew what that meant.
"No! Mari, darling... please come back" Selina cried out, and Alfred sighed
"Young Misstress Marinette, it has been a pleasure to meet you, I hope our paths will cross again."
Marinette danced until the realities began to mix again, then she stepped into another one, back into Paris... only for her phone to ring.
Marinette pulled out her phone, and answered it without checking the number.
"Marinette, darling? What happened? Are you ok? You were supposed to text half an hour ago! You weren't responding! I was getting really worried!" The voice on the other end exclaimed, confusing Marinette more and more.
"Hello?" She asked, only to be greeted by silence, checking the caller number, she was surprised to find the person on the other end was listed as 'my love'
"Angel? It's Damian. Your betrothed?"
"My WHAT?!" Marinette exclaimed, before passing out

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
