《Marinette One-Shots》Quiet

Marinette woke up, in a somewhat happy mood, and picked up the book she'd left on her counter.

Marinette had promised a friend that she would read the book, even though Marinette wasn't really a reader. Settling into a chair, Marinette began to read.

Time passed, and Marinette had read more then a few chapters, and was almost completely done with the book.

"Marinette?" Sabine called from outside her room. Marinette went to yell a response, when she froze.

Marinette was sure she could've said something if she'd forced herself too, but the very idea seemed so so wrong to her... so Marinette texted her mother a response.

Confused, Sabine just yelled back, and they continued this half-conversation for a while...

The next day, when Marinette showed up to school, she was still not wanting, if you phrase it that way, to talk.

Marinette walked into the classroom, a bit earlier then usual, and handed a note to Ms. B.

I (Marinette) am currently unable to verbally communicate. Please don't ask me to speak as I will have to type/write down my response which will take a bit.

Thanks,

Marinette Dupain-Cheng

and with that, she sat down.

Alya came into the classroom after a bit, smiling when she saw her bestie already there.

"Hey Mari! What's up?" She asked, and Marinette smiled sadly at her, before gesturing to the notecard she'd placed in front of herself.

Alya read it, and smiled,

"That's ok"
