《Friends with the Frat》33~ College Calls

"Do you really have to leave?" I asked Will as I sat on his bed. He apologized in more depth about everything that happened at the store and I assured him everything was just fine.

He threw some clothes in his suitcase. He was almost done packing. He asked me to come over to help, which I didn't do much of. I made him procrastinate and now I'm just complaining. I just got him back for him to leave all over again.

"Sorry snowflake, you don't want me to fail classes do you?" He asked as he threw the rest of his clothes in.

I frowned. "If it makes you stay longer then I don't care" I answered as he walked into his bathroom.

"I have to go, snowflake. I can't change it. But now that football is over I get to come back home a lot more often. Especially when I don't have classes on Friday or Monday." He threw the toiletries on his pile of clothes in his suitcase.

He crawled onto his bed and laid his head in my lap as his body covered the rest of my legs. I ran my hand through his long blonde hair.

"I don't want to leave, Cora." He mumbled into my legs. "I'll miss you too much."

"I'll miss you too, but maybe that's the point. Maybe we're meant to be apart to strengthen our relationship." I said as I stroked his hair.

"I'm already in love with you and I know you're my soulmate. Space seems stupid now."

"Stupid?" I asked.

He nodded as much as he could. "Stupid." He confirmed.

"In that case, there's too much space between you and me," I said with a small smirk.

I could feel him grin against my thigh. He kissed it softly before crawling up and leaving his lips only centimeters away from mine.

"Close enough?" He whispered.

I shook my head. Our lips barely grazed each other as he asked. "Now?"

I couldn't shake my head or speak due to his proximity to me. My heart was beating unusually fast and butterflies fluttered in my stomach.

He pressed his lips slowly against mine and kissed me. I didn't hesitate to kiss him back harder.

Our kiss deepened as he leaned more into me.

"Are you..." Micheal's voice asked as the sound of the door opening filled my ears.

Will and I jumped up and bonked our heads together. We held our heads and Will turned around to Michael who had his eyes covered.

"I'm sorry" he apologized.

"Dad you can uncover you're eyes, nothing is happening," Will assured him.

He uncovered his eyes slowly and smiled when we were both sitting in front of him.

"I just came to ask about you're packing, clearly I interrupted something. Be safe" he said and turned around and left. He shut the door behind him.

My face was beet red. I looked over at Will who had an easy-going smile on his face.

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe that happened" I put my face on his shoulder. "It's embarrassing"

"Hey, it's just my dad." Will shrugged. "It's fine. They're not gonna think bad of you for kissing your boyfriend, snowflake."

I sighed and pulled away to look at him. "I know. It's just that they caught us"

We sat in silence for a few seconds. "You mister have to finish packing. You leave early tomorrow morning." I lightly shoved him closer to his suitcase.

"I'm done packing. Oh, I almost forgot." He hopped up and looked through the suitcase I just watched him pack for the last hour and a half.

He threw me a couple of shirts and a hoodie. "Here's my parting gift to you, I hope you like it" he leaned over and softly kissed my lips. I kissed him back.

I giggled. "You know I think it's supposed to be the other way around?"

"Snowflake, I wouldn't fit in your clothes" he teased.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Not what I meant dork. I mean I'm supposed to get you a gift."

"Your kisses will suffice." He said and kissed me again.

"I'm gonna miss you, Erickson," I told him.

"Not as much as I'll miss you, Barnes," he told me.

We sat in silence as we stared into each other's eyes. Will got up first and fished packing the remainder of his stuff into his suitcase. I just watched him as he did so. After he was done, he threw it to the side of his bed.

"What're you wearing tomorrow?" I asked.

He gesture down to what he was already wearing.

"Will, you've been wearing that all day. You can't wear it all day again." I said.

"It's only going to be for the flight. I'm taking a shower as soon as I get back to the dorm and changing out of this." He shrugged.

I rolled my eyes at him. "It's a wonder you even have a girlfriend." I laughed. "Do you want to take Bandy to the park?" I asked him.

My favorite days are watching him run around and play with Will hugging me from behind.

"I would love to," He said and we both got up and put our shoes on.

We trotted downstairs, where Karla and Micheal were talking in the dining room.

"We're gonna go take Bandit to the park for a little bit. We'll be back by dinner, if it okay for Cora to eat here?" He asked.

"Of course, you both know she's always welcome" Karla answered with a smile.

Will nodded. "Okay, we'll be back. Love you" he said and we walked out of the door.

We drove to my house. No one was home, so we grabbed Bandit from my room. He was early waiting for someone to let him out of his cage.

"Hi buddy" I cooed at him. He wagged his tail happily.

Will grabbed his leash and toys while I let him out. He jumped around a little, but listened when I told him to get down.

He was so excited to see Will again. Will bent down and loved on him for a minute. I couldn't help but take a picture and post it on instagram with the caption 'he missed his dad

"Okay let's go" I said and Will put him on his leash although he really didn't need it.

We all walked to the car together like a little family. "Up" I told bandit and he jumped into the truck.

I was so proud of my little baby. I can't believe it's been over a year since he came to Will and I that one day.

We drove to the park and Bandit got more excited the closer we got. He lives the park. He should start running with me more.

Once we got there and got everything out. We started playing frisbee and fetch with Bandit. He loved every minute of it. Will eyes showed adoration as he played with Bandit.

Soon enough Will wrapped his arms around my stomach from behind.

"Look how happy he is" he whispered in my ear. I leaned my head back on his shoulder.

"He's the happiest" I smiled.

"You're going to make a great mother one day snowflake" he kissed my cheek.

"And you're going to make a great father, babe" I told him.

I looked to the side, into Will's eyes. He kissed me slowly.

Oh how I missed this.

"I love you Cora Maeve" he whispered against my lips.

"I love you William Orion" I whispered back with a smile.

Bandit's bark broke us apart and caused us to bust out laughing. Bandit barked again for attention, which for the record we both gave him immediately.

I dreaded the next day more than anything. We'd just gotten back together and didn't have a lot of time together before he just had to leave again.

I was practically on top of him in the car on the way to the airport. I wanted to be as close as possible to him before he left me until spring break.

"Babe I'm not gonna leave forever" he whispered to me.

"I just don't want you to leave you at all." I frowned. "I don't want you to leave me"

"I don't want to leave, but you know I have to. The rest of your senior year starts next week and you'll be too focused on that to think about me."

"I'll always think about you no matter what." I told him.

We pulled into the parking lot of the airport. Micheal found a parking spot close enough to the gate.

We all got out and Will grabbed his carry on. Micheal grabbed the suitcase from the trunk. Micheal and Will checked in Will and his bags. Karla and I stayed off to the side.

"I'm gonna miss him" cried Karla. I gave her a hug.

"It's okay. I'm gonna miss him too. The second goodbye is always the hardest, or in this case the third time" I tried to lighten the mood.

She chuckled slightly at me. "I know you're going to have a hard time with this Cora. I know you and Will weren't exactly on the best terms during most of this break. Him leaving not long after you make up, is not the best feeling thing. I understand and if you need anyone to talk to just know I'm always here for you" she said.

I hugged her again. "Thank you Karla, honestly, sometimes I don't know what I'd do without you" I wiped the tears that escaped my eyes.

Will and Michael walked over to us with smiles on their faces.

"Woah something deep happened while we were gone" Micheal said. "Would you like us to come back later perhaps?" He teased and Karla playfully hit his shoulder with a laugh.

"We got everything ready, all I need is to be called to board." Will explained.

I nodded in understanding. He grabbed my hand and pulled me away from his parents.

"I just wanted to say goodbye properly before we get caught up in everything." He said and we looked into each others eyes.

I can't believe I get to look into those amber eyes for the rest of my life.

"I love you Cora. More than anything in the entire world. I hope you know that. I know I might not have been the best at showing it lately, but I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. This is going to sound a little weird but will you marry me?"

My jaw literally dropped when he asked me that. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to answer this question.

"I want to wake up next to you every morning. I want to make you breakfast in bed. I want to have beautiful children with you. I want to spend every waking second of the rest of my life with you as my one true love. This isn't a real proposal but I would like to know if you want to marry me, just as much as I want to marry you someday."

"Yes yes of course, Will. That's what this is for." I held up my left hand to show him the promise ring he got me for Christmas.

"I love you Barnes" he rested his forehead on mine.

"I love you too Erickson."

Without a second thought, he crashed his lips into mine and I kissed him back. I love him more than anything and I'm so happy that this is the man I get to spend the rest of my life with. I couldn't have asked for a better love.

We broke apart and I couldn't stop smiling. I know he was leaving, but his words never ceased to amaze me.

"Goodbye snowflake"

"Goodbye Babe"

We squeezed each other tight and held our bodies close.

"Now boarding Flight 378. Now boarding Flight 378" the person called over then intercom.

He hugged me one last time, then he hugged his parents. Of course they were both crying, though I doubt Micheal would ever admit it.

He said his last goodbyes before turning around and boarding his flight.

"Only 68 more days until we get to see him again" I told Karla.

She chuckled and hugged me.

"Let's go home" she said.

We all turned around and headed out the front doors.
