《Friends with the Frat》20~ Tension

"Let's go let's go let's go!" I said practically pushing Will out of his house.
He laughed it went along with me.
"Woah where's the fire?" Micheal laughed as we passed by the living room.
"Sorry Micheal, we're going to my house. The boys are coming over and Will gets to meet Logan. We need to go" I explained quickly.
"Okay" Micheal laughed. "You kids have fun. Will text me if you end up staying for dinner"
"Okay Dad, bye" he said and I finally dragged out of the house and we got in Remi's car.
He drove us to my house. Dad's car was already there.
"Everyones going to be so happy to see you. Oh and Bandy missed his dad." I said as we walked up to the door.
"I missed them." Will laughed.
I opened the door and Bandit came running. He was so excited to see Will again. He basically jumped right into his arms.
"Hey buddy" he said and bent to his level and pet him. Bandit licked his face and I couldn't help but smile at the sight. I don't think I've stopped smiling since he got home.
"I'm home and I have a surprise." I called to the house. There were no little girls coming up to run into my arms so I assumed they were not here. I didn't see Mom's car outside either.
"Will?" Carter asked standing in front of his best friend.
"Carter be careful" Remi chastised. He was fine he had a little limp when her walked but he's getting stronger.
Will crushed his best friend in a hug.
"Hey man" Will said. "Heard about your leg. Getting any better?"
"Well I'm out of the cast and walking so that's good. I got about a month of physical therapy that I have to go through before getting back to the game. My PT wants me to ease back in to it, but if we make it to state that sure as hell isn't happening." Carter explained.
Will laughed and patted him on the back. "Let's hope you make it that far. You deserve one last game."
Dad was the next to hug will then Remi again.
"We're home" Mom said as she walked in with Sky.
"Will!" Sky squealed and jumped in his arms.
He laughed and caught her. "Hey nugget. Did you miss me?"
She nodded vigorously. "Not as much as sissy did. She cried." She pointed over at me.
Will about gave himself whiplash to face me. "You cried?" He asked with a somber look in his eyes. He set Sky down on the couch.
I smiled weakly at him. "A little but you're here now" I wrapped my arms around his waist.
The doorbell rang.
"The boys are here, act happy" I whispered in his ear and kissed his cheek.
"Jokes on you I am happy. I'm here with you, aren't I?" He turned in my arms and faced me.
He leaned down to kiss me and just as we were about to kiss, a very loud voice was heard.
"Will?" Nick yelled in shock as he saw his friend.
I let go of Will and let him hug his friends.

"You weren't supposed to be here until Sunday." Tommy said and hugged Will.
"Yeah well I wanted to see y'all sooner" Will laughed.
"You mean you wanted to see us kick ass tomorrow" Nick said and pretended punched Will in the stomach.
We all laughed.
"Is Logan on his way?" I asked the two boys.
They nodded. "He had to run home really quick." Nick answered.
In the meantime, we all sat in the living room and talked. I sat on Will's lap and everyone found their own spot somewhere. Bandit laid at Will and I's feet.
The doorbell rang and I got up to greet Logan. I opened to door and he was one the other side.
"Hey Logan" I hugged him.
"Hey Cor. Guess the party started without me, huh?" He nodded towards the full living room as he walked in.
"Yeah it started the second I walked in" I joked with him. "Come on, you have to meet Will" I grabbed his wrist and dragged him in the living room.
Will stood up and wrapped his left arm around my waist. Somebody's possessive. It's kind of cute.
"Will, this is Logan. Logan, Will" I introduced.
Will kept his arm around me and reached out his hand for Logan to shake. Logan accepted slowly. I guess he wasn't used to teens shaking hands with other teens.
"You're some big shoes to fill. On the field I mean." Logan laughed awkwardly.
"I heard you're holding up pretty well" Will said.
I didn't expect there to be this much tension when they met each other. Logan was probably nervous about meeting Will because he's a legend at our school and in college. He was probably intimidated.
Will was probably just as jealous. I know he misses playing with his friends here and for my dad. Logan gets to do just that.
We all sat back down. I sat back in Will's lap. Logan ended up on the floor with Tommy.
"I can't wait until the boys come back." Carter said. "It's been empty without everyone here."
"I haven't talked to any of them in a while. Anyone hear from them?" Will asked.
We all shook our heads. I hadn't heard from anyone.
"Karla did say they Darren and Sam were coming for thanksgiving." I said. "She talked to Wanda the other day" I said.
That's all I knew. Karla hadn't heard much else.
"I hope Cole comes too. I'd be nice to get the gang back together" Will said.
I rolled my eyes at him. "The gang? Seriously babe. What is this Scooby Doo?"
"What?" He shrugged.
I couldn't help but smile at my dork. "Nothing you dork" I smiled and gave him a quick kiss.
All the boys groaned. We laughed and broke up the kiss.
"You guys are idiots" I rolled my eyes at them.
"Could've told you that a long time ago, Coco" Dad said as he walked into the living room.
We all laughed.
"I'm going to the store, is anyone staying for dinner?" He asked.
Everyone raised their hands, even Carter.
Dad waved him off with a roll of the eyes. "Not you dumbass. I think Con and Lena are coming too. Looks like it's a party." He grabbed his keys and left the house.

"Don't forget to text your Dad, Will." I reminded him.
"Right" he snapped his fingers. "Thanks snowflake" he pulled out his phone and texted Michael.
We all stayed in the living room for a while. Then I remembered Bandit learned a new trick, Will has yet to see.
"Come on Babe, Bandy has something to show his Dad" I stood up and grabbed Will's hands. I pulled him off the couch. "Do you wanna show Dad your trick?" I asked Bandit. He wagged his tail and ran outside.
I ran upstairs to grab his hoop and frisbee. Then into the backyard. Everyone was outside ready to see the trick. I think Carter and Remi were the only ones who've seen the trick.
I set up the box and got Carter to hold the hoop. The box went up to my waist and the hoop was held about head level.
"Ready?" I asked Will. He nodded. I got Bandit's attention. "Bandit, show" I ordered. He hopped up on the box like he was supposed to. I threw the frisbee and he jumped through the hoop and caught the frisbee in mid air before landing perfectly.
Everyone went up in cheers. Bandit wagged his tail happily. Will hugged and pet our dog.
"He missed his Dad" I told Will as I hugged him.
"Yeah I missed him too" he smiled fondly at our baby. He's grown so much since we first got him.
Dad got home and cooked burgers.
"Nicky can I get on your shoulders?" Sky asked Nick.
"Of course you can squirt" he said and picked her up effortlessly and placed her on his shoulders.
"Wow nugget, I'm hurt you don't want on my shoulders?" Will feigned hurt.
"You're too busy kissing sissy" she said bluntly.
She caused all of us to burst into laughter. "Touché kid touché" he smiled up at her.
"I can see the whole world from here!" She squealed. "Run Nicky Run" she said and Nick followed orders.
He ran around the yard with her giggling on his shoulders. Bandit chased him and barked happily.
"I missed this" Will admitted taking a seat next to me on the swing. Both of my feet were off the ground.
"Missed what?" I asked and looked around the backyard. Everyone was having fun. Logan and Tommy were talking with my dad by the grill. Carter and Remi were laughing with Mom.
"Making memories with you. It's not what it used to be but it's just as good" he said.
I leaned my head on his shoulder and he began to rock the swing. "Yeah" I agreed.
If I looked at a the scene from an outside perception, I would think I was watching a movie. That's slowly what my life began to feel like. A movie. Too good to be true and everyone living their best life.
He placed a kiss on my head and continued rocking us slowly. I closed my eyes and listened to the scene. The slight creek of the old swing and the laughs coming from every direction.
I heard the back door open and a very familiar voice yell. "Don't worry the party has arrived!"
I opened my eyes to see Connor walking through the backyard with his arms spread wide. His gesture was cut short by Lena smacking him in the chest. I laughed at the two.
"Con! Lens!" I said and got up and hugged them.
"Hey Coco" Con hugged me and then Lena. "Will!" He exclaimed in shock and hugged him.
"Hey man" Will laughed and hugged Con.
"Hello Will" Lena hugged him.
Will kissed her cheek. "Nice to see you again Lena. How's life on your own?" He asked.
"I'm never alone" she looked over at Connor, who made his rounds. "I'm stuck with that dork" she laughed.
We nodded with a laugh. "I was too for the past eighteen years, it's your turn" I joked.
Burgers were ready and we all lined up to eat. It was actually a beautiful night so that's where we ate. It was a little chilly but it's been worse.
"I'm getting a drink, you want one?" Will asked.
"Grab me a beer" I answered.
He gave me a disapproving look. "Snowflake it's a school night." He said.
"And I'm only having one. So is Carter." I pointed to the cold beer on his hand.
He shook his head. "Okay, whatever you want" he said and came back a few minutes later with two beers in his hand. He handed one to me.
After dinner was over, we all stayed outside and talked about various things. Will's football career came up several times.
"Come on Sky. It's bath and bed time" Mom said and stood up. The very tired little girl complained but climbed out of Will's lap and inside with her mom.
It wasn't long after that one by one everyone started to go home. Will was the last one to leave around eleven o'clock.
"Can I spend the night?" I asked Will.
"Snowflake, you know I don't have a problem with it, but your Dad might." He laughed and wrapped his arms around me.
I shrugged. "So we don't tell him and I fall asleep at your house." I winked.
"You have school tomorrow." He reminded me.
I pouted. "It seems like you're trying to get rid of me"
"I could never get rid of you" he leaned down and kissed me.
I smiled and kissed him back. I ran my hands through the back of his hair. It has gotten so long.
"Your hair's so long" I whispered against his lips.
"Yeah I haven't had time to get it cut." He said back. "I love you Barnes"
"Not as much as I love you Erickson" I said and gave him one final kiss. "Come see me at school tomorrow?"
"Wouldn't miss it for the world" he smirked at me.
I rolled my eyes with a smile on my face. "Be careful, going home" I told him.
"I will, love you" his kissed me and let go of my waist.
"Love you too" I said as he left my house.
