"So what do you want to do after practice? We could go to either my house or yours to work on the project." Logan asked as we walked from lunch to psychology.
I shrugged. "I'm fine with either."
"Let's go to mine. Mace has been begging me to bring you back over to play again" he laughed.
"She was sweet. Are you sure you're mom is okay with me coming over? She seemed kind of upset last time"
He shook his head. "We talked about it. Macy wouldn't shut up about you and how nice you are and I assured Mom about how amazing you are. She's fine with you coming over but she wants to get to know you a little more."
"I would love to get to know her. She sounds pretty great" I smiled.
"She really is. You can stay over for dinner tonight if you want to" He offered.
"I'd have to ask my dad but it sounds good to me" I said as we entered Trody's class.
We sat in our normal spots just before the bell rang. We never normally cut it that close. Other kids walked in just as the bell rang and seconds after it.
Mr. Trody directed us to open our books as he continued the lesson for the week. Today's lesson was about hypnosis. It was actually a cool lesson to listen to and learn about.
Mr. Trody gave us a short worksheet. It didn't take long especially if you read the book and listened to the lesson. After we finished, he gave us free rein to talk among our partners.
I quickly texted my dad and asked if I could stay at Logan's for dinner. He said I could as long as I was home by nine.
"We're all set for dinner. I have to be home by nine. I hope that's not a problem" I said.
He smiled at me. "Not at all"
"Okay perfect" I smiled back.
The bell rang and we hopped out of our seats and gathered our things.
Our project was actually getting close to being done. The rest was essentially condensing all of our research into ten slides and practicing our presentation. The second part will be a little bit hard.
Logan walked me to class against my will. I told him to get to class on time but this time he was being extra stubborn. I thought that was my job.
"Bye Cora, see you later. Wait, are you allergic to anything?"
"Pickles but other than that no" I said.
"Do you like seafood? My mom is making fried shrimp tacos"
A smile spread over my face. "I love seafood"
I never get to eat sea food because everyone at my house hates it. They claim their allergic to it, but we all know it's a lie.
"Good" waved bye and walked to class.
"Why does he need to know your allergies?" Carter asked curiously but also guarded. He always gets like that around personal things. Even with people he knows. It's weird.
"I'm having dinner at his house tonight after we work on our psych project" I answered. "I finally get to eat seafood for the first time in almost a year"
"Mm seafood" Remi hummed as she sat in her seat.
Carter made a disgusted face. It was a big mistake.
"Carter Maverick, you don't like seafood?" She smacked him in the arm.
"I'm just allergic to it" he defended with his arms up in surrender.
"Don't listen to him Remi. He's not allergic. He hates it so much he claims he's allergic to it. All the boys do. Which is why I haven't had seafood in almost a year"

"Carter Maverick!" She smacked him again.
He put his hands up in defense. He stuck his tongue out at me.
"Okay class listen up please" Mrs. Holt ordered front the top of the classroom.

"A little warning, Macy is kind of obsessed with you because you played Barbies with her last time and apparently you were good at it. Something I am not." I guess Liam was at a friends house again.
I laughed lightly. Macy is so adorable and I really don't mind playing with her. It brings back the good old days. It also makes me wish I had an older sister to play with.
"It's okay. I like her she's sweet." I smiled.
He pulled into his driveway. "I told her we had stuff to do, so we can't play Barbies as soon as we get here."
"Okay" I answered simply.
We got out of the car and headed up to the house. He unlocked the door and opened it for me. He let me go in first.
"Tia I'm home!" He called into the house. This time she walked down with Macy.
"Cora!" Macy squealed and ran up to me. I bent down to her level to give her a hug.
"Hi Macy, how was your day?" I asked her with a smile.
"Fun! We went wimming" she said happily.
"What am I chopped liver?" Logan asked as he bent down with us.
"Loggy" she squealed and wrapped her little arms around his neck. He picked her up and tickled her. She laughed in high pitched squeal.
"Thank you so much Tia. You can go pick up your kids now" he told her. She handed me Sean and I coped at him.
"They're at a friends house for the time being so I have a little bit longer until I have to pick them up. Thank you Logan for being amazing." She hugged Logan then Macy and kissed Sean's head. She waved bye after she grabbed all of her things.
"Okay Mace we have to work. Do you want to watch a movie while you wait?"
She nodded vigorously. He laughed and we walked up to Macy's room. He put on Frozen and she squealed. Her eyes were immediately glued to the TV.
"Sean has to come with us. My room is the next one." He told me.
We walked out of her room and into Logan's. He took Sean from me and set him in the playpen he had in there.
His room was a typical teen guy bedroom. Bed pushed against the wall, desk opposite of that, and a dresser on the other wall. His bed was dark blue and gray.
We set all our stuff down and got out our notes and research. Somehow we ended up sitting on the floor.
We began by comparing notes and deleting stuff that wasn't necessary. It wasn't long after that Logan's mom, Nicole, came into the room and grabbed Sean.
She shut the door on the way out. Which I found weird for her son being in a room alone with a girl. Maybe he told her I have a boyfriend, so she knew nothing would happen.
We spent a long time turning our notes into ten slides of information. Logan slammed his notebook on the ground.
"Okay, I'm done. I can't focus anymore. We need to have some fun" he said and stood up byte first thing he did was stretch his back. Honestly I was feeling the same thing.
"I agree. My back is a little bit sore." I said. I packed my stuff up into my bag and left it in Logan's room.

"Let's go play with Macy until dinner is ready, which shouldn't be long" He said.
I smiled and made my way to her room. I knocked and opened the door out of habit.
She lit up as soon as she saw me walk in her room.
"Do you wanna play Barbies?" I asked her with a smile on my face.
She ran to her Barbies and grabbed two of them. "Pwincess or popsta?" She asked me.
I grabbed the pop star and let her have the princess. Logan got Ken and the three of us played Barbies until Nicole came in to tell us dinner was ready.
It smelled absolutely amazing in the kitchen. We all walked in together. Nicole gave Macy her plate.
"Cora, I don't know what you like. There's corn or flour tortillas, fried shrimp, fresh coleslaw, pico de gallo, and my family favorite recipe cilantro-lime dressing, all homemade." She explained.
"This looks and smells absolutely amazing, Nicole.I can't wait to taste it." I said and grabbed I plate. I grabbed two tortillas and put everything in it. I lathered it in the cilantro-lime dressing. I took a pice of cornbread.
I waited on Logan to finish with his plate and lead me to the dining room. Nicole was the next one in here and we all started eating. It was absolutely delicious.
"This is amazing. I haven't had seafood in almost a year and this is perfect to come back to" I told Nicole.
"Thank you, but why haven't you had it in almost a year?" She questioned.
"My brothers and dad don't like it, so we just don't ever have it."
"What about your mother?" She asked.
Logan shot his mother a glare. "Mom" he warned.
"Sorry is that a tough topic? I had no idea" she apologized and had a regretful look on her face.
I waved her off. "It's fine my mom left when I was seven, but I'm better off with my brothers and dad anyway." I explained.
"How many brothers do you have?" She asked.
"Three older ones. The oldest is in his second year of college, the middle is in his first year, and the youngest is a senior this year like me."
"Twins?" She asked.
I shook my head. "We're nine months apart. I was born a month earlier than I was supposed to be" I answered before she could say ask the other questions that came with this conversation.
After that was over we started talking about homecoming next week. Then the college conversation came up.
I didn't necessarily know what I wanted to do. Then there was the where. I want to be close to my family, but also Will. Which is essentially impossible.
Sooner than later, we had all finished dinner and it was time for me to go. It was only seven thirty but I didn't want to overstay my welcome.
"Thank you so much for having me, Nicole. Dinner was amazing." I told her after I had gathered my stuff from Logan's room.
"It's was nice having you over, Cora. You can come back anytime" she hugged me. "Logan, make sure she gets home safe" she told her son and kissed his cheek. "Love you"
"Love you, bye" he said and we walked outside and into his car. "Do you want to go home just yet?" He asked me.
"I kind of don't want to and I don't have to be back until nine" I said.
"Okay" he said and pulled out of the driveway without another word.
We drove to the gas station and he parked. "Come on" he said and turned off the car before unbuckling his seat belt.
I unbuckled my seatbelt and followed him inside.
"Logan, what are we doing here?" I giggled as he pulled me to the other side of the store.
"Getting slushies" he said as it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Cherry or blue raspberry?"
"Cherry, definitely cherry" I answered.
"What?" He asked in shock. "No blue raspberry all the way"
I shook my head with a laugh. He got me a cherry slushy and him a blue raspberry one. We walked up to the counter and Logan paid for the slushies even after I by old him I'd pay for mine.
We went back out to the car. Logan rolled the windows down and turned up the music. I screamed to the songs I knew. Logan just laughed as we drove around town.
"It's sucks that you're not single, because man are you beautiful" Logan said.
My face flushed red at the compliment and I laughed awkwardly. "But I am taken and in love."
"Yeah I know and I'm super happy for you. Will is a very lucky guy"
I thought about him. "Yes he is" I smiled at the thought.
He turned the music back up and we rode around for a little bit longer. He drove me home around eight thirty.
"Before you leave, I have a question for you. Do you want to go to homecoming with me? You know as friends" he asked as I unbuckled my seatbelt.
"Yes, I will" I smiled over at him.
"Okay perfect. See you tomorrow." He waved at me and I hopped out of the car and grabbed my bag from the floorboard.
"Bye Logan, thank you for dinner and slushies. See you tomorrow" I said and went inside.
Bandit immediately attacked me at the door. I bent down and kissed his head and gave some pets.
"Hey sweetie" Harper said as she cleaned some dishes.
"Hey Harp" I said. "Dad have you cleaning the dishes?" I joked.
She laughed lightly. "No, I cooked dinner tonight and Sky wanted Randy to read her a bedtime story. He just gave her a bath. You might be able to say goodnight before she falls asleep."
I hugged her and made my way upstairs to Connor's old room. Though he hasn't completely moved out yet, he's almost never home. He's always sleeping over at Lena's.
They found an apartment and are signing the lease this weekend
I knocked softly and opened the door. Dad was sitting to the side of the bed as he read her a book.
She was halfway asleep when I walked over and kissed her little head. I sat next to Dad and laid my head on his shoulder. He kissed my head and went back to reading.
I can't wait for Harper and Sky to move in for real. They're here most of the time and have a bunch of their things here already.
We both whispered goodnight to the sleeping girl and walked out of the room.
"How's the project coming?" Dad asked me.
"Oh its good. Almost done really and it's not due until next week."
"That's my girl" he high-fived me. I laughed and walked to my room while he walked downstairs.
I went to my room and hopped on my bed. I called Will.
"Hey Babe" I said as he answered the call.
"Hey snowflake, where have you been? I was calling you. You worried me."
"Sorry Will, I was out with Logan and I didn't hear my phone ringing."
He sighed in the other end of the phone. "Logan, huh? I better get to know this guy so I know if he trying to steal my girl" he joked.
I laughed. "Will, it's not like that. He just my friend. I shouldn't be worried about Ellie, should I?"
"No, you shouldn't"
We talked about our days as I got ready for bed.
