《Chasing Rainbows//Myungjin》fallen

myungjun fell asleep about halfway through the movie. i didn't notice until i kept asking him why he wasn't answering. i looked down to see him asleep peacefully. he looked ethereal. he always talks about how unattractive he is. i honestly don't get where. he looks perfect to me. he's the sunshine in my life. i never told him this, but back when we first met, i was struggling with depression. now, i haven't had to see a therapist in 2 years. that's how amazing myungie is. if only he realized how perfectly amazing he was. ok, so maybe i have a small crush on him. but he'd never like me back. before you think i'm gonna say how terrible i am, stop. i'm not. myungjun tells me that i'm amazing and i'll believe that. it's not healthy to doubt yourself. it's just that, no matter how good i seem, i'm not good enough for an angel like him. but i accept that.
i woke up before him the next morning. i looked down at his sleeping face and admired his features. everything about him is just so beautiful. i groaned when the alarm went off, waking myungjun from his beautiful slumber.
i rolled over to press snooze and rolled back to myungjun, trying to get a little more sleep with him in my arms. he pushed me off, and sat straight up. his fluffy hair was pointing in twenty different directions at once, and he rubbed his eyes with his fists, like a little child. he was honestly the cutest thing ever.
"jinwoo, we shouldn't be laying around all day. we have school to go to." he was quick to scold me but sneezed right after.
"nope. you are absolutely not allowed to go today. you're sick." i said pulling him back in my arms.

"ok, one, it's just a cold, and two, you're not sick," he said matter-of-factly even though his face was pressed into my chest.
i was quick to respond though. "you are still considered sick, and plus, i should stay home to take care of you. got that?"
he nodded his head, and buried his face further. "but i should text jeonghan that i won't be there today so he can tell chan."
i reached over to his phone on my bedside table, typed in his password, and sent a text to jeonghan saying "this is jinwoo. myungjun is feeling ill today, so we won't be at school today. please pass the message to little channie."
i then set the phone back and quickly cuddled back with myungjun.
my dad called from downstairs, "jinwoo, myungjun, i'm leaving for work. stay safe, boys, and don't get yourself into any trouble."
"ok, dad! please call school and tell them that myungjun and i are sick." i yelled back. i heard a distant ok and a door slam. looks like it's just us now.
i looked at myungjun, who already fell back asleep. i decided to close my eyes, too, and soon drifted back into sleep.
when i woke, i felt cold. myungjun was nowhere to be seen, and i saw the clock read 11:30. i smelled food and quickly clued in where myungie went.
i trudged downstairs and leaned against the kitchen doorway, watching myungjun cook as he hummed a tune to a familiar song. i suddenly had an idea.
i quietly crept behind him and slid my arms around his waist. i placed my head on his shoulder, and told him, "you look like a housewife."
he jumped a little and scolded me on scaring him. i just laughed at how cute he was. he frowned that i wasn't taking him seriously, and smacked me with a spoon.

"ouch, what was that for, sweetheart?" i said, rubbing the spot on my arm that he hit.
he grinned sheepishly and replied sassily, "i'm sorry, darling, but i'm cooking for you, and you scaring could make me mess up. would you like to cook instead?" he tilted his head at me.
i raised my hands in defeat. "sorry, babe. i'd burn the house down. you continue then. i'll just go watch tv." i replied.
"don't do that! i still want you in here. i wanna talk to you. it gets kind of boring to stand in here alone and cook." he said giving me puppy eyes. i sat down at the little island in the kitchen, and grabbed an apple to eat as a snack until lunch was ready.
"so watcha wanna talk about, darling," i asked. sometimes we'd call each other cute couple names, just because. it was a thing we did often.
"i don't know. it's just nice having company." he replied. with that, i did a majority of the talking while he cooked. soon enough, it was done, and we sat the dining room table, eating peacefully. when we were done, he tried taking my plate for me, but i took his instead.
"sorry, babe, but you cooked, so i'll clean." and with that i cleaned the dishes. he sat on the couch flipping through channels.
i came behind him and hugged him. "wanna go to the movies? we could go watch that new movie that came out that you wanted to see. what was it again?"
"justice league! it looks like it'll be really good!" he said starting to jump up and down.
"ok, princess. go get dressed then."
---
when we got out of the movies, he just wouldn't shut up.
"ezra miller was so funny! and he's so attractive, too! oh my god and wonder woman was so cool! she's definitely the best woman in the dceu!" he went on and on.
"hush, baby. you're talking so much that it's giving me a headache," i chuckled, giving the shorter a smile.
he smiled back, grabbed my hand and started swinging them back and forth. if someone saw us randomly, they'd think we were a couple. i laughed at his cuteness and he pouted.
"what's so funny? did i do something stupid again?" he curiously wondered. i laughed again before replying.
"nope. i'm just laughing at how cute you are."
he blushed at my statement and looked down at my feet. he started moving his feet in time with me to pass time. and when i thought he couldn't get any cuter, he looked up at me and said, "jinwoo, you are my bestest friend and i have no idea what i would do without you."
after saying that, he looked back down smiling and i clutched my chest, faking pain.
"you're so cute that i just might explode!" i gasped. he just giggled.
---
soon, we were at his house. his mom wanted him home for tonight. i dropped him off, and said a quick hello to his mom. she just smiled sweetly like her son does all the time, and left to finish dinner for them.
"i'll see you tomorrow, then, princess?" i asked myungie. he just nodded his head, and i left.
i already miss him.
damn.
i've fallen hard.
