《SECOND TRIAL | tk | ✓》69. RESCUE

they say wisdom that comes with great age makes people fearless.
but taehyung is neither old enough to achieve that nor does he consider himself wise.
in some ways he's still that timid young omega who ran away from home and roamed around the seoul street homeless,
now years later even after being a parent and with a roof over his head, there are nights when he silently cries onto the pillow.
but still all those things considered, taehyung sure isn't afraid anymore.
it has come to a point where he asks himself- "how bad can it get anyway?".
after years of living in fear, of days spend wondering if he'll make out of it alive, all the torture and pain he endured; life now fails to surprise him with new plots.
so that kind of means he can now jump head straight into a pool of trouble and still swim out without breaking a sweat.
but, taehyung is still taehyung,
he is soft, not a big fan of violence and practically an angel fell into the realms of hell.
so maybe thats why when kang lifted a hand towards taehyung and hoseoks bullet pierced the old man's forehead, taehyung yelped startled causing to accidentally press the trigger of his own gun, effectively shooting kang in the crotch.
ouchie!
oh well, he totally deserved it.
taehyung didn't spare a glance to the dead body after that, waiting for yoongi to confirm the location that kang had given to them before his tragic demise.
the beta with his fast fingers and the brain of a god only needed minutes to give taehyung the green go. so taehyung pocketed his phone and steeled himself.
outside, kangs guards are still unknowing of their boss's murder thanks to the silencers on the gun.
so the omega mussed his hair, smudged the lip stain on his lips and looked up at the ceiling and thought of his unfair life until tears pooled in his eyes.
then he got out of the giant room in his perfect facade, carefully closing the door behind, head drooped down submissive as he walked back the way he came.
the cooridors no more looked claustrophobic to him, even the cigarette and alcohol scents smelt like a reminder of victory.
of course snickers and crude comments followed him.
but all those people of power and strength were right now nothing but fools infront of taehyung.
maybe how taehyung landed back into the same mafia business from which he ran away was an act of impulse, for he himself surely knew that he didn't owe nothing to seokjin or jungkook.

as he walked out of the main gate, his hands still shook, the weight of the gun on his waist felt too pronounced; still, pride stirred deep in his heart, feeling not so powerless for once like the breeze turned storm he is, that dissipated into thin air after one last swirl.
after exiting the mansion, taehyung didn't have to walk too much through the empty roads until hoseok picked him up.
and once inside the car, the omega downed a bottle of water until hoseok assured him that he was indeed very brave out there.
the car moved swiftly, picking up yoongi too on the way and they after a short ride stopped infront of an abandoned multistoried building under construction.
as he gazed up at the grey mass of cement with the jacket hoseok lended him hugged close, rain splattered around in a muted hiss, the clouds hiding the sun making the atmosphere look like a slimy rainy day rather than the warm sunny the weather app claims it to be.
taehyungs shoes scrunch and splash against the muddy water and as they all split to look through the massive building, taehyung for a minute stands there gazing at the dark tunnel of degrading path from which plantlets sprout and lone pigeons chirp.
his light footsteps barely echoed, the chillness of air made him sniff, lips bitten red as eyes peeked through every lone room as he descended up the steps.
there were no one in sight and taehyung briefly wondered if they're being fooled, until through the eerie silence he heard the clutter of a chain.
the omega was cautious as he slid closer to the cold wall and eyes peered into the room, and his face nearly lost its color when he found jungkook.
taehyung hurried in and stopped a distance away, breath getting labored at the puddle of blood at the foot of the rusty bed, eyes widening at the wounds peeking through the others nearly shredded shirt.
for a moment taehyung feared if they were too late, until jungkook again took a wheezing breath, his body shuddering against the cold air, a lone tear unknowing sliding down the alphas face, dissappearing onto his hairline.
taehyung this time walked closer, peering down at the alpha with wide concerned eyes, before his hands fumble towards the chains painfully cutting onto jungkooks skin.
at the feel of warm hands on his skin jungkooks eyes fluttered open fighting the tiredness and in the hazy mess of awareness saw the silhoutte of a person, which became clear as his eyes focused.
his brain was a mess with the drugs, body numb from blood loss and lips blue in the cold,

despite, jungkook cracked a humorless smile,
"--never really thought i would end up in heaven" jungkook cocked his head to the side, tired eyes watching taehyung fumbling with the chain.
at the alphas voice, taehyungs head shot up.
"am i dead?" jungkook then asks, voice barely there.
"not yet, but you look three quarters the way there" taehyung mumbles back before going back to his task.
jungkook just hums, eyebrows furrowed to focus on taehyung more as the chains around him fell lose and the alpha groaned throaty in pain.
"damn you look really good in that jacket" jungkook offhandedly comments and gave taehyung a lopsided grin.
"its hoseoks" taehyung comments as he pulled at the blood soaked chains.
"why are you accepting clothes from other alphas?!" jungkooks accusing voice came uncharacteristically whiny, combined with a pout making taehyungs wonder the heck did they inject him with.
"did getting hit by a truck did nothing to mend you?" the omega scoffs.
"nah babe. but a kiss from you could" jungkook winked and winced simultaneously.
taehyung for a moment looks at the cracked ceiling wondering why the hell he is doing this.
will his pups hate him if he leave jungkook to die here now?!
"shut up, jeon!" taehyung grumbles instead as he unwinds the chain and now a bit free to move the alpha scooted closer.
"why ignoring me, darling? did i got you all blushing red?" jungkooks hand settles around the omegas waist.
"dont make me leave you here to die--" taehyung warned, but jungkook only pulled him closer to him.
taehyung was about to push the alpha away, maybe give him a punch when jungkook unexpectedly hoisted himself up.
the omega yelped when jungkook pulled him closer, the chain jingling as the alphas other hand moved.
taehyung had to blink a few times to get his bearings together and then when he turned around he saw the other omega, ayami pinned onto the bed with the chain in jungkooks arm wrapped around her neck.
looks like the bitch was not much successful sneaking up on them carrying that giant metal rod of hers.
"you might not want to see this, darling" jungkook whispered against taehyungs ear and the omega hid his face in jungkooks neck.
the alpha took the gun tucked in taehyungs waist, gave it a twirl before fitting the nozzle in ayami's gasping mouth.
"i hope hell will be done with you by the time i get there"
with that jungkook pulled the trigger.

after that it didn't take long for hoseok and yoongi to find them.
by the time the three of them manged to get jungkook into the car, the alpha was bleeding from his nose.
"shouldn't we get him to a hospital here?" taehyung panics as jungkook loses his consciousness, the alphas head now on his lap, all the blood staining taehyung sweater and soaking through the car seat.
"not safe" hoseok grits out as the car speeds through.
they were in the private jet in an hour and yoongi had an iv drip going on for jungkook to sustain him through the two hour jet ride.
thanks to seokjin and his connections an ambulance was waiting for them in the airport.
a little energy back in his system, jungkook grunted and winced when he was transferred to a stretcher.
as paramedics rushed around him, jungkooks hand fumbled until they found taehyungs.
the alphas hand held taehyungs blood soaked sleeve as he forced his eyes open and said-
"haesoo and jongwon"
"what?" taehyung asked confused.
"haesoo for our six toes and jongwon for the little alpha" jungkook murmured through his fastening breath.
"why are you saying it like that now?" taehyung then asks amidst people rushing around.
"like what?" jungkook questions.
"like-- as if this is our last talk and you're going to die"
"maybe. who knows?" jungkook grins lopsided and shrugs.
"hm such a shame. i was kinda planning on 'mending' you?" the omega shrugs with a smirk and takes a step back from the alphas grip.
"huh?" jungkooks face furrows in concentration before he remembers their conversation earlier and suddenly become alert out of no where,
"kiss! you-- you'll kiss me? what? really?--"
"i dont think a kiss is enough to fix you-- maybe we'll have to go a few steps further" taehyung smirks.
"w-what?" jungkook gulps and intelligently says as they wheel him away.
taehyung though blood soaked and tired to his bones, had to bite his lips to not break out into a smile.
till the ambulance door closed, jungkook had that wide saucer eyed look on his face.
well looks like the coming long hospital stay wont be too hard for the alpha.
"horny bastard" the omega then shakes his head.
well, that was one eventful day- of him witnessing two murders and a successful rescue operation.
whats done is done.
now he cant wait to go back home and scent his pups,
their haesoo and jongwon.
so he walks away to the car where hoseok and yoongi were waiting for him.

The fallen (?) hero and Aži Dahāka's soul fragment
I have to apologize.A certain real life problem that I thought I got rid of has caught up to me once again.I tried to continue writing, but my mind was not in the right track to do so and thus, as some people had said, the quality of the latest 2 chapters had turned from the usual "bad" to "worst". So, I reluctantly have to say that I will be away until I can sort things out.I can't say when, but I do intend to return to writing. I might lurk around to read other people's works though. I will be turning my attention to stories with "tragedy" and "despair". The five of us were summoned to this world from our clubroom two years ago to be made as heroes.Shouldn't forceful summoning like that be counted as kidnapping?Well, we chose to go with the heroes route. After harsh training and battles, not to mention all the killings, we finally defeated the demon lord. However, all those achievements literally became nothing, it wasn't just forgotten, it was erased to be totally nothing as even the written records were somehow being disposed of. I was too naive. Who would have thought that the side we have been fighting alongside with, the side we were fighting for, was the one to bring our demise? After I had to see everyone else turn into nothingness, somehow... I alone survived. Note: I will attempt to fix the grammar problem with the help of lieutenant colonel fletterman. This may delay the release of future chapter. Chapter 1 is fixed. Chapter 2 is fixed.
